Look at the wrist movement on the guy onboard the DUCATI 1198 CORSE he let go of the throttle first before the guy on the BMW S1000RR let of his throttle. The DUCATI 1198 CORSE almost passed the BMW S1000RR. Analyzing the video at first you would think the BMW had more power Lol(",) love the video dude! Personal preference guys(",) me? I love my DUCATI 1198 period.
ducati is my favourite manufacturer, i dont own a bike myself as i'm only 16 but one day i want one of these race cpec ducati's i just like the sounds of the engine
@VRvale46 are you stalking me? xD and i know he admitted it i just hope he's gone to stoner without the camera's if you understand my thinking? its more of a 'personal' apology if ya get me?
@VRvale46 it will be rossi/hayden dominance, in the two 990 seasons rosi got 1st and 2nd, hayden got 3rd and 1st, could you ask for a better 1000cc team? i dont think so
ducati is the fastest among the 1000cc superbike especially 1198r the racing spec cuz i own one 1198r hit the top speed of 320 kmh which is 200mph even this 1198s is faster among the 1000cc but not the racing spec, i know this because my brother own one s1000rr 2010 model the top speed is 306kmh which is 190 mph, but the overall performance is dont know. but i feel ducati is better handling compare to all the 1000cc bikes cuz is very light my 1198r is only 165kg is the lightest among all the sbk
@Internettroll1 yep. some people are content to drive along at 70 mph down the freeway whilst others like the exhilerating feel of doing 200mph on a track. everyone is different. Just have fun and stay safe!
I own an 1198S and have ridden a friends S1000RR, we swapped for a ride. He now wants to get a Duc and I wasnt that impressed with the BMW, I felt really detached from riding it. There wasnt much of a -noticeable- power difference either, I have termi cans and chip which probably takes it up closer to the BMW anyway. What I did notice was the difference it torque, my Duc just pulls much harder and any rev range. We've both been on a track at the same time and I cane him on his bike everytime..
@PDFulwood Everyone can like whatever they want but....many magazines have put together professional riders with them changing bikes including the best Ducati has and the BMW has come out the winner even by PROFESSIONAL RIDERS that weren't inclined to choose it over their own personal favorite. Your own experience is interesting for you.but I'd have to give MUCH more credibility to a dozen professionals in a controled ride off. You know some harley riders swear their bikes handle canyons well.
@didierrL01 You weren't paying attention... cause it is obvious that the duc was pegged when the BMW gave his bike some fuel, the front end almost comes up and leaves the duc behind easily. Don't get your panties in a twist, Horsepower is horsepower. I like ducatis too but the S1000rr Beemer is way faster. The desmo would have a better chance than this 1198S ...I only hope that The Duc factory can give Rossi something to win with and get the championship back (where it belongs).
WOAH! The BMW way just crusin at the end and then he saw the duc pegged out and coming up on him in his mirror and gave the Beemer throttle a blip and left the duc standing still!!! WTF! That s1000rr must be incredible.
@camcoop25 That was the BMW that the Ducati caught up to and as you can see he starts to pull away then he lets off of the throttle as they cross the finish line. He would've dusted the Duc if he didn't let off.
Ah yes, after multiple reviewings, I see the light stand corrected. The Duc rider's wrist doesn't increase his throttle (I think he might be already pegged) and the BMW dude does back off his throttle, creating the illusion that the Duc is accelerating.
That BMW must be a hell of a fast bike because the 1198 isn't known for being pokey.
@camcoop25 There is a CBR 1000RR owner on Youtube who goes by the name of "da1000rrstunna" who rides with someone who has the BMW and they have made some really good videos, and really show the power of the BMW, and there is even a video of it beating a Hayabusa. So until the new ZX-10R knocks it of its perch, it is the king of speed. The Duc is much prettier though.
Much prettier, but they are more than show ponies. Have you ridden one? Many find themselves deriding Japanese bikes afterwards and becoming "Ducatisti". And though the BMW did show the potential to clean the Duc's clock in a straight line, the Duc had caught up on him from behind by a long way. This may have been due to the BMW taking it easy on that lap, or just not being as good a rider, but no question the Ducs outcorner almost anything. Look at their track victories.
@camcoop25 No I've never rode one. I would like to but I would never buy one though. They are too delicate and couldnt stand up to the abuse that a Japanese bike could. Just like a Ferrari not being able to stand up to the abuse that a Corvette could without having to go back to the dealer everytime you drove it. I ride a GSXR 750. The BMW was finished its turn in the rotation which is why it was slowing down. The Duc has an edge in the corners but when the road straightens out it will get left.

@PLA17EN
Me to, 1000 = Rossi, Hayden dominance !
I like Nikcy to, but he lacks some consistance :s
Edwards is also one of my favorites, he's funny as hell!
I don't know the potential of Alvaro as I haven't seen him on a proper bike yet, but who knows right?
I realy hope we'll see some proper slides again!
