The Rock was the best entertainer WWE has ever seen though. When he was a heel, the crowd still cheered as much as they jeered. It was like they forgot they weren't supposed to like him for a moment.

True fighters have like 2 or 3 months between their matches to train and recover and wrestlers need 2 to 3 days because they are actors...

The Rock is the best entertainer in the business. People prefer him to Cena, Lesnar, etc. because of his persona, not because he is a superior wrestler. If you were to rank WWE superstars in terms of wrestling ability, actual wrestling ability, then neither Cena, Rock or Goldberg would be the best of those mentioned above, Lesnar would.

The reason Goldberg won was that Rock was being written out gradually, and Goldberg was new and one of the WCW legends. To keep that reputation they had to write him in with a big win in the WWE.
