@Mitajitshu Eh, I thought Hyper Drive was a decent song. Better than all the other songs on the poll, and it was definitely one of their better openings. IMO, there best so far have been the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, Shaman King, Sonic X, Kirby, and this.
Like I said in the description, I made this because I was angry at the sloppy editing of the first opening to the 5D's dub. So many amateur mistakes. They've done better in the past, so this had no excuse.
@SuperPuzzler and you're right about the song, I don't get why ppl always prefer the japanese versions, I also love the japanese versions but still, when there's an english version I'll watch that until there are no more dubbed episodes left.

@Mitajitshu I've seen every opening of the Japanese version of 5D's to date, actually. My favorite thus far is obviously the current one, Believe in Nexus, but I think that Freedom deserves more praise than it actually gets. A lot of that opening was really good.
@Mitajitshu Saw it recently. It has now topped "Believe in Nexus" and is, in my opinion, the most epic opening to date. The new ending, Future Colors, is also really great, and has definitely won out over Close to You and Cross Game.

I don't know what channel you're talking about, but I doubt what you saw was exactly the same as this. Also, the black around it is from the movie being letterboxed- that is, it's in widescreen format. If you ever see that other video again, then let me know. I'm interested in seeing it myself, though it's likely that what you saw was just something similar to this one.

This is very wierd, my video from June is almost exactly the same as this, I used the same scenes but with slightly different timings, which i had fixed with my reupload yesterday....
This is just a very hard song to work with in the way that there's not many scenes to work with that actually fit in with the rythm and lyrics, so even though I'm surprised to see two very similar MVs, it doesn't shock me that it was this combo that it happened with.

The fact that the beginning and end of the video are both cut off instead of using the full length of the song is ALSO suspicious The beginning is cut just after the fade in from white in mine, and the end is cut before the fade out to black. The video is jumpy and the quality isn't great. There are also thin black lines at the top and bottom of the video.

and as i've said before i made my video over two years ago and my video was also in widescreen but it didnt letterbox like yours, which is what happens when hypercam is used with youtube. The only thing that makes your video different from mine is your intro and outro text.
and if i have the song on a memory stick then why would i need to look it up on youtube?

Also, your friend obl173r470r said you uploaded the video in June. 5D's didn't start broadcasting until September, three full months later. Everything I pointed out about your video still stands. Where mine has intro and outro text, yours is cut off just after/before the fade-in/fade-out respectively. Explain that.
Ok, 5ds wasn't aired before september 2008 BUT hyperdrive was announced as the winning song at the start of June and was available for a torrent soon after.
The thing with torrents: songs that have not been officially released will be recorded and will probably not be perfect condition.
And as for the jumpiness, mine was recorded from a PVR, they dont give 100 frames a second, they give about 40. and youtube usually only uses 3/4 of the frames so that the file size is smaller.

That's another hole in your defense, and you still have yet to explain why your video is cut off at the beginning and end at the exact time that would be needed to miss the fade in and out respectively.
Because you added the fade's in but I didn't. And I'm not so sure what it is with your ears but in your video some of the song is played in the intro, in my video the song starts straight from the beggining of the actual recording. So to move the song back a bit is not too hard for someone who can make the other videos you have done.

The very beginning of the song isn't a random guitar note that sounds weird, it's the sound of a cymbal, and then some guitar that doesn't sound like it was cut off halfway through the note. You joined in May of this year, and your friend didn't join until July of last year. He said he saw this in June 08, when the show didn't air until September.
To tell you the truth, I've lost interest in your attempts to make my comments seem false, your just repeating the same thing over and over again.
And what you're mentoining could mean that you recorded my old video on my OLD channel, and then all you had to do was use a better sound file, the intro was put in there so that the timings didn't screw up, and the outro was to fit the rest of the song.

@yahoo6692 Not necessarily, Yahoo. It's more like Robin Hood, or Hinduism's caste system. The people in Neo Domino City can all make a decent living, and crime is virtually nonexistent. The people in the Satellite, however, or poor as the dirt they sleep on. It doesn't help that most of the City Slickers look at Satellite residents as trash. It's really a Rich-vs.-Poor scenario, and while that hasn't been done before, it was not done in FF7.

@honnyikillthekids I'd honestly have to disagree. The major problem with a lot of fanmade music videos is that they try to match the lyrics and completely ignore the music itself. Timing is very important, and sometimes the littlest movements in the video can be in synch with the music. My Citizen/Soldier video is a good example of that.

Wow, the clips are pretty similar to that of the opening and matches well! I always did see similarities between Cloud and Yusei and even the anime with the game XD
I also love this song a lot and you did a fantastic job on the vid. I though it was perfect. My favorite part was in 1:05 to 1:08 where Cloud is putting his two swords together.

Unfortunately, no. This song was created exclusively for the 5D's anime. That's why the only difference between the version you see on TV and the full version is a short guitar riff between the chorus and the second verse. Adds all of ten seconds to it.
Amazing song to a crappy anime imo. Yugioh on BIKES? Just a no no. I preferred the first few seasons of Yugioh but not this new stuff. Nice job on the video too btw. Perfect syncing with the scenes and the song :D
As a fan of this anime (Japanese version), I have to say that the bikes are more or less a gimmick and are unnecessary. However, in later episodes they have turned off the autopilot, meaning they have to pay attention to the road AND the duel field. I'd like to see you play a card game while on a motorcycle.
See now if they went straight for the playing while riding without autopilot and out on open roads, that would automatically hook me in. But I just can't get past the first few episodes. Maybe i'll skip onto the later episodes.
Early episodes don't turn the autopilot off because it simply wasn't necessary. Crow thought of it after he realized that the only way to survive a direct attack from an Earthbound Immortal would be if he could actually steer his D-Wheel. Up until then, they were only dealing with holograms, not actual monsters.
Sounds like things get a lot more interesting later. I think i'll watch the series when I get the chance. Thanks for the info :D But I think GX will still be my favorite season.

In any case, 5D's really emphasizes "rich vs. poor" theme, magnifying it with the separation of Satellite from the mainland. There's also the reoccurring themes of betrayal, manipulation, blackmail, etc. It's pretty dark for Yu-Gi-Oh! and only gets darker once its revealed just how Jack managed to become King.
Oh, and it's best to start at the beginning so things'll make sense. You won't want to miss anything.
Unfortunately, this IS the full version. The short version used for the actual opening of the show has that short instrumental between the first chorus and the third verse cut out.
I thought I just clarified that it was a modded one, not the original. Also you can already find it on youtube since that's where I ripped it from in the first place.

You weren't a jerk, you were protective and thorough, at some stages I wondered how to make the arguement longer to get more out of you.
Also, any ways I can actually improve upon my "interegation", had too many close calls with you, and I know that if I screw this up too badly then it'll be the end of my channel.

@1Fatalen Best advice I can give you is "research is your best friend." It helps to know as much as you can, but in your case, your strength may have to be to simply appear that you know more, even if you don't. But it never hurts to do your homework anyway.

I kinda trained myself to avoid twisting the facts and to apologize when I misunderstand something, but that's left me with the weakness of being unable to qualify for a national debate team; Tactic Number 1: Make your opinion sound like the truth.

The person i was argueing with was a little too good, kind of took a while to convince him it was a test though, until I told him every little detail.
I try to give people advice, but when they give up after two comments is when i know that they need to pick it up on their own.
If you ever do get into a real arguement like this, tell me, i would love to see how well concrete facts work.

@yahoo6692 Not necessarily, Yahoo. It's more like Robin Hood, or Hinduism's caste system. The people in Neo Domino City can all make a decent living, and crime is virtually nonexistent. The people in the Satellite, however, or poor as the dirt they sleep on. It doesn't help that most of the City Slickers look at Satellite residents as trash. It's really a Rich-vs.-Poor scenario, and while that hasn't been done before, it was not done in FF7.

@honnyikillthekids I'd honestly have to disagree. The major problem with a lot of fanmade music videos is that they try to match the lyrics and completely ignore the music itself. Timing is very important, and sometimes the littlest movements in the video can be in synch with the music. My Citizen/Soldier video is a good example of that.

Unfortunately, no. This song was created exclusively for the 5D's anime. That's why the only difference between the version you see on TV and the full version is a short guitar riff between the chorus and the second verse. Adds all of ten seconds to it.

Amazing song to a crappy anime imo. Yugioh on BIKES? Just a no no. I preferred the first few seasons of Yugioh but not this new stuff. Nice job on the video too btw. Perfect syncing with the scenes and the song :D

As a fan of this anime (Japanese version), I have to say that the bikes are more or less a gimmick and are unnecessary. However, in later episodes they have turned off the autopilot, meaning they have to pay attention to the road AND the duel field. I'd like to see you play a card game while on a motorcycle.

See now if they went straight for the playing while riding without autopilot and out on open roads, that would automatically hook me in. But I just can't get past the first few episodes. Maybe i'll skip onto the later episodes.

Early episodes don't turn the autopilot off because it simply wasn't necessary. Crow thought of it after he realized that the only way to survive a direct attack from an Earthbound Immortal would be if he could actually steer his D-Wheel. Up until then, they were only dealing with holograms, not actual monsters.

GX? Really? Unless you're talking about season 4, I hope you're trolling.
In any case, 5D's really emphasizes "rich vs. poor" theme, magnifying it with the separation of Satellite from the mainland. There's also the reoccurring themes of betrayal, manipulation, blackmail, etc. It's pretty dark for Yu-Gi-Oh! and only gets darker once its revealed just how Jack managed to become King.
Oh, and it's best to start at the beginning so things'll make sense. You won't want to miss anything.
