@MrsMiiWii Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
@SimpleLittlePleasues I tried all my polish and I have like 4 that works. I also use room temperature filtered water. Thanks anyway, is I have any problems I'll inbox you :)
do u have to use the same brand polish? i have tried all this and it still dont work can u please do a how to water marble video please and please do ur whole hand
@Basketball31ish you can use any brand, although sometimes colors from the same brand work easier - are you using room temperature filtered water? as for a how-to ... well, that's what this is LOL. I don't think I need to do the whole hand - it is the same process for every nail =)
@sassy140301 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher because most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well. Bottled is also usually OK as long as there are no additives. You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)
How do you keep from getting bubbles in your color? I always have water drops that stick to my nails when I pull them from the water, and then the bubbles leave spots on my nails.. help!!
@ronroxyoursox My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)
@DawnOnSeptember it’s not required, but I always recommend a base coat to help it stick to you nail & also a base color because it helps the marble colors be more opaque & vibrant =)
I did this with non metallic bloody red and more transparent white and now my nails look like a horror movie, splattered with blood :D Else it's a good technique though I had to put some effort as it was my first time. I'll buy more colors and try it more! :)
@shipeiheartsdbsk It’s just tape – you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)
@xXxsakuraxXx610 a couple things - not everyone's room is the same temp, mine is usually mid-70's. The size of the cup matters also, polish seems to spread better in a small cup - & last is that not every polish works, it can take a lot of trial & error to find colors that spread well =)
this is the best nail tutorial i have ever seen ! i can't wait for my nails to grow so i can try it too.. thank you so much for doing this !! i absolutely adore it <3
@qurooj Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. @YenJoLOL there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
this is brilliant! when i try to move the nail poishes in the water, they often dry very quick and it drags all the nail polish and pull them out of the water, do you happen to know why this is?
@disghurlx every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster
@simplelittlepleasures You are amazing! You do the best nail art ever! We are 2 of your fans and we have a question. How many days or weeks or months we should let our nails grow so they can be long enough for water marbling?
@xNailAddict water marbling works on short nails too =) but everyone's nails grow at a different rate, just take care of them until they're the length that you want, it might take a couple weeks or a couple months
@yeshagurlie199 polish won't spread as well in cold water - You can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =)
@salome649 Are you using room temperature filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. @SuperPeaceout5 that's what the tape is for - you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)
@TheEli4kaa It's been on my to-do list for a while now to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick etc, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Aside from the fact that it seems like it would be very messy, several viewers have told me that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)
@Geekymelanie Are you using room temperature filtered water? i love this idea and i think i have seen like almost all of your water marble videos and there all so pretty but im not very good at it but i was wondering is there any possible way of doing zebra stripes while water marbeling?? please answer!!
@leslieaparicio28 I Think You Can.If You Do Basically This Exact Same Style,But Make The Stripes A Bit More Farther Than Each Other. And Instead Of Red&White You Can Use Black&White Nail Polish.
@sassy140301 I always use room temperature filtered water from a Brita pitcher because most tap water is too hard & the polish will not spread as well. brilliant!! Thanks so much, I've been working on this a lot on my own from last year and found Sephora colors that didn't bleed, but couldn't get the design stroke right. Thanks for uploading!!
Thats so super cool. Looks yummy. Thats the first tutorial i ever saw dipping more than one finger. I was always asking myself if thats possible..cauz sometime the design on the water..the left over..was so pretty..but then just taken away with cotton on a stick. So..now i know that i can dip more than one. I will try ...i never tried that kind of nail art. Thank you for this tutorial. Regards from germany
@luvgal99 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)
@HogwartsGirlx in the right sidebar of my blog there's a dropdown for my labels - look under the tag "my stash" & I think it's the 2nd post that will show up =)
I struggled with this marble. I used pure ice superstar white and china glaze ruby red. The whilte didn't work well it turned out pink ... I really like this design on your nails I'm disappointed that it didn't work for me
what brand of nail polish is best? and can you use water from the tap? or filter jug? i tried it once and it went totally wrong :( i mainly have barry M polish x
@empbabycakes most tap water is too hard, I use filtered from a brita pitcher. there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. hey i was wondering where you got your filtered water from. i have tried using some demineralised water from the super market and it doesnt seem to work as well as your marbling. thanks
i wonder what thing that was, that you hold in your hands in

@mikaykay417 I use a brush dipped in acetone for what's left after the tape is removed – you can check out the clean up tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how =)

brilliant!! Thanks so much, I've been working on this a lot on my own from last year and found Sephora colors that didn't bleed, but couldn't get the design stroke right. Thanks for uploading!!

any idea to avoid the nail polish from staining the undernails?
MrBBbabe 2 months ago
@MrBBbabe not much option when marbling although I suppose you could try taping - if it's excessive I just clean it with a qtip dipped in remover =)

Regards from germany

how do u do this without getting bubbles on your nails ? help??
luvgal99 2 months ago
@luvgal99 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip or shake off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

I struggled with this marble. I used pure ice superstar white and china glaze ruby red. The whilte didn't work well it turned out pink ... I really like this design on your nails I'm disappointed that it didn't work for me

what brand of nail polish is best? and can you use water from the tap? or filter jug? i tried it once and it went totally wrong :( i mainly have barry M polish x
empbabycakes 2 months ago
@empbabycakes most tap water is too hard, I use filtered from a brita pitcher. there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

@SimpleLittlePleasues thank you i will try it out :) x

Does Pure Ice work in water well?
poohter100 2 months ago
@poohter100 You can’t tell just by brand - the only way to know for any specific color is to try it =)

Done this yesterday, think they turned out pretty good

hey i was wondering where you got your filtered water from. i have tried using some demineralised water from the super market and it doesnt seem to work as well as your marbling. thanks
