  • i wonder what thing that was, that you hold in your hands in

    the first picture 0:

  • Will this work with a foam cup?

  • You are so very clever and talented. I love your tutorials.

  • It doesn't work.....

  • @MrsMiiWii Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I tried all my polish and I have like 4 that works. I also use room temperature filtered water. Thanks anyway, is I have any problems I'll inbox you :)

  • dats awesome designed

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Could I use a toothpick instead of an orangestick????

  • @randomstalkergirl anything with a fine point will work =)

  • Very pretty i like it!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @AnimesLuvUm if your colors don't work, you're going to need to buy different polishes, but there really is no secret other than practice =)

  • @AnimesLuvUm you better take your age off of here mom is gonna tell you when you waake up!

  • @TheLinneaful try different polishes. They may be drying to quick. Or move a little quicker.

  • These are beautiful! You have amazing ideas for nails. I can't wait to try them(:

  • do u have to use the same brand polish? i have tried all this and it still dont work can u please do a how to water marble video please and please do ur whole hand

  • @Basketball31ish you can use any brand, although sometimes colors from the same brand work easier - are you using room temperature filtered water? as for a how-to ... well, that's what this is LOL. I don't think I need to do the whole hand - it is the same process for every nail =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues do you need to use filtered water? can u use tap water

  • @sassy140301 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher because most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well. Bottled is also usually OK as long as there are no additives. You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Okay thanks I think I got it now..

  • How do you keep from getting bubbles in your color? I always have water drops that stick to my nails when I pull them from the water, and then the bubbles leave spots on my nails.. help!!

  • @ronroxyoursox My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • Do you always need to use a base coat?...I'm a noob. :D

  • @DawnOnSeptember it’s not required, but I always recommend a base coat to help it stick to you nail & also a base color because it helps the marble colors be more opaque & vibrant =)

  • Does N.Y.C. polish work for water marbling

  • @aceofgrace7 You can’t tell just by brand - the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

  • I did this with non metallic bloody red and more transparent white and now my nails look like a horror movie, splattered with blood :D Else it's a good technique though I had to put some effort as it was my first time. I'll buy more colors and try it more! :)

  • thanks for advises in the comment area :)

  • okay am I the only one that thought that was insanely cool xDDD It looks better than designs I've seen people pay for! your a genius xD

  • hihi! what are the paper that you stick to your fingers to prevent the polish from sticking on your skin?

  • @shipeiheartsdbsk It’s just tape – you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • OMG!!!!!! SO BEATIFUL!!!!!!

  • have you ever made a misstake ?? could you make blubers?

  • @Brookelynbr occasionally, but not usually on camera =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues oh cool btw your really good at this stuf i watch u like all the time

  • Genius!!!!!!!!!!

  • im using room temp filtered water but my colors just wont spread =C can you make like a tip tutorial or something?

  • @xXxsakuraxXx610 a couple things - not everyone's room is the same temp, mine is usually mid-70's. The size of the cup matters also, polish seems to spread better in a small cup - & last is that not every polish works, it can take a lot of trial & error to find colors that spread well =)

  • what do use to draw at the polish?

  • @jolyay it's an orange stick - but you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • You have the best water marble nail art videos on youtube by far! Very informative with great tips and unique color combinations and designs :0)

  • this is the best nail tutorial i have ever seen ! i can't wait for my nails to grow so i can try it too.. thank you so much for doing this !! i absolutely adore it <3

  • i love it

  • are your nails real?

  • @sunshineyes1 yes, my nails are natural =)

  • my nail polished don't spread can you tell me why?

  • @qurooj Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues okay thanks i used slightly warmer i think then room temp but thanks for the advice =)

  • the nail just get out dryed?

  • @MILKSHAKEgirl100 not dyed - covered in polish =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasures what kind of brand is the best when it comes to water marbling?:)

  • @YenJoLOL there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • You're amazing you know that!!! <3

  • this is brilliant! when i try to move the nail poishes in the water, they often dry very quick and it drags all the nail polish and pull them out of the water, do you happen to know why this is?

  • @disghurlx every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Okay thank you, i'll trry to find polishes that don' dry as fast:) and no there's no fan, thank you:)

  • loreal and nivea work

  • hey, will Funky Fingers polish work, or only Ulta and Sally Hanson? how about Loreal?

  • @kaceykat28 you can use any brand of polish, but not every color works =)

  • @mysimplelittlepleasures u rock!!! How many bottles of nail polish do u have ???:):)

  • @puppyluvnev over 1600 bottles =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Oh my gosh! haha u are so lucky to have so many! (:

  • magnifique!!

  • I love this idea, how exactly do you put the tape on and how do u remove it could you do a video on that please?

  • @justjules7 check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply & remove it =)

  • @simplelittlepleasures You are amazing! You do the best nail art ever! We are 2 of your fans and we have a question. How many days or weeks or months we should let our nails grow so they can be long enough for water marbling?

  • @xNailAddict water marbling works on short nails too =) but everyone's nails grow at a different rate, just take care of them until they're the length that you want, it might take a couple weeks or a couple months

  • use pure water right ?

  • @Rotten8055 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher =)

  • PERFECT !!

  • Hiw many time it cost ?

  • @Pink99Muffin it depends how many nails you dip at a time from half an hour to around an hour =)

  • What happens if you don't have room temperature water? I tried doing his but,

  • @yeshagurlie199 polish won't spread as well in cold water - You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • I can't do that I've tried but can't :| :(((

  • @salome649 Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thank you <3 :))

  • THIS IS REALLY REALLY AWSOME!!!!

  • what do i do to make sure my finger doesn't get covered by nail polish when i am putting it on ?

  • @SuperPeaceout5 that's what the tape is for - you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I am using liquid cream on my fingers, and then i can easily take the excess polish with Q-tip, and its healthy for my fingers.

  • @TheEli4kaa It's been on my to-do list for a while now to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick etc, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Aside from the fact that it seems like it would be very messy, several viewers have told me that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ok, I recommend it. And it will be cool if you will do a tutorial about this.

  • Thanks for these videos! I cant wait to try some of the designs!

  • amazing tips...thanks

  • @SimpleLittlePleasures its when the nail polish drys over the water and cant be used if you still dont get this watch my video and it explains it.

  • @littlenails123 I see - if the polish is drying then you need to either work faster or find colors that dry slower =)

  • I tried doing this with OPI black, purple & silver.. it didnt work because it didnt spread in the water like your polish does... how come ?

  • @Geekymelanie Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • i loved this , thanks !

  • has any of your pattens ever tightened??

  • @littlenails123 sorry but I don't understand what you mean by tightened?

  • You are amazing what you do is great love your videos

  • this is so cool! btw this is my bros account

  • @TheNamikazeSatelite ikr!

btw this is my bro's account as well (:

    iLove this woman's videos.

  • @simplelittlepleasues

i love this idea and i think i have seen like almost all of your water marble videos and there all so pretty but im not very good at it but i was wondering is there any possible way of doing zebra stripes while water marbeling?? please answer!!

  • @leslieaparicio28 the stripe pattern like in this vid would probably be the place to start, but usually if I want an animal print I just use Konad =)

  • @leslieaparicio28 I Think You Can.If You Do Basically This Exact Same Style,But Make The Stripes A Bit More Farther Than Each Other. And Instead Of Red&White You Can Use Black&White Nail Polish.

  • Any nail polish xxx

  • @Buttylicous123 you can use any brand of polish, but not every color works =)

  • Can you use absolutely

  • how do you make the plastic paper to cover your fingers or skin on getting the nail polish? :D thankyou

  • @jinfei12345 It’s just tape – you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • -koff YOU'RE AN ARTIST!!!!! I'M NOT KIDDING YOU ARE A TRUE ARTIST! koff-

  • cn you use warm bottled water??

  • @LiLsweatheart1 I think it would be difficult to keep warm for the whole manicure, that's why I stick with room temp =)

  • that's amazing !

  • any ideas for water marbeling when u have very little nail polish

  • @theKRMsisters well, you can use fewer drops ... or buy more polish =)

  • is this healthy for your nails

  • i love ur videos and instead of using filtered water can u use tap water

  • @sassy140301 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher because most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well. Bottled is also usually OK as long as there are no additives. You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)

  • Love this one, Collette!!

  • do you run out of polish really fast

  • @theKRMsisters no - I have a lot =)

  • do u use the funky fingers brand at all or any tips on making your own nail polish

  • @theKRMsisters I only have one funky fingers, I haven't marbled with it - if you mean making it from scratch I have no idea LOL, if you mean like frankening you just mix until you have something you like =)

  • wow thats really nice!

  • Does bottled water like the springs water or something help cause i dont have filtered water. PLEASE RESPOND!

  • @rosebud2880 I'd say either would be better than tap but I haven't tried them =)

  • Do u have kids?? If so, ur daughter must be proud

  • @mybieberful no kids =) unless I count my cat LOL

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues LOL! U should have kids!! They would be so proud

  • @SophieAndJoy they’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =)

  • How do you keep your nails so long? 0_0 I bite my nails but are trying to grow them out.

  • @BellaSING13 I keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • @lilberry1157 you can't post links in comments but my christmas playlist is in the information box =)

  • THIS IS SO COOL!

  • How do you make it so clean around your nails?

  • @mikaykay417 I use a brush dipped in acetone for what's left after the tape is removed – you can check out the clean up tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how =)

  • brilliant!! Thanks so much, I've been working on this a lot on my own from last year and found Sephora colors that didn't bleed, but couldn't get the design stroke right. Thanks for uploading!!

  • any idea to avoid the nail polish from staining the undernails?

  • @MrBBbabe not much option when marbling although I suppose you could try taping - if it's excessive I just clean it with a qtip dipped in remover =)

  • this is my fav marbling technique

    le stripe never fails :)

  • They are so pretty! I love your marble nail tutorials (:

  • I just tried this...and it worked GREAT. :)

  • Thats so super cool. Looks yummy. Thats the first tutorial i ever saw dipping more than one finger. I was always asking myself if thats possible..cauz sometime the design on the water..the left over..was so pretty..but then just taken away with cotton on a stick. So..now i know that i can dip more than one. I will try ...i never tried that kind of nail art. Thank you for this tutorial. Regards from germany

  • <3 this video!!! could you do one with blue orange, yellow and green?

  • @neesharocky1 I'll add those to my request list =)

  • Oh I wish I would have seen this earlier in the day! Would be awesome for a party tomorrow! Who am I kidding? I'm staying up to try this!

  • Lovely!

  • how do u do this without getting bubbles on your nails ? help??

  • @luvgal99 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thank you :)

  • lol...i am male....and i look at this things...its cool.... nice work...

  • I saw it before but I wanted to see it again.. do you have a nail polish collection vid? Or a link to the collection on your blog? Thanks! =)

  • @HogwartsGirlx in the right sidebar of my blog there's a dropdown for my labels - look under the tag "my stash" & I think it's the 2nd post that will show up =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks!! I love looking at it LOL =D

  • I get a cloudy look on my nails :( not sure why

  • I struggled with this marble. I used pure ice superstar white and china glaze ruby red. The whilte didn't work well it turned out pink ... I really like this design on your nails I'm disappointed that it didn't work for me

  • what brand of nail polish is best? and can you use water from the tap? or filter jug? i tried it once and it went totally wrong :( i mainly have barry M polish x

  • @empbabycakes most tap water is too hard, I use filtered from a brita pitcher. there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thank you i will try it out :) x

  • Does Pure Ice work in water well?

  • @poohter100 You can’t tell just by brand - the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

  • Done this yesterday, think they turned out pretty good

  • hey i was wondering where you got your filtered water from. i have tried using some demineralised water from the super market and it doesnt seem to work as well as your marbling. thanks
