I soloed Doan on my lvl 34 warrior just yesterday. i was tanking but i Dcd, and the grp left, so I though "what the heck, Ill try". I noticed that I had forgotten to use shield block afterwards, but hes a mage, so the difference wouldnt make the fight much easier.

The reason I wore mage gear in the first fight was because I thought it was cool to wear the caster hat from final boss while destroying the others...I outgeared it too much to matter.

Also, Herod is 37, not 40. This is why he appears green. Zoom in on my health bar...I'm 40.

Whitemane/Mograine were the real challenge. Killing 2 lvl 40 elites, twice, while the chick cannot be interrupted and constantly moves/spams heal is way harder 0_0

u know you can do this for getting stuff off bosses and dissenchanting them and getting shard for fiery weapon
