Sure, it's similar to Robotron, but I hesitate to call it a "rip off". Adventure mode has actual levels that hook into each other, some areas are multiple screens, there's different weapon types and you can destroy the obstacles in each area which really can mix things up a bit.

I don't think it should be so easily dismissed. It's quite fun even at this stage.

While the fact that the world is destructible is exciting, it seems a bit TOO destructible for my tastes. It seems that even if you don't mean to you could very easily blast a hole in a wall that you might not want to bring down yet.

The graphics are absolutely STUNNING, but you know, the purely jet-black black background isn't very easy on the eyes. It'd be awesome if you could allow for a shade of gray, or maybe even a black-to-light_gray gradient fill.

This can't be real, Notch said himself on his blog that voxels were a scam and urged people not to donate their research and development.

And he obviously knows what he's talking about, I mean look at the graphics on HIS game.

@DwarfioHax Voxels are typically extremely taxing on systems running a lot of them. This game appears to have limited the view of the playable area in order to combat that, and also eliminated complex textures. I think Notch was referring to whole areas the size of Minecraft being playable, the tech just isn't there yet.

Awesome. We had a project for a similar game, once, as an academic exercise on computer graphics topics. It was a first-person shooter with a Megaman theme. Blastable scenarios and enemies with missing parts running around and such. I tried to respond this video with a link, but I'm not sure it went through.
