One of my fave Rush songs. Nobody can touch these guys. They are soooo tight it's not real. Just saw them last year on tour in the UK when they played all of Moving Pictures. Believe me they've still got it. An excellent concert with three musicians who are at the top of their game.
wasnt born in the 80's, but i still know that something about this group is very special, we can listen and imagin ourselves going back many years when things were simple and just. 3 guys that never had to "feature someone" or change their line up, and didnt do it for the money, i think i speak for everyone when i say RUSH.......KICKS......ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
im gonna get another rush album, ive got fly by night thats the only one i got...which one would anybody reccomend the most, im probably gonna end up gettin all of them, but which one would u reccomend
It was GREAT!!!! I was born in '60, in Beaumont, Texas, so in the 70's and 80's I saw just about everyone who came to Bmt., Houston, and Lake Charles, La. The first 4 times I saw Rush it was a big head show production themed after the album they were promoting, plus they still played the previous hits. Dry ice, costumes, lights etc. Fantastic! The last time I saw them was Lake Charles. They came out in street clothes, with white lights, and blew us all away! Rocked it to the MAX!FLAWLESS!Love em
their music is hot and so is geddy's hair ......drool :D god i love rush, i used to draw pictures of geddy and fantasize about him when i was a teenager :P im a young person :D Rush is true Rock, not like the crap nowadays. when i discovered their music, i would listen to them over and over again, i've never forgotten about them, older rock groups are far better than anything we have now and there will never be anything better, bar now, not in a million years
@PetChickenz Even if Rush is my favorite band, and I respect your opinion, theres a lot of really good music out there today. Some that Even Rush acknowledged as Awesome tunes.
@taz9889 dayum i'm so jealous....being in high school during that time must of been stellar.....i only get to see clips, hear stories and watch movies..........im so envious.....
@BrooklynBizznezz Ha ha, you got us there. Not only progressive bands, but the immediate explosion of bands like the Talking Heads, Blondie, Ramones, etc. Loved King Crimson too - Yes, Asia, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult - so cool to see young guys//gals loving this music.
That's LeStudio in Quebec, where Rush recorded a few of their best albums, including "Moving Pictures". A number of other performers recorded here as well. Unfortuantely, it has been abandoned and has fallen into disrepair over the years. Ironically, Neal Peart lives not too far from LeStudio. Check out the article on LeStudio on Wikipedia; it's very interesting.
I remember when I first heard this song. It was the summer of 86 at summer camp. Our bunk was in a van driving to a camping area and one of the campers or counselors played this tape. I'll never grow tired of this song.
i kid u not me and my friend were at the bus stop waiting and we were talking about our favorite band around the 80's and i brought up rush and she said "whats that?'' i back handed her and yelled at her!!!!!
@tobyturnerfan5000 I meet this arrogant prick at a school I went to he played guitar and thought he was an expert in music but when I asked him about Rush he had never heard of them .
I remember a friend of mine standing next to me he just burst out laughing.
Dope. The singer looks like a woman and he's wearing a unitard, but you gotta give the bastard credit. He is very talented. But i truly think the drummer makes Rush the legend it is.
@bombaboi21 him and geddy. the man does vocals, bass (and is probably the best bassist ever), keys, foot pedals. he truly makes the band by doing almost all the work
what i luv about this video is they all look like they're having so much fun. this is like my dream. i wanna get together a band & buy a recording studio in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. Rush rocks!
I love LeStudio. I looks so warm and conducive for making and recording great music. Particularly with the wintry backdrop. I've seen it in a couple videos, this, Tom Sawyer, and I think another band or two filmed themselves recording a song there and made it their video. They look like they're having a blast, and the positive energy comes out in the song. What a great tune from Rush.
@comedy677 It would be awesome if it was longer like La VIlla Strangiato.(: I've listened to this band since I was 3 years old and I'm now 16 I've seen them at least 8 times now and my 9th was most recent at Hershey! Neil Peart is my idol for my drumming and the whole band inspires my musical career. Meeting them all has inspired me to do many greater things with myself and my music career I could never thank these Guys enough for what they influenced me to do!

There is only one problem with Rush and that is that they're not American. If they had been an American band, the music would have been so much better - they would have been taught by the best and been 100 times better. They are the best thing to come out of Canada, but not absolutely nothing next to our stuff. I feel sorry for foreign bands for that reason.
Not a bad tune, but it definitely needs to be done by an American band.
an before you judge other bands like RUSH ... just give it a thought whether you know anything about music at all... OR that you listen to Beiber and Ga-Ga all day.

You my friend have no idea about what RUSH is --
Neil Peart - greatest living drummer alive ... most skilled veteran of our era .. only second to Jon Bonham.
Alex Lifeson - When Eddie Van Halen was asked who he thought was the greatest guitarist alive (read 1980s) he said "Ask Alex Lifeson" ....
Geddy Lee - Plays Bass and Keyboards (with feet/sequencers/patches etc) AND sings! an inspiration for so many awesome bassists of this day!!
