  • You have helped so much thanks!!!!

  • Wtf do i do i dont have the texture pack folder i downloaded quandary and everything!

  • OMG thanks

  • Works in 1.1

  • that was... easy..... work perfectly for me! :D

  • For everyone trying to find your minecraft folder and easier way is to click on the "Go" button like he said in the video but instead of searching just hold down "option" on your keyboard and library will pop up from there click on it and navigate Application Support/minecraft this i believe is only for Mac OS Lion but this i believe is shorter and easier to understand

  • i downloaded minecraft off of the minecraft site and used my friends spare acc as a bday present. i dont have the folder. all i have for mc is the application. what do i do?

  • @UndecidedPeach7 Well my friend. You need to watch the video and follow the instructions.

Use Go, Go To Folder. Then type ~/Library and then browse to Application Support and then minecraft - then you will see the texture pack folder is there.

  • @michaelroseagain I dont have a minecraft folder, I redownladed minecraft twice but i still don thave a minecraft folder ?

  • @michaelroseagain And i did everything you said

  • @michaelroseagain

    it shows painterly.zip in grey?

  • @aborox99 Go to your trash, get the download from there. Add that to your folder, should work just fine.

  • thnx so much ur r zoo helpful

  • Great video, didn't realize you compressed the files, not the entire folder. Very informative and straight to the point.

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • thank you soooo much this really helped

  • library*

  • what if the libery couldnt be found?

  • @racoonproductions1 you have to do /Users/ *your username on your mac*

  • @racoonproductions1 yes. @GuitarManTayana is right, we are looking for a folder on our Mac, it has nothing to do with our Minecraft username. It's our Mac username.

Easiest way is to use Go, Go To Folder, and type ~/Library and browse from there.

~/ is a shortcut for your username.

  • thanks a lot

  • i cant find the folder! plz help @michaelroseagain

  • thanks, it worked for me

  • There's no 'users' folder on my Mac. When I type the /users/glow/library/application support/minecraft it says it cannot be found. I've tried finding it for myself but I can't find it! D: Help please?

  • ty much

  • i cant find the folder when i go to go to folder

  • It worked! Thanks a lot!

  • what username do you put in finder

  • @SwagVideos32 your Mac user name. See my video, 'Finding your folder'.

  • If I installed a texture pack and some items do not appear is there something wrong. For example I installed Quandry Summer pack, and items like Nether Brick, nether fence or Nether Stairs are blank?

  • @TarHeels4life1495 Everytime they add something new to the game the texture pack maker needs to add his/her own update to the texture pack. Some texture pack makers let you know which versions it is for. Some don't bother. Some are lazy. Some are just old and no longer supported. Until Mojang creates a better system, this is the way it is.

  • O.o o.O My...My Minecraft... ITS ONLY WHITE AND GREEN :(

  • love you, just...love you

  • do you need modloader, modloaderMP and audiomod to do this right?

  • I LOVE YOU MAN THANK YOU SO MUCH YOUR THE BEST REMEMBER THAT

  • @michaelroseagain No I'm not I am going to the same exact place I was told to go... Library Application Support and there was only a few files there not including the mine craft file.

  • @BBgunX22 Well... there are three Library folders. In Finder use the 'Go' menu, choose 'Go To Folder' and type ~/Library/

  • this didnt work for me... it wont et me click the texture pack

  • @42301nesmitht is it grey?

  • @michaelroseagain ummmm no..

  • @42301nesmitht try a different texture pack. make sure you zip the files and folders and not the containing folder. or just get the zip from your trash when you download

  • @michaelroseagain o: THX!!!!

  • Go to finder then Library then go to Applicatio support and then find minecraft and your there,

    CLICK SO THEY CAN SEE

  • @liame124 This won't work for people in Lion. The folder is hidden. There are several solutions for this. Subscribe for the next one, the next video will explain this very simply.

  • thanks

  • help i can't click the texture pack on the texture packs button at the mine craft main screen

  • thanks

  • oh my gosh thank you so much this helped me a lot and it worked. THANK YOU

  • where tdo u go to get texture packs and dowload them

  • @AJ287772 Try the Minecraft forums, or simply Google them

  • @AJ287772 JFGI

  • I couldn't find it your way but all I did was list the items in columns, then clicked on Library application support then minecraft and then texture packs...still simple i think heh

  • @JagoFive hehe, yeah, tha's a way to do it. The real issue is that people go to the wrong library because they start at the root of the hard disk and not their personal user folder. You started in your user folder so what you are really looking at is /User/username/Library/Application Support. Also, people on Lion can't see their library folder at all, it is hidden, so they have to use the Go To trick.

  • @michaelroseagain Apple took out Library to be visible to users. But its still in your mac. All you have to do is go to Finder, click "command" "Shift" "G" and a window should pop up. Then type ~/Library. Without the dot <- Then if you want to have Library visible all the time in your sidebar, drag the little Library icon on the top of finder. Hold it and then drag into your favourites bar on the side of Finder.

    Enjoy!

  • @JagoFive That's ok on Leopard or Snow Leopard, but on Lion the Library is hidden.

  • I LOVE YOU THANKSSS

  • @DoubleXPanda Thank YOU DoubleXPanda. There are so many idiots on YouTube it's really nice to have a kind comment once in a while :)

  • Says that the folder cannot be found, and i typed it in perfectly =(

  • @aaaaaaaa3aaaaaa See my video on 'Finding you Minecraft folder'. In the options in the Minecraft launcher is a button that will reveal your folder location, that's what you need to type perfectly.

    1) Don't use your Minecraft username

    2) Don't use the system Library folder

    3) DO try 'Minecraft' & 'minecraft' - they changed the spelling to a lowercase 'm' at some point.

    4) Do use search

  • it shows up in the texture pack option in minecraft but i cant click it... help?

  • @fellydog i am having the same problem

  • This helped me out SOOOO much! Thank you!

  • it dousnt work!!! its just the origonal one!!!

  • hello, my name is otis, i have a fairly old mac, after weeks of trying to install and find a good video i couldnt find the energy to try and compress, zip, copy, paste, archive and all that shizzle, but then i found your video, i now have a texture pack and i love it, thanks soo much ;)

  • how did u rename the archive

  • thx it really works

  • Wow, is that all it takes? I've followed other methods and so far, this is the only one that actually works properly. Thank you so much. QAQ

  • It just has select texture pack sreccn as the the texture pack

  • Please tell me how to change the name of the folder

  • Nvm

  • How do u change the name on it?

  • It's not working for me for some reason...help??..

  • Thanks you so much

  • By me it does not open a folder after I do the go to folder

  • Cheers

  • this helped alot but the texture pack doesnt work?

  • what username am i supposed to use? my minecraft one? or computer username?

  • @elementaltrident7 computer

  • i dont have a mincraft folder? o.o?

  • @Revan69911 if you have played Minecraft you have a folder. Trust me. LOL

  • @michaelroseagain see my video "Finding your Minecraft folder".

  • @michaelroseagain it says folder does not exist

  • @Revan69911 type ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/

  • i went to go and then go to folder and it was blank so i tried typing in what you had typed previously and it said can not go to folder?

  • @Leegan9 Make sure you are using your username, not mine! See my video on finding your folder and username.

  • thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

  • Thank you sooooo much!!! I was never able to get texture packs to actually show up in the texture pack folde,r and i was rarely able to get texture packs to work

  • when i right click it doesnt say compress anywhere

  • @MegaTacoPanda If you have files selected then 'Compress x Items', it's directly under the 'Get Info' option on a default Mac Leopard/Snow Leopard/Lion install.

  • thank u so much

  • Wow ty.. finally... all I needed to know was to compress the files in the folder not the folder itself. Thanks again

  • @gorgoroth777 Yeah, that's all anyone here needs to know, cause of most problems with texture pack judging by all the comments here. I'll do a new video soon stressing this I think.

  • Thanks!

  • do you put your minecraft username or your mac username

  • @gbyijnuibh your Mac username, you are looking at files put into your Mac system when Minecraft runs for the first time, you could have a million users but you'd only have one Application Settings/minecraft folder.

Please see my video on 'Finding Your Minecraft Folder' for help.

  • LEGEND!!!! so easy man thanks :)

  • when i click on the texture pack it doesnt say it is a floder

  • @gbyijnuibh no, it'll look like a texture, but it'll be grey, this means it's broken and it's probably broken because you have zipped/archived the folder - you need to zip the contents which is several files and folders.

  • i did everything but the texture pack didn't com cup when i opened mine craft. Thanks sooo much though I've searched for a really long time for a good video like this and yours was the best I've found.

  • Okay so I did everything and it was very helpful thank you very much! But I have a question. Now I've logged in, gone to Texture packs and it's there but it won't let me click on it and use it. Any advice? Thanks!

  • @TheRealNinja1k If the icon is grey it's not a valid zip file. Try getting the original zip out of the trash or check to make sure you zipped the files and folders and not the single folder, the zip needs to contain the files, not a folder full of the files, if that makes sense.
