  • 5:47 I think my sister in law was working that train. Yes you guessed it, They both work the rails.

  • 5:25, I think that was my brother in law engineering that one. LOL

  • I just posted 5 quick videos from that station, Very cool.

  • Sucks Amtrak was stopped by the storm but NJT wasn't. That's what they get I guess for keeping 40-year old engines.

  • Standing ovation for this footage. It's some of the best train videos.

  • @mgnyg46 thank you

  • Your 8th train was an F40-PH-2CAT, AND A GP40PH-2

  • nice! i love how the trains look in the snow

  • I have to say tha Rahway is possibly on of the best places to railfan commuter and some friehgt in the US.

  • @PossessedDonutz I agree about this place. Never gets boring at this station

  • So cozy

  • WOW, this video is off the *chain* excellent...not only all the hot trains that look amazing (some of those super expresses, WHOO!!!) -- but also the beautiful snowy day that makes the trains look even more beautiful. Love the inclusion of the board in Penn Station at the end!!! Thanks for this!!

  • the thumbnail to my most recent vid looks just like this one, but mines at night

  • Watching this video makes me think of the storm we just had... hopefully this winter won't be as bad as the last one was.

  • @msmith624 We missed it. We were in Alexandria, VA during the storm.

  • good video!

  • @guginotos Thanks

  • LIKE THIS VIDEO COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SuperNJTRANSIT Thanks

  • you were FREEEEEZING your balls offwerent you???

  • @MilwaukeeSDman Not at all. We love Winter.

  • @SuperStarRendon well I live on long Island and have a house in upstate NY & I nearly do!!!

  • very COLD video lol love it

  • i liv near there in the next town over

  • I like

  • @servi081 Thanks

  • lol failure horn on the 4113. Great snow action.

  • That good, I like watching videos with trains in the snow

    .

  • @SonicbusterX2000 Thanks, Like wise we enjoy watching trains in the snow or rain.

  • Great video! I love watching trains and snow! :)

  • @ILoveJapan8 Thanks

  • You must be chilling in the snow wanting to be brave? Well is your cam waterproof?

If not, maybe stay in the shade or stay indoors.

  • @SonicbusterX2000 Weather was great. Love cold weather. Not waterproof at all.

  • Some of the trains are going way too fast in the snow. In this weather, the trains should be going slow to ensure that they don't have an accident. God forbid a fast-moving train loses traction and flips over in the snow!

  • I wonder is it true that they say taking a Septa R7 trenton express from philly then taking a North east corridor express, from trenton to new york, is equivelent to taking the regional from philly to new york schedule?

  • Almost. We have done that. Not to mention its cheaper

  • @vze428s7 i just love riding on long trips on the NJTransit & the Amtrak. hopefully someday during a snowstorm from boston to new york. but it's risky, danger & cancellations. amtrak is so comfortable. it's worth it on long trips for four hours or more.

  • Great video - I live in Southern California, so I'm wondering: what's all that white stuff?

  • This is a good video! 5*****

  • at the near end of the video was you at newark penn station

  • sorry that is in NYC Penn Station.

  • oh so amtrak and NJT have the same announcment and long island railroad have a different announcer. and yes i had been to NYC before but i wasn't too far from penn station.

  • that is correct, NJT and Amtrak has the same announcer, LIRR is different announcer.

  • A very beautiful video. Thank you. 5*

  • Thank you. Hope you enjoyed it.

  • These are days I HATE traveling by train.

  • I remember when I used to take the LIRR and how bad it was in the snow. NJ Transit was good this time and we had no problem going in to NYC

  • This is when diesel travel is better. Electrics are ineffective in this weather. Rain railfanning is the worst.... hot ones I can deal with but the trains go so slow because of heat restrictions (BOOO).

  • Yeah, I used to take a diesel going to Glenn Cove.

  • Great Video!

  • what's that noise from 3:21 to 3:26

  • I am not 100% sure, but it could be the horn. Sometimes they get filled with snow and sound like crap. If you stop the vid at 3:28 you can see the snow in the horn.

  • that's what I was thinking to, and I understand, but that unit had bonnets, which is suppose to prevent that

  • That is the horn, It was cover with Snow from what I remember. Some of the other trains the bells where cover and all you could hear the clapper trying to hit the bell, but was full of snow. Barely could hear it unless you where near the trains

  • I guess Bonnets are struggling to keep snow out

  • Great video.

  • thanks

  • Nice video hehe

  • Thanks
