@AriesGoddess93 because fall out boy played more aggressive music which required that he sing more aggressively. he most likely also sang more frequently and for longer which is taxing on a voice.
@mikeokubo Yeah, same thing for Hayley Williams from Paramore. She also has a kind of soulful sound to her voice and sounds amazing during ballads or more pop-ish songs, but doing rockish ones seems a little harmful for her each time.
@memocle Pete Wentz is with the Black Cards, Andy and Joe are with The Damned Things....If you want their old stuff, buy their old albums! Which are awesome, I love fallout boy myself! But for now try not to whine and enjoy their separate musical projects :) support fallout boy that way!

@memocle C'mon... people saying this kind of thing annoys me, so much. I miss Fall Out Boy too.. but I don't dwell on that fact. Enjoy the music they're doing right now. Instead of just one bad, there's 3 putting out all new music. They're following the music they actually like. Fall Out Boy was a "happy accident" and they enjoy making that music. But the music the boys are putting out now is what they wanted from the start. They don't want to change FOB, so they're made differnt bands

You can't say they were holding him back because he has a soulful voice. He couldn't completely take advantage of it in that band. Sure he did get to show it off some in the band, but completely ? No. Patrick chooses to be a part of Fall Out Boy, Therefor Patrick was holding Patrick back.

@memocle They're busy not being as awesome as Patrick on his own. I love Fall Out Boy, but what he's doing now surpasses it in so many different ways. Patrick was always the driving talent behind that band, and now that he doesn't have the title of Fall Out Boy holding him back, he's ascended to an entirely different level.
He's obviously way happier and more confident now.
