I flopped my first XJ in Moab, just like the wrangler in the video. Had a v8 swap, ford full widths, atlas tcase, 37s. I was soooooo sad. Haven't had the money to build another Jeep quite like that one since. It was worse than losing my Grandmother.

(congrats you know how to bolt things on and get them from a catalog). Really jealous of the atlas man I would love to be able to gear that low

I had a 5.3 vortec in my XJ, and that thing was badass. Theres really no doubt that Chevy can make a great motor. Why wouldn't you want more power? Don't get me wrong, Im gonna keep the i6 in my TJ, stroke it, etc.... but Chevy's v8s are a great swap for Jeeps, and theres tons of support for that type of transplant.
