With any crime investigation the discovery process evolves and changes as new information is added. The "pristine bullet" was found the day of the assassination. If the bullet were discovered days after the shooting, then there would be a serious credibility problem of the investigation. You need to interpret without bias.

There were several witnesses close to that fence and they were clear that they didn't hear any shots fired from that close to them. In 1978 Gordon Arnold came forward for the first time ever and claimed to be such a witness, but there is no contemporaneous documentation of him really being there that day.

As a former believer of "conspiracy" I recall watching TMWKK years ago and being moved by Arnold's reaction. Years later, and after discovering Arnold had changed his story a couple of times, his credibility eroded away.
Arnold is acting when he tears up and begins to look scared. He convinced himself of his fabricated story. He wasn't there.

There were several witnesses close to that fence and they were clear that they didn't hear any shots fired from that close to them.
