  • Wow. Damn the 80's were the best. How I wish those lost years were back or an ability to relive them other than on youtube. Thank you for the upload!

  • LIKE the girl : 0:45

  • my light for Mozzer..eternal

  • all my love to the sweetie black gril with white pearls at 1:24

  • Should have said Johnny Marr...

  • I came to watch this video just because of the audience :)

  • Fuckin epic

  • This video made me shiver... what a moment. I'd do anything to be there jumping and singing along. Such a powerfull concert. A legend sainging an anthem.

  • somebody tell who the hell dislike this video, dear lord!!!!!!!, morrisey got magic on his voice!!

  • Morrissey: the modern day Lord Byron, if not Messiah! Look at them, never before has an audience been so enthralled. His is the light that will never go out!

  • morrissey has a light that never goes out...

  • Goosebumps

  • this will always bring me back to high school. it makes me think of my best friend.

  • 10 people got hit by a double decker bus?

  • Well, the pleasure and privilege is mine, mr Morrissey.

  • and if a double decker bus...

  • The Best. Ever.

  • I was there LEGEND !!!!

  • Look how excited they all sing along. The power of lyrics and Morrissey's voice :)

  • Morrissey we love you and we appreciate your honesty.

  • @christyfanderson honesty? oh, you mean stuff like "breivik is bad but nothing compared to mcdonalds and kfc". he should stick to writing beautiful anthems like this imo.

  • @firestartertwistedfi That is not what he said. You are twisting his words. What he said was that there is violence that happens every day but we do not pay attention to it because it is legal. It is legal violence. He never said Breivik is bad but not compared to McDonald's and KFC.

  • @christyfanderson That's not exactly correct.

I was there in Warsaw when he said it. He said the killings were a tragedy and have left 97 people dead. And that this (meaning the number of deaths) is nothing compared to what happens every day at McDonalds and KFSh*t.

  • @hackum1 He made another statement but it's alright. I came here just to listen to the song.

  • @hackum1 You're saying it's quantitative not qualitative? I'm not so sure.

  • Am I the only one singing along with this?

  • @mandalay32 no,you're not

  • @mandalay32 no,you're not

  • I love how people sing along with Moz. Gives me goose bumps.

  • I saw Moz back in the day.It was a killer show.He was swinging the mic stand and whipping the cord.It was a reserved seating show in a very posh place so we were regulated to the balcony first set..however second set there was and a rush and a push to the stage..in the end Moz was less than ten feet away.Pretty kewl aye

  • *smiles, listens and wipes away a tear*

  • The best of the best.!!

  • he meant so much to me when i was a young gay kid...

  • Oh my god. I know it sounds pathetic, but this song has the kind of emotional power where it can bring me to tears. Raw, desperate yearning and a burning desire to be loved all encapsulated in a single 4 minute burst. I have never heard such a passionate crowd in all my life, no other song could produce such a powerful emotional response. Morrissey..... <3

  • Every once in a while, very very rarely, moments like these come along: a perfect comunion between melody, lyrics, voice and a crowd. Because this is what music is all about: connecting with someone. And this one gets to me everytime, so fuck*n emotional!

  • @Ceremony1985 I HATE when the crowd sings along. Moz isnt Bono! The Smiths weren't about all that "C'mon, lets hear you clapping along to this one" crap. Thats the part of the 80's they never adhered to.

  • @PlaceOfOrigin ha setle down-im sure he doesnt care. Even if they weren't about it, im sure he isnt to worried if the croud do enjoy themselves and sing along.

  • @PlaceOfOrigin err crowd**

  • Já é a vigésima vez que eu escuto essa música hoje....e não estou com a intenção de parar....

  • bom pra sua época e pra agora

  • I cant resist a crown of people singing along, the feeling of comradary and absolute love for the music overwhelms me! Imagine 1000s of people singing the words you rote one day at home back at you....

  • @Zombiesnails Yeah! we are one on those moments

  • Superb vid with the audience singing the text word for word. Feels very touching.

  • The meteoric Mr Morrissey !

  • Oh my god ive been to as many concerts as possible, and havent heard this song live :(

  • you are so unlucky, i have seen him seven times and heard it three. My wife has been four of those times aqnd never heard it. If you want to see grown men cry, wait til the next gig when he does this. Absolute magic.

  • i was 13 when i first become a moz fan and i taught girlfriend in a coma and frankly mr shankly to my class haha

  • @mring111 aaa, i love frankly mr shankley

  • Words are not enough to describe Morrissey, the best words in the world can't come close. He's sooo good!

  • To DavidXMoreno: I would agree with you, thy belong among the great duos in rock history. Page/Plant, Mick/Keith, Lennon/McCartney, etc.

  • How is that "bullshit"? Where's your argument?

  • What a heavenly song. Morrissey is brilliant!

  • vocally, Robert Smith is no Morrissey

  • Agreed, the combination is what made the songs work.

  • @ coz109 What a load of bullshit

  • How is that "bullshit"? What's your argument?

  • I love how the Moz worshippers got their pompadours all in a fuss.

  • Oh, very original there. I'll answer that first comment you removed, viz., what my argument is:

Have you actually listened to much Morrissey solo stuff? Suedehead, Seasick Yet Still Docked, Trouble Loves Me, Let Me Kiss You, Now My Heart is Full, The More You Ignore Me, and so on are all brilliant songs, and I argue at least equal to many Smiths classics. I hate the way some people can't acknowledge Moz has written (and been involved with) great works of art since going solo.

  • Right, so how does that make my statement "bullshit"? The main reason Moz is known is a result of being in The Smiths. As far as his solo material goes, yes I've heard it and own most of it. It's good, and a few songs could probably hold their own with The Smiths' catalog. However, don't for one second kid yourself about the overall depth of the music. I hate the way most Moz fans are so blinded by fanatical adoration that they refuse to acknowledge that just maybe he didn't do it alone.

  • I never said he did it alone.. He has had some brilliant collaborators over the years: Boz Boorer, Alain Whyte, Stephen Street, Jesse Tobias and Johnny Marr... The fact you think Morrissey would have been meaningless without Marr is bullshit... Marr would have been just as meaningless without Morrissey... The Smiths were a two way street... You have to look at things lyrically as well as musically..

  • Wow, if you read my other replies you would see that I completely acknowledge the validity of the partnership of Morrissey and Marr. In fact, I even put them with the great duos of all time. I also never commented negatively on his solo material. Point being, Moz's partnership with Marr was the perfect platform for his unique lyrical style. Anything else at the time most likely would have been overlooked thereby rendering Morrissey meaningless, and vice versa. Marr deserves better from Moz fans.

  • I fail to see how being overlooked would thereby render Morrissey meaningless... Anyway, if that is your argument, it really is a superfluous statement. That would imply that John Lennon would have been meaningless with Paul McCartney etc etc... Everybody needs a starting point of course, but speculation on what may have happened isn't proof of anything... Who knows, Morrissey could have met John Squire or Noel Gallagher some time in the late 80s or early 90s and produced an even better band...

  • First off, John Lennon WOULD have been meaningless without Paul Mcartney! Mick Jagger, meaningless without Keith Richards. Ian Brown without John Squire = meaningless. Why? Because the bands they formed would have never existed. Thanks for proving my point. Moz fans will never get it.

  • I disagree... Quite simply disagree... You can't speculate on something which never happened...Who knows if Lennon or Morrissey would have been meaningless if they took a different path in music... Anyway, if that was your initial point (that Moz would have been meaningless without Marr) why did you wish to point it out in the first place, particularly if you think it's so obvious? Do you like to tell people the sky is blue too?

  • I doubt the sky is blue in your world. It's obviously whatever color Morrissey wants it to be. Thanks again, I couldn't make this up if I tried.

  • Yep. I love both but ... let me flip through the records ... hmmm, no electronic, no healers, no modest mouse ... but look at all this Morrissey! Marr is clearly a genius but, as a bad guitar player, i couldn't relate to him. Morrissey was never intimidating, just real and honest in a way i was never able to be but was so happy that someone else felt the same way. Not all of us are great guitar players but we are all human and Morrissey made it ok for me to be this human.

  • Johnny Marr is a superb musician and person in general. Morrissey would be nothing without him.

  • Bravo amyjohnson11! It's nice to see someone else with a little perspective on here. I couldn't agree more.

  • saw him at the roseland in portland...only 1200 people...amazing. Love Morrissey!

  • morrissey =GOD........this song makes me cry hahaha damn!!!!!

  • one word needed - amazing
