ONE OF THE CORNERSTONE ACTS OF THE ERA, THE CHARMS PRODUCED THEIR OWN UNIQUE DELIVERY SEPERATING THEIR SOUND FROM SO MANY OF THE OTHERS! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS EXCITING 78RPM PJ.DIDDYBOPPER49
Really?! Wow, now that's a trivia I had no knowledge about. Thanks for the clarity. I do know the Otis Williams of the Temptations started a few groups before becoming the landmark Temps as we know them today - Otis WIlliams & The Distants, The Elgins (After the wrist watch), and the Siberians. Glad they settled on the Temptations. Now I know there were really two Otis Williamses in the music "doo wop" industry. Again, PJ, thanks for coming through.
Wonderful! Eldridge "Al" Bryant must be on lead; one of the original members (sans Paul Williams and Eddie Hendricks) way bf they were called The Temptations. With that said, Otis & His Charms did their stuff then and continue to do it today - Spellbinding tight harmony! Thanks again, PJ. Always!
@grapesfirst90 - You may have read that there was a connection (a lot of people think there was) but there's actually no relation to the Temptations here. The Otis Williams singing lead here is a different man with the same name. He's a hell of a nice guy too.. I met him at a show he and The Charms appeared at about 10 years ago.
@MrRoger6868 - I was impressed with the sound as well, although it has a little bit of shellac hiss. One of the cleanest sounding 78's I've ever heard is the Five Crowns 78 I posted last night
Good tune. Otis in good voice. The arrangement sounds a bit like the Platters. Apparently released in April of '57. How many songs did Henry Glover write?

@cbfall - If you want to hear great harmony check out their song "That's Your Mistake." I think it's credited to Otis Williams and His New Group
