i wish i could do more moves. in a jr at an afjrotc. im the armed commander and an award winning soloist and also tandum. but no one in my corp knows more than i do so i cant learn from anybody. so i go here to learn new moves. but its a lil hard with my m1. if anyone knows a good vid for good moves plz tell me. thx
look up DevilDogSmith on here....we are part of salem high school.....every move we do we have done and can do with M1's....we have Springfields but they are maybe a pound lighter....but we spin with M1''s all the time
yeah i wish it was jus as easy to do these w/ my m1 an i couldnt make it spin right, if anybody knows of any drill videos with the m1 please send me a link
Hey i am samantha i am in north pole alaska and we have a Jrotc drill team here i am on our 3 team unarmed, armed and color gurad team the competes we use M1Gands and they are almost as big as me so i really don't think i could spin on but i like to videos theya re really cool i am put and unarmed expetition ruten together here not a armed one
haha you mean M1 Garand :] Yeah, I'm the Color Guard Commander of my school in San Jose, California. But, our Color Guard does not always use M1s, we also use Springfields to do sling arms during regulation competitons.
But anyways, we never use our M1s to spin b/c theyre wooden relics and we dont want to risk them breaking. Our drill team only spins with springfields and one they do regulation drill, they use M1s.
We are AF, We have color guard rifles and armed regulation rifles but they are all M1's, I am on the 3 team we have at our school and i am the left rifle for color guard, center front for regulation armed and unarmed. I will be our color guard commender next year.
Will you? (this is TheMercspectre; i have two different accounts) anyways, I became commander as a Let3/Junior and am now a 1lt. This year, we had our formal inspection. My Color Guard received a perfect score :] and our battalion received the gold star.
So, your battalion only has 3 teams? Drill team w/ and w/o and Color guard? We have 7 teams; you should attempt to get these teams added to your battalion: Raider team, Honor Guard, Drum Corps, and Marksmanship.
yeah we have the 3 teams on our drill team, we have a recondo team and stuff but we don't start that up untill 4 quarter bc of the snow we get here and everyone on the team is on drill team, We are callfights too no battalion and our honor guard is our color guard team. I am 1st lt. and i should be a cpt. and i am a 3rd year cadet.our first drill meet we got 1st in unarmed 3rd in armed and we had the last 3 standing for tap out and we got to marine interior cup,
we just had one last weekend and the judges were bad they docked off points because out male cadet on the color guard have a male coat on and not a female, our enlisted not have insiges on their when they don't have one, us not all being the same height, and more, we got to state next weekend we should come home with alot of trophies becuase we work our butts off to be as good as we are.
im only an airman first class, but im on the ex team as we call it down here in bama. im pretty good but still learning...alot. this vidoe was an amazing help, cant wait for part 3
Awesome video, wish upstate NY had JROTC, I wouldn't have had to wait until I moved to VA for Drill. The song is awesome, what's the name of it? And as for the cops getting called, I don't see the big deal, your'e throwing the rifle around not pointing it at people and acting like it has live rounds. I lived near a Navy base in upstate NY and everyone was used to seeing all kinds of military things.
everything he just did is not that complicated if you take a good look at it. the only difference is is your gunna use an m14 you need to make shure that when you do any of the scorpions you watch your head, because the barrel is longer and you probably wont know how high to throw it. other than that, just watch your balance, and be shure to tape down your sling
Good stuff! Hey question, have you had the police called on yo ass yet? if you do throw a triple right as they are about to tackle/interogate/stop/shoot you and they will generally stop, lol.
Yeah, 4 times. It's to the point now where they know me, so they come by, and bullshit with me for a bit; it's sort of like a coffee/cigarette break for them.
I liked the move where you twist it around your arm. But I wanted to know how much ur rifle weighs. Our drill team uses M-1 rifles that were used in WWII, which are about 10.2 pounds. I only ask because some moves might be worth learning, but at the same time if ur using a 3 pound rifle some moves would honestly be impossible to do with an M-1.
Very nice performance either way. I wonder what your neighbors think when you do that! :)
It is a vintage 9 pound 1903, how do you think I got the bayonet on it for my other vids. And in response to the weight thing, it does not matter how much it weighs, I can do my entire trick vocabulary with fully weighted M-1's and M-14's, and before you ask yes I have used those rifles and tried.
oh, interesting. I'm a colorguard person (I dunno about ur unit, but in mine, Colorguard is thought to be a bunch of lazy girls, and DT is the hardcore macho team) So its just present and left shoulder for me ^-^
why is the first called fishstick? lol
