I have flown with more than 20 Airlines and Emitates has always offered consistent, wonderful flying experience, hands down....I have connections with other Airlines and I tell them to their face that I will not attempt to fly with them if they don't lift their game.

Hi Homer, that looked like a very nice flight. Was that really Economy? Looked like it could have been Business class - excellent. Heard that Emirates was an excellent airline before. Seeing that little bit of the countryside after taking off from Hamburg tugged at the heart strings - lived in Hamburg for 2 years back in the late 1980s (Halstenbeck). Flew from Hamburg to Jeddah once, via Frankfurt. Went to Dubai in the late 1970s - airport definitely not like the one shown in your video. Regards

@homer3152 I seem to have travelled quite a bit during my working life. My first long haul trip was UK to Qatar in the late 1970s. LHR to Bahrain on a Quantas flight - very cramped in econ and quite unpleasant. Local airline Bahrain to Qatar - better (forget which airline now). This trip started my love of the Middle East and I eventually got a job in Jeddah, in 1981. First flight out to Jeddah was a one way ticket and it was in Business - lovely (Saudia) but no alcohol. If I'm not mistaken, this was filmed inside a 777. May I ask, did you feel cramped because of the seating arrangement? (I know that EK features 10-abreast seating in their economy class, instead of 9-abreast like other airlines)

@wavokiaado Well, once you have done your booking you can choose the seat on the EK website..you also can change it. There you will see the twin seats at the back of the plane..maybe you are lucky. You can reserve them online..and then, if a few days later somebody sits next to you, you can easily change the seat again. On the other hand: if you take 3 seat row there is always a chance the middle remains free. In the end: I would request at check in that you get a seat with a lady next to you:)

I wanted to take Emirates to come to Germany, but my friend wanted a non-stop flight... so we had Condor from Mauritius to Frankfurt. But next time, I WILL GO ON EMIRATES from Hamburg. My mum was on a Mauritius-Dubay-Toronto flight with Emirates, and she simply cannot stop talking about it. It's a wonderful company. And you should see the firts class private cabins. @thejack544 You are right. Though on one of my recent flights there were no menues either, because of a lst minute aircraft change. These things happen. Better to be without menue cards, but fly safe:)

I have to say i think your videos are the best on youtube and show a full insight into emirates. i have a question, i am travelling to malaysia on the 13th (no jokes please) of august, from birmingham in the UK via dubai (inc a 10 hr stop over) i am flying firstly on a 777-300ER and it says it has new generation economy seats and i thought that meant ice widescreen, however it just says ice? second plane is minus the "ER" and says the same only with lie down b. class

u were lucky to get good crew in economy class :D -- I find most of their crews unattentive in economy class on most of the flight -- they like dissapear after meal services. when i press the call buttonn they don't you -- you go to them. some crew smile but during drink service i got ths rude indian crew that asked"Drinks for you" and i said "let me see" and she was looking at her watch and doing other signs telling me to hurry up.

@hallangell12 Sorry to hear that. I must admit that not all crew on this flight were as outstanding as the FA serving on my side..but they were not really bad either. In your case you should have written a comment card..did you? EK quality control is taking this very serious and does a great job.

@hallangell12 You have to ask for the comment card; often then the cabon chief checks by to see whether everything is ok and/or she can do something for you. I also wrote them - more often - when i like the service. As to more trip reports: did you check all my other vids, lol?
