  • and here I thought there was only one...>.<;;;

  • to cute ^^

  • dum ferrets

  • LOL cool ;-)

  • radere la mia donnola!

  • turtle shack

  • In order to prevent this from happening again, you need to cage the ferrets instead of boxing them. The cage opening should be on the top. Pull out the ferrets as needed for skinning and if you want a less gamey taste, you need to soak the meat in milk over night before marinading and cooking.

  • @dadoody LOL!!

  • When the third one came, i was thinking: "holy shit, a two-headed ferret", and then they just split. ):

  • Aww and for one second there I thought you had a two-headed ferret....tee heehee!! x

  • MATING SEASON

  • ahahaha

  • there was like 4 in there mg

  • lol

  • Wow!

  • @StrawberryHarmony

as long as you check the sources Wikipedia used in the article, Wikipedia can be a viable source.

  • lol

  • WOW!

  • LittleMissHerpes is an awesome name though.

  • mint

  • how adorable!! :3

  • Wow..... LittleMissHerpes thats just sad u have no life so your just going to kill animals? ur just fucking pathetic

  • dont feed the troll, people ususally just say idiotic things to wind people up. why else would someone put that? ferrets are ace.

  • LittleMissHerpes: All I see is a little whore craving attention. Go to a street corner, and maybe someone will...

  • very funny video

  • i HAVE ONE TIP FOR YOU WHEN U BUY A FERRET . Look at the way it walks ive had 5 ferrets and only been owning for 4 years . Now my first ferret gracie had a unbalanced walk (like teetering) she died of paralyzation at the age of 3. Meh second ferret Mitch had a wobly walk died of cancer at the age of 2 . Meh 3rd ferret ralphy has a wobly walk and he has adrenal disease (wich will turn fatal the vet say). my other 2 ferrets have normal walks and both are happy and healthy (rudolpho and milo)

  • Adrenal can be treated and the ferret can lead a relatively full life.

  • Look for a vet that's good with exotics and knows about ferrets. Most vet schools only have a few short classes on them so most vets don't know a lot about them. Adrenal disease can be trreated with melatonin or you can have their adrenal gland removed in surgery. Find a new vet...

  • @meerkatsandferrets I was actually going to name my ferret rudolpho but decided on Bonzo

  • lol i only have 2 ferrets buddy the boy and bonnie the girl they just turned 1 a few days ago

  • xD; Epic!

  • Did you train them to do that or did they do it all by themselves?

  • they hauled ass outta their like "OMFG LU FARTED GET OUT GET OUT THERES NO OXYGEN AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • thats cute :)

  • cooooool!

  • lolz

  • thems a lot o ferrets

  • Ferrets == cute! ^^

  • omg so meny ferrets lol

  • that is soooooo adorable <3

  • i love ferrets!!! but i have 4 questions... my parents won't let me get a ferret b/c they think they smell... are they that bad? is cleaning their cage an everyday job? and other than the cost of the ferrt(s) themselves, are they expensive? and last, if i got a ferret would it need another one to keep it company?

  • i have a ferret and as long as you keep up with them you really shouldnt have to clean the cage everyday, but they can stink after a while.i bought my ferret for 100 dollars.but no you dont have to but another ferret to keep it company if you dont want to but if you dont then you have to make sure your ferret doesnt get bored and you should play with it and let it out at least an hour to two hours a day

  • thanks that helped a lot

  • I have one question for you... well maybe a couple, but they sort of tie in. Where do you live? Before getting a ferret, find out which farm it is from. If it's Marshall's be aware that it may have medical problems sooner than later. Of the 16 ferrets we have now 4 are Marshall's... 3 of them have medical issues. We had a 5th, but last November she died of cancer that spread so quick we didn't get a chance to fight it. Also, look into adopting an older ferret from a shelter.

  • oh my not a very good farm eh? and i'm from connecticut

  • No, not really. Any ferrets that are returned to them because they could not be sold are destroyed. Use wikipedia to find out a little more of what they do.

  • DESTROYED???

  • Euthanized.

  • oh phew

  • what?

  • @9Ferrets Wikipedia is never a good source

  • I didn't use just wikipedia. I know it's not always a good source. But last I read the entry about Marshall Farms there it was relatively accurate.

  • @StrawberryHarmony Sure it is a good source, just check the sources of the source ;)

  • hahahaha

  • lmfao that was awesome

  • OH MY FRIKKIN GOD!THAT ROCKS!

  • so cute

  • LOL great! xD

  • that was...AWESOME!

  • all of your ferrets are cute i only have 2.

  • NO WAY!!!!!!! That is too funny! I want to live at YOUR house! Lol... :)

  • That was pretty much the most awesome ferret video I've ever seen.

  • ajjajaja

  • hahahahahahhahaha XD dude that's hilarious!!!

yeah Marshall isn't great, but it was the only place I could get some.

They're healthy, but I'm still really worried about them getting technical difficulties...

  • I probably would have had a few ferrets if it was legal to own them where I'm from. They were probably found to be a threat to native wildlife and the state government was concerned about them escaping people's houses.

  • Guessing you're in California. Yeah... threat to wildlife... friggin idiots. Wish they would do some research.

  • I'm from Queensland in Australia and for some reason it's illegal to keep ferrets as pets where I'm from. Who are you calling an idiot? Me or Californians?

  • The Californian law makers are the idiots as are obviously the ones in Queensland Australia since they seem to have the same ungrounded fear of ferrets escaping and being a threat to native wildlife.

  • how many do you have?

  • My standard response when asked that these days is "many many". We may be getting two more, adopting from someone that cannot keep them any more.

  • hahahahaha wtfffff hhahaha

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA thats hilarious

  • Hahaha cute ;]

  • How many ferrets can fit into a cardboard box? Problem solved! Sweet vid!

  • that was top of the range

  • I am so getting a ferret in 2 days!

  • Did you get the ferret yet?

  • A never ending supply of ferrets!

    Sweet video.

  • Perfect

  • OW MY GOD THAT WAS SOO cool!

  • lol, how cute

  • Wow Shoney and Nakk sure got big haha

  • awe, I want to get another one for my ferret George to have as company.. I adopted him at 3 y/o and he loves our kitten Isabella! In Canada ferrets are about $250

  • I live in Toronto. The ferrets here range from $170 to $250. Have you considered adopting?

  • How much are ferrets in America?

In the UK they are £10 which is about $20. I got my last one for £5 - $10

Dirt cheap and they are kits 9babies) do not buy adults and not from petshops either.

  • I'd love to get a UK ferret. They're bigger and live longer.

Here, they range from $99 to $250. Most of ours we bought in the $150 - $170 range. They come descented and spayed/neutered. But at 6 - 8 weeks of age, that's way too young for that I think.

  • Its done a lot differently there then. The reason why ours are bigger is because we do not neuter them until they are full grown size. Having their nobbly bits cut off stumps their growth. Its up to the owner if they want it done. None of mine have been. Vets here also do not descent as they its unnecesary. So ours must pong a bit more than American ones. I have a few videos of my ferrets. They are more beefy. Look at my vids.

  • Do you find you have any problems with aggression from unneutered ferrets?

Do they really scentmark with 'slime'?

  • never a problem. I had one boy called Elmo, he was my gentle giant. so lovely and affectionate. Ive never experienced this slime, nor scent marking. They can pong which is why its recommended they live outside. But if kept in clean house then the smell isnt bad. The smell doesnt bother me. They grow a lot bigger unsnipped. My albino boy is massive.

  • I thoguht te slime thing was weird. I was told that they scentmark with it.

I hear a lot negative opinions about unneutered pets. Which I think mostly comes from the 'spay and nueter' campaign. I personally prefer not to spay/nueter my pets unless it's a health concern or as a last resort behavioral problem. Even then it can probably be fixed with some proper training. I think they should be left as they were created as possible.

  • Very right. I dont tamper with them. But saying that 3 of my boys who are about 3 years old are going to have the snip. They do not like my new ferret Rufus, well one in particular doesnt so they are away from him atm.Never had a prob until then.End of Jan is the end of their manhood hehe.

  • Well that is rather unfortunate. But at least it's not being done for the hell of it.

  • Well the 3 boys are brothers, never had a problem with them. They get on all together except for this one boy, Rufus. Its really only one boy who is the bully but I thought I best do the 3 to even it out so noo higher dominance.

  • Yeah, that makes sense.

I hope it all works out well. It'll be quite a few years before I'm able to move acquire my own ferret(s) but it'll be worth the wait.

  • One of my dreams is, that if I ever win one of the multi-million dollar jackpots over here I will go over to England and talk to a bunch of breeders and bring some breeding stock back to Canada and start up a new 'line'. I've also been told that ferrets in the UK are not as prone to adrenal problems, is that true?

  • haha, that was great. :)

I'm not sure that the ones available here (Canada) differ from the ones available in UK, in regards to adrenal problems. I believe it has to do with the bloodline, not necessarily location.

  • Oh I agree. It does have to do with bloodline. The British bloodlines aren't as inbred as the ones in North America.

  • hey 9Ferrets if u wanna stop adrenal i think u give them sun light if u keep them in the dark they get adrenal 2 of our ferrets has it or it can be cancer i lost a ferret cause of cancer

  • Our ferrets live in the sun room. Sunlight or the lack of does not cause adrenal.

  • There actually has been research done to suggest that there IS a correlation between amount of light and adrenal disease. They say ferrets should have at least 8 hours a day in complete darkness.

  • canadian ferrets tend to develop health problems because the main supplier, Marshall, de-scents and neuters them too early.

  • @9Ferrets We do not have issues with adrenal here in the UK and yes our ferrets do grow much larger than ferrets in the USA! My boys weigh in at nearly 5lbs and they were not neitered until the had passed their 1st mating season. Monsta had to be neutered as he got quite aggresive and smelled a lot - an un-neutered male can be quite whiffy! We do not de-scent here in the UK as the scent glands have absolutely nothing to do with a ferrets general odour. Vets in the UK refuse to de-scent thank god

  • @bagpuss170363 Thank you for confirming a lot of things I suspected and had heard about. Did not know about UK vets refusing to de-scent. We have one girl who is not de-scented and she doesn't 'stink' much more than the rest. However, she is easy to find when she gets upset with something... or someone. Just follow your nose.

  • Can you not buy them from private sellers with all their bits intact? I think its weird that they do that. It should be up to the owner really but it stops unwanted babies, although they are not easy to breed, have to be done at certain times so there is not really an accidental litter. Unless someone really leaves the girl in to suffer at the hands of the horny ferret.

  • if a female ferret goes into heat and isnt bred then she dies, so fixing them all prevents that and personally I think breeding ferrets should be left to professionals, see what happened with cats and dogs with it left to them? strays, there are plenty of ferrets out there, they dont need to be bred.

  • If your ferret isn't fixed early, and is fed a raw or very high quality diet, it will have the characteristics if the European animals. the flater, wide face, the large size, etc. Especially the males.

  • there are 4 ferrets

  • they're $99.99 at my petco. and they are fully grown. i want a baby one.

  • Whereabouts do you live?

  • san antonio texas

  • ahh! i want a ferret or 2 cause i know they need to play ( maby play with the cat) but my mom wont let me casue she says they smell alot...

  • I have one, and yes - They smell A LOT

  • I don't find that they smell too badly. Cat litter boxes smell worse. Most ferrets that are sold in stores are descented. You can also cut down on their smell by feeding them a proper diet and by, ironically, not over-bathing them.

  • They sell dry shampoo for just that reason. Wet Ferret is not one of the world's most pleasant smells!

  • I feel your pain...

It's the same thing for me...

    Sigh...

    I want a Ferret...

  • I wish we could keep them where I live, but I don't think they're legal. I hear that they are extremely intelligent, lovable critters, though.

  • Very. The intelligence varies (as with anyone) but they can get themselves into all sorts of mischief. We, as a human race, are lucky ferrets don't have opposable thumbs. :)

    I'm guessing you're in California.

  • Good guess.:-) We're the only state that doesn't allow them? Really? How sad.

  • My wife once told me, "Whoever said that curiosity killed the cat, never met a ferret".

  • so cute, I miss mine :(

  • so cute,

  • ~* FARTZ *~

  • The ferrets are so fun~!!

  • how many ferrits were there anyway?

    sooooooo funny!

  • Four. In order of appearance they are; Shoney, Nakk, Winchell and Lu.

  • The next universal question to ask would be: How many ferrets it takes to fill the Albert Hall?

  • teehee.

  • ferrets FTW!!

  • lovely and fun too

  • Absolutlely lovable!!! :-)

  • Those are cute ferrets. Are they difficult to look after?

  • THAT is so cute!

  • Ferrets are awesome, and clean too! They will pile their waste in a corner, Unlike some animals :D

  • Ferret's are Awesome!
