  • Oh yes it's good the cover song

  • realyl good, can you help me ? what is the first riff? ( the muted ) ? i have a bad ear :(

  • What if you did another awesome nile rodgers cover. This time Chic - I want your love ?

  • No guitar tabs on the net... Shit I must do it myself :(

  • Nice playing dude !

  • verry good job, have you tab this song ?

    it's a good cover , FUNK ever !!!

  • Ok ill check it out. I have made a new backing track which I will be sending out once I get some time. I have transcribed the Bass and on the Chord that you say Adim7. Is that possible if the Bass is playing an F#? From my knowledge of theory I always thought the Bass is the Root of every chord obviously other than rootless voicings.

IF you could upload your source of information and make it valid that would be great! I wouldn't mind getting the correct voicing for the strings as well.

  • @lewybrown How do i find the chords fro guitar

  • @lewybrown Bernard is definitely playing an F# as passing tone. If the chord is A dim7.. then he is playing the double flatted 7th. An A dim7 chord is voiced A ... C... Eb.. Gb.. which is enharmonic to F#. Classic Bernard...

  • @lewybrown If you're playing a full A dim 7 chord.. the F# is the 7th. But since it resolves to a G minor chord.. you can think of the A dim7 over F# as an inversion of a D7b9. Remember, Nile hardly ever plays full barre chords. So if the bass and keys are taking care of the bottom and the middle, he plays the upper partials of the chord. Think about it.D7b9 is D..F#..A..C.Eb. . A dim7 is A.. C...Eb..Gb Gb and F# are same note. Think of the chord as D7b9 over F#, resolving to Gmin

  • You're close but the chorus goes Cmin7-Dmin7- Adim7-Gmin7. Then play Cmin7-Dmin7- Gminor.

  • Great song......you play good...

  • awesome!! The only and the best cover of this great song! Where do you take the song base?

  • i like it at 0:40 when you swith style. Awesome!

  • @denis213 Actually, he didn't switch styles right there. He switched to playing the lead guitar riff of the song. But I do agree, Awesome!

  • Freaking awesome guitar work my friend. awesome! Hey, if its ok with you I'd love a copy of the backing track you're working with here. It'll give me something to work on...maybe perfect my style as you sir, have already done. Kudos dude! Keep em coming man. Not sure if you can send it via youtube but if not let me know and i'll send you my email. Thx

  • Dude - Great job!! That sounds awesome! You could literally sit in for Niles if he ever needed a replacement! Thanks for posting and sharing your guitar talents! Inspiring!

  • nice and smooth my friend. I see you are playing at the start a Gm7, Cm7 then Dm7 BUT at 0:09 you play another chord that replaces the Gm7, please tell us what it is?????

  • It's still a G - 7 chord, just a different voicing. R D string - 5th G string - b7 B string - b3 E string Does that make sense?

  • it certainly does m8, cheers..but the funky riff which uses Gm pentatonic with the bridge pickup is difficult as hell :(

  • Boongg - I can't agree with you anymore! :-)

  • That guitar riff is some bastard to play!

  • Great! Nile Rogers is the best rhythm guitarist that ever held a Strat in history.

  • Excellent !!

  • nice guitar work
