@bloodlily81 I think what I liked about the original version is that you didn't have to have everything explained - you could see that the guy was devoted to the girl. The original was subtle in some ways. (For example with the rose/piano scene - the audience didn't necessarily need to know from his narration that he was completely devoted to her. It was already expressed through his actions.) Still, I like that this movie tried to stay true to some scenes from the original, though!
I've seen both movies, and it is definitely not a culture thing since I am not Korean, but the original is way, way better. The American version was an ok movie. The Korean movie was really good.
