  • Lark is a unique name! ;D

Not a typical boring one (you know the ones I mean LOL)

  • @Superbadninja1 Duh what do you think? You clearly don't like SBTB. I Wish school was like that :(

  • what kind of name is lark?

  • @superbadninja1 a name.

  • Why didn't Lisa have a steady relationship

    Zack and Kelly were steady.

    Slater and Jessie were steady.

Heck even Screech even had a steady relationship for some good time with that girl Violet.

Why didn't the writers give anyone to Lisa lol?

I wish they made Lisa and Zack go out just a little bit longer.JUSTSAYIN

  • @IkilledColMustard you forget screech had the hots for lisa

  • @IkilledColMustard It's the same reason they kill off the cool black guy in every movie ever made... The Man.

  • this version is shit

  • I never knew there was a different version and opening sequence to the credits...I don't even remember this from when it was on Saturday mornings on NBC...this must be really rare!

  • @JASONFIED

Yes this is the theme for the first two seasons. for some reason the syndicated reruns use 1991 and beyond theme. Who knows why this show was tampered with for syndication. I think every season of ANY show should have the appropriate theme that was meant for that season, and not be attaching later versions to earlier episodes or vice versa.

  • @cmulwee001 okay, so what I don't get about Saved By The Bell which I think may confuse others is, in between the time when Good Morning Miss Bliss was on Disney and the version that everyone knows of which is still on TBS and what was syndicated on NBC, when did Saved By The Bell actually come on? Was it always a Saturday morning show because I started watching in fall of 1991.

  • @cmulwee001 It's likely that when they switched theme songs, they wanted to have syndication be "the same."

As for the DVDs, they actually shift between this and the other, more common version due to the syndicated versions being used (why they didn't use the original edits is beyond me...maybe they were damaged).

  • Awwww :( i miss saved by the bell !!

  • your just a super tool.... loser rip the video with a computer... it's 2010 take this beped bleep down and do it right

  • i loove zach

  • I remember this intro when i was 4 years old. This was during season 1, at least that's what i remember. it's too bad they don't show this one anymore where i live

  • overall I like the other version better, but I like the "if I can hand it in tomorrow it'll be alright" line on this version.

  • Hawaiian Dance at the end! Hell's yeah!!!

  • The way I remember it is that this version aired a couple of times during the 1989-1990 season(first saturday morning season), and then for most of the 1990-1991 season. You don't see it in syndication because they tacked the 1991-1992 intro on all the reruns.

  • Lol! Nice fail, h22313. It's obvious you just sang along with the intro.

  • They could have used this verison for the first season.

  • @NJCorleone it was the theme song for the first season

    between 89-91

  • That video was a lark.....voorhies

  • Actually, I was just thinking that too...it probably just seems long because the length is shown on the screen.

  • Is it me or is the beginning long? Wait i think it's me lol XD

  • well this was back in the day when they took a minute to entertain people with a song and the opening credits before the show started. Opening credits were often my favorite part of some shows.

  • This was the first music intro for the High School series. I remember it came on after the chipmunks at 11am.

    I like this one better..

  • the shows on NOW

  • whoa no way! what channel and what time?!?!

  • tbs 7-9 am

  • lucking for me they show it on fox

  • same words just dif voice

  • ahhhhh i loved that show ~sweet memories~

  • i cant recall this theme!

  • i love sbtb i love it!!!

  • i prefer jason hackett over travis hackett.

  • This original isn't as good as the later version. Michael Damian was a big star back then and on an NBC daytime soap I think, so they probably wanted someone high profile to do the theme. But I'm glad they changed it.

  • The later version is the original version actually. It was used, then pulled then used again. When GMMB aired in 90' on NBC, the Michale Damian version was used in the opening as well.

  • Oh I didn't know that. When it was shown in the UK we heard the Michael Damian version on the first series.

  • True but the other version was first originally then months later, it was pulled and Michael Damian's was used for a year and a half til' september 1991.

  • i'm glad someone agrees w/ me. even tho michael damian was a "pop star".. i think his version sounds totally silly. plus the guitar solo is better in the other version as well.

  • ugh i hate the singer uv this [da way he soundz] the new version iz SSSOOO much bettr :-\

  • this is the original opening for season 2

  • I think this is the intro from when they were in like 8th grade going into high school. But that version is wierd!

  • This version is from the middle of season one. The version we hear 2day was originally used and then replaced with this one for a year and a half. Fall of 91', the original was used in syndication and in first run.

  • wtf the other one is WAAAY better

  • prob Color Me Badd lol

  • Hold it!

thats the intro that i've been thinking about that must be the very original before the others

  • I think I have 3, 4 different versions of the Saved by The Bell intro? Recorded form the Dutch Nickelodeon in 2004. Now SBTB isn't aired anymore in The Netherlands :(

  • Who was this George Michael wannabee??

  • i like the other one. This one is weird

  • the other guys voice is way better...

  • I prefer this season in all this series sorry for my bad English :(

  • wtf

  • i am the biggest sbtb (saved by the bell) fan on earth!!!! same with the jonas brothers! no offense but...ur tv is ugly

  • i think thats a computer monitor

    lol

  • This was in season 1. This theme was scattered in between afew episodes with the regular opening.

  • actually, this is season 2. Season one has different clips. not to have you look at my vids or anything, but i uploaded season 1 theme.

  • yeah that season too. i was talking about the music.

  • what season is this from?

  • season 1

  • season 2. sorry.

  • it's michael damian! totally remember this thanks for posting!

  • i heard this it is off of 5th season i know because i got it last night

  • yeah i knoe this cuz i have the dvd!! nice thought but i preffer the other guys voice! hahaha

  • i know this is from the dvd because i have it

  • I prefered the other 1, nd i used 2 lurv Zack lol :P

  • this one sucks bad...i like the other guys voice way better...LOL

  • IVE NEVER HEARD THIS ONE IN MY LIFE!!!!! ive been watching saved by the bell since i was like 10-12 and im 23 now and i actually still watch it sometimes...LOL and i never heard this!...

  • I thought I remembered a version that was slightly more "rocking," for lack of a better term. When SBTB was on Saturday mornings, this was the version of the theme. Once it went into syndication, it became the theme we call came to know and love.

  • i miss this show

  • I knew it was another version of that song floating out there, because I remember hearing this one all of the time when it was originally on NBC.

  • thats nice

  • according to the dvd set scott gale sings this version of sbtb theme

  • duhhhhh! its a new season idiots!

  • this seems to be either an older version, or a version that was made specifically for the DVD due to copyrights

  • I hate this version.

  • 0:28. baha

  • sounds like george michael is singing the saved by the bell theme

  • You know what? I was wondering why in the opening credits why do they show some clips of them being younger with the clips when they become a little older. This version shows when they were slightly younger. SBTB has edited their opening so much. Now, I understand. It was only done for syndication.

I have never seen this opening, well, at least not to my knowledge. I don't like it.

  • I remember this opening from 1990 and 1991 on NBC. When the show first started, it used the opening that we hear today in syndication then it was switched to the Michael Damian version during mid season. Almost two years later, we got the original version back which I was happy with to begin with. When NBC aired three Miss Bliss episodes, the Michael Damian version was used as well.

  • Another FYI or piece of trivia. In the 1989 version on NBC, Lisa followed Zack in the opening credits.

  • Yeah, during the first season it was as follows: ZACK LISA SCREECH KELLY SLATER then JESSIE. This is the ORIGINAL vesrion of the season two credits, the opening credits they ALWAYS show now are from season three on.

  • Thanks, i was looking for this version because i like it better. This one was aired with the very first episodes, when they were younger, but later change to the other one that everybody knows when they grew up drastically.

  • By 1991, of course the clips used in the opening were updated and used throught the rest of the series and even used for seasons one and two in syndication.

The only way to see original openings is to watch the DVDs or view actual episodes taped from a VCR between 1989 and 1991

  • heather you are a dime piece.

  • I wish TBS would start showing more episodes from the other seasons, because I haven't got to see any of them. I still think its stupid that they made a new class though.

  • When the show was first aired in the UK, and even now on the syndi eps, this version is used on some season 1 and most of season 2. On ITV, Channel 4, TCC, Trouble and Nickelodeon, this version was used on:

    The Friendship Business

    The Zack Tapes

Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind

    Save That Tiger

    Screech's Birthday

    Slater's Friend

  • And The Babysitters Blind Dates The Prom Zack's War Save the Max Driver's Education House Party Blind Dates Rent-a-Pop Miss Bayside Jessie's Song Model Students 1-900-Crushed Running Zack From Nurse to Worse
  • This is almost the same as the DVD box set, except on the DVD's a lot of these season 2 eps have the original version. Also, the DVD's use this Michael Damian version on episodes like The Election and Aloha Slater, also.

  • Does anyone know where a high quality version of this is on the Internet?

  • This is the theme song I remember from the Saturday morning version. Guess they went for a different version for the syndie airings.

  • actually this is the ORIGINAL theme from 1979 scott gale album in 1989 he was asked to remix it for SBTB with Michael damian

  • Right...Same with the ORIGINAL (also "different") Fresh Prince and Full House theme songs. Those ones were just cut, but this one had an entirely different singer. Thanks for the dates and names!!

  • @h22313 what about that 70's show? that too had a different singer.

  • maricas

  • Hmm. Interesting.

  • It's from the boxset...Obviously you aren't the "SBTB buff" you thought you were, eh? =)

  • @h22313

So, you mean that the DVD's restore the correct theme for the early episodes?

  • this is the seasons 1-4 theme song

  • I don't recall ever hearing this version of the song from the years and years of reruns that I've watched. I have the DVD boxset and they play this version though.

  • ACTUALLY.

u big sbtb buff, this is real and bree you are wrong.

its on season 3 -buy the dvd and watch it once in a while.

  • This was a real theme song. I remember this.

  • I agree with breee03. And I am a big SBTB buff. I would know it if they had another theme song.

  • this version is someone singing over the original...it never changed, except from the good morning miss bliss intro to the one we hear and see everytime we watch SBTB...good try tho

  • Also there was a different version of the intro for the very first season at Bayside High IIRC.

  • You have to consider that when they first went to Bayside none them looked like they did when they were seniors. The intro changed the year Zack and Kelly broke up. And the reason why you see this one on all the syndicated episodes is the same reason why The Simpsons intro is cut short. Cost!

  • The theme is different on the first few seasons of the dvd sets.. o.O

  • i have not seen this intro in a long time, thanks for posting this up.

  • Holy mother, that was almost surreal. I've watched this show billions of times over the past 13-14 years and have NEVER seen this intro. And here I thought I was a SBTB buff. Why isn't this theme ever used in reruns??

  • how come i never seen this intro?

  • They did have 2 themes. But they didn't use this one for that long. Maybe 1 season thats it.

  • I guess they switched themes maybe after season 1 or 2...Kinda like how Boy Meets World had like 8 different theme songs lol

  • Yeah, and the worst one was when they were all driving around in a red convertable while some whiny geek sang, "When this boy meets woooorrrrld."

  • when did the intro change?
