  • is this all at the same show? man... they had some bad luck! :P

  • At 1:17! Holy cow! She ALMOST stayed on! Like WOW!

  • it is sattle bronk barrol racing

  • 1:00 <-- How bad of a rider do you have to be to fall off from a horse doing that? Wow.

  • well... horses will be horses

  • i'm 11 and i barrel race, and i'm glad these accidents haven't happened to me, yet. but i sure am ready for when they come.. :D btw i have videos :3

  • The Horse around 2:53 has a bond with their owner because the horse stayed and waited for her like my horse did when I fell off of her. (:

  • @TheHopeAndAshleyShow Agreed. If you watch the video where I fell as soon as I started to fall Buddy slid to a stop and didn't move a muscle until I led him out of the arena.

  • @Haileyandbuddy That's amazing. At a show I fell off my horse bareback for some fun extra event and I landed under my horse and she stopped in her tracks and waited for me.. Then she started running cause all my family started running into the arena and spooked her but by then I had managed to get myself out from under her.(:

  • @TheHopeAndAshleyShow Awesome:) I goat-tie and as soon as I go to jump off my new horse, Gracie, she stops and then follows me over to the goat without me leading her. It's quite awesome

  • @Haileyandbuddy That's amazing ! My horse isn't used to that kind of stuff so she would probably freak out but I'm gonna keep practicing with her(:

  • @TheHopeAndAshleyShow That's all us equestrians can do, huh?

  • @Haileyandbuddy Whaaa ??..

  • From 1:14 to 1:31 that person stayed on pretty long and then they fell off.

  • It makes you wonder sometimes what the heck is going on with the arena dirt. That many racers shouldn't be going down like that at one place...

  • i've always admired how gracefully these horses switch leads.

  • ok i am having trouble with my horse i cant get him to trot around the barrels or faster than a trot but i can get him to go faster that a trot going to the barrels .. so how do i get him to trot around the barrels without him stoping to a walk?

  • @iluvbarrelracing1 Well I would continue working slow stuff. It's important to ingrain the basics. As far as maintaining the trot around the barrel you might be asking your horse for too tight of a turn too early. Regardless of the size of your circle around each barrel try to keep your horse to maintain the trot around each barrel being light on the face only touching his face to remind him to flex his body around

  • @turnNburn12 ok thanks..

  • Continued-

As he becomes comfortable with that size of circle gradually make it smaller until he's maintaining the trot and turning it nice a tight

  • @iluvbarrelracing1 Like iluvbarrelracing1 said, start at a trot and gradually move onto a lope. Start with big circles and then get smaller. Remember to give the horse 2 seconds to think about what you've asked of them. First to think about what you've asked, second to do so. If they don't listen when you've asked, then demand. Make sure your signals are clear as to what you want them to do! Hope this can help! :)

  • 1:38 really good first barrel...then all of a sudden...boing boing boing boing boing boing hop hop boing boing hop boing!

  • 1:03 i love how he doesn't move AT ALL With his horse and just sits there and falls off XD lmao

  • Okay, so my friend told me the reason people can't stop a bucking horse is that the one-rein stop doesn't work sometimes... But I've never seen anyone even try! That's the first thing I do when I know something's going wrong. Lol.

The first one, I kinda saw coming. Your butts gotta go back in the saddle someday babe! Lol.

  • at 2:00 and again around 2:20, lets not HANG in the horses' mouth; you WILL get thrown!!!

  • Some horses jus have that spunky streak in them and there always gonna be excited at the gate. I have a 5 yr old stud i run on the pattern. If he wants to run he'll run if he don't, he won't there aint no makin him do it. He will throw you as soon as he can.. Now on the other had my mare shes queen bee a 15 yr old mare who jus won't stop runnin lol she has to make a show at the gate wants everyone to see her. Some horses jus have to put on a show they wanna be seen.

  • continue:: But we keep a schedule of riding daily, but I never oever work her on barrels because I do not want her to go loco like a lot of barrel horses are. She usually places in the top 5 when we go to shows, but when she places in later places, I give her a week off of barrels to have her own time. Horses should be pampered not over worked.

  • I run my 10 year old quarter horse mare "Scotch" only one-two days out of the week on barrels.WE will spend about 2 and a half hours walking/trotting/cantering/ and galloping the barrels. After we are done we go on a 45 minute trail ride (which is her favorite). The other days we trail ride, street ride, do some arena riding.

  • Alot of good barrel horses will get anxious when there goin into the arena to run because all of them especially my horses luv to run barrels so they get excited when the enter the arena so it natural for them to prance and stuff

  • Registered quarter horse $18,000

    Barrel racing saddle $5,000

    Fancy cowboy costume $1,000

    Arena sand enema PRICELESS

  • the girl that started at 1:34 to 2:08 her horse disagree to those spurs she had on. If your just starting barrel racing and want advise don't ride with spurs if your horse does good with out them. my horse hates spurs so i don't use them.

  • 3:20 FAIL

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE to barrel race. But the one thing I love to do with my horse is just have him take it slow. I mean I don't know how people can shoot in there like that..I have to circle my horse so he doesn't get excited. I love being safe when I ride, and I don't know about other people but I love to take it slow so my horse doesn't get excited. It's so much fun :)

  • I'm proud of the horse at 1:45 for bucking :p

Why would you EVER jerk on their face like that. That's NOT the way to handle it.

    What an idiot...

  • @barrelbrat9999

They are trying to keep his head up, if they have their head up, they can't buck as high. I do that with my horse, cause he has a major bucking problem, I always have a tight rein on him, and I make him keep his head up. THAT'S WHAT YOUR SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN YOUR HORSE STARTS BUCKING!!!

  • @1JonasLoveForever1

With STEADY pressure! What idiots. I see more horses that come in for training with issues because their riders have jerked on them like that than any other issues. That is not the way to respond to a bucking horse. You might consider taking your horse to a trainer or at least go to a clinic or in for lessons or something. Bucking is a serious problem, and if you're responding to it with jerking you are %98 likely to be making it worse.

  • great horses.....really bad riders.......

  • Poor horses... jeez.

  • OWW!!

  • this reminds me of a few experiences i have had barrel racing, but iv only had horse lose their footing while turning a barrel, if i were to have a horse like some of the ones on this video that buck and become out of control, i wouldn't keep that horse another day, its not so much the horses fault as it is the trainer and the riders, but what a waste of money in entry fees!

  • some one trained a good solid horse at 2:54

  • @justwatchthedamvideo can you tell me what that means i can't figure it out.

  • @HopalongBarrelRacer

the rider fell off and the horse stopped and waited so many horses are conditioned to just run run run, it's nice to see a horse stop and wait as patently as that one did,

  • i whant to feel like i know everything about horses and since i have no life im going to start criticising the riders on this vid. <---- thats how most people are about horse vids xD get a life!!!

I love the song the editing and the video clips five stars *****

  • I've been going through reading some of the comments on here and a lot of them make sense. How many people can honestly say they've had the guts to get up there and ride like these people? Do you think that these people enter the arena scared thinking something bad is going to happen? No. They enter confedent. Like all the other riders. Have you realized on videos like this is says "Barrel Racing ACCIDENTS"?

  • i HATE crazy hot horses that people cant control...i've been around horse my whole life and im not saying i know every thing but come on people really go trail ride ur horse or go to a funshow and do a pleasure class just for fun...horses shouldnt need tiedowns because their crazy not that im against tie downs or anything but my horse has been doing barrells for 13 years and she walks right in the arena calm as can be and not to brag but ussually wins so its possible...love the video btw :)

  • Ur probably fuckin terrible at barrel racin. Alot of these horses like runnin and its not necessarily the horses fault that they get over exited. It's like a 7 year old going to chucky cheese. So if you want to prove you barrel race then get a video of you barrel racin' and send it to me and i Jump and Barrel race.

  • listen maybe you d owin but there are a lor of GREAT horses that are hot. Its theie personality.. and I'm not sounding to be pricky or anything... ut at what level did you win?

  • 2:52 tht song is perfect timing for the impact of the fall!

  • Like nervous entering the arena

  • The only good way to handle a nervous horse that doesn't want to enter the area is remaining calm and keeping forward motion. It also helps to keep a horse walking before he enters the area making sure he's relaxed and calm before he goes in.

  • My horse is calm when he stands until your ready to enter the ring but if i walk him around first then he gets antsy. I have to bring him way out away from the arena and then bring him up when they call me on deck. He's kinda funny cuz he chomps the bit as we get closer to the gate..

  • @Cowgirlup291

Another way is to walk them through it before the competition so they get the feel

  • Hey I was just wondering if you could give some tips on how to handle the horse when she's upset or nervous...that kind of stuff!

  • Well what exactly do u mean by upset and nervous? Do you mean handling a nervous horse when u barrel race or just in general? Also what is the horse nervous about?Entering the area or having an "area sour" horse is very common in barrel racing

  • @Cowgirlup291 Don't work your horse more than two days a week on barrels. My 10 year old mare works usually about 3-4 hours a week on barrels, and about 15 hours on trails or in the arena. your horse is probably getting nervous because you either lunged her before entering the arena (I think lounging is wrong), or you didn't spend enough time with her just pampering her or walking her out in a field. Spend personal time with her, and then try and get her to work. Don't over do it!

  • My favorite is when the rider gets catapulted off at 3:20. It really just looks like the person has no balance and was not ready for this kind of speed.

  • I'm currently going to try barrel racing and i've been trying to get as much info as possible, and I was at a website that gave me this vid, and said they were riding wrong, how were they putting too much weight on the horse? I do agree that people shouldn't be kicking them like crazy, train your horse properly so u don't have to!! whats the wrong way to ride when you are doing barrels?

  • Well this video is kinda more riders on their off days or riding poorly but there are a few things you wanna avoid when you're barrel racing. You wanna try to look ahead to the next barrel....not down...it throws both you and your horse's balance off. Try to get up out of the saddle in between barrels and sit deep when you're going into the turn. Most of the issues in this video relate to horse misbehaving and their riders not handling the situation properly. If you have questions message me.

  • Know what. You dont know when your horse is gonna rear or buck or through you. Things happen. And absaloutly every single horse in the world has a bad day no matter what you do. No matter what you do they will have at least one bad day in their life. And some people take horses they are training for barrel to a barrel race and they might act up or be fine, you never know. And horses act different in different situations and places and around other horses. Not trying to be rude.

  • i think the reason that horses act up is becuse they are being forced to do something they dont want to do or there just having a bad day!! and also when all these people r pulling back on the reins the bit could be hurting the horses mouth

  • no its not that its beacause people cant control their horses when they get to the arena. my opinion is that your horse should be able to walk calmly into the arena. these riders dont correct their horses enough so they become habits.

  • exactally my barrel horse will walk calmly into the arena. and wait till i tell her to go

  • i hate going to barrel races and seeing people and their horses freaking out. i just want to go over to them and pull em off their horse. its annoying. they let em get away with it too.

  • im with ya ll on pulling back on the reins while they are rearing up. that is just stupid. people act so special sometimes.oops lol

  • if your horse has never reared before, you wouldn't be ready for it. Give them a break.

  • I agree with you.

  • The stupid of some of these riders amazes me. To pull on a western curb bit in the horse's mouth until they throw their heads and rear, and then kick them to make them go faster while still hauling back on the reins? The sport isn't cruel, the riders are just .... well.

  • i totally agree...i just dont understand what these ppl are thinking....or how they would EVER stay on w/o the horn!

  • never ever pull on the reins when the horse rears up ever

  • It is not cruel in no way shape or form we do not beat neglect or hurt the horses in any way ..they love what they do

  • @stunt729 i agree, a lot of the horses i've seen doing this, when they lose the rider, they just continue the barrels because the WANT to do it!

  • If you do barrelracing not all the time, okay. But sorry it is cruel, if you have to hurt your horse. Some of these shown people deserved to fall, I hope they hurt themselves.

  • barrel racing is really fun, but i do agree you should do more with yuor horse than just barrel racing all the time eventually they get bored, but it annoys me when you try to watch a horse video and then you scroll down to the comments and people are talking about how cruel bits and spurs are plus most of the people leaving comments like those don`t even own or ride horses so they don`t know what they are talking about!

  • i agree with you. now spurin a horse so hard or so much till it bleeds is cruel but just using the spurs are not. and bits aint at all cruel or abusive. and if you dont own a horse or ride horses you shouldnt be commintin!

  • i don't know much about western, but i do know that anything you do with a horse should never be forced. i think some of these horses didn't even like their job. (and i know when a horse doesn't like it's job, i've trained (and an currently training a 5 yr old) horses for 3 years. and maybe if their stirrups weren't so goddamn long they could have better control (no offense barrel racers)

  • I do agree with you on that one. I've always wondered why some horses throw the biggest fit to get in the gate when it hit me....the majority of riders kick, smack and spur the hell out of those horses. So in truth some of them hate their job, but there are still a lot of horses that enjoy their job. And I do agree with the stirrup length. My trainer shorted mine so I can get of the the saddle easier in between barrels

  • My daughter barrelraces she loves it. Some (not all) barrelracers run their horse till they blow up on them and refuses to perform. We take great care of our horses, don't run them all the time and keep their mind sharp by doing other activities with them. Like trail rides. A barrel horse doesn't always have to do barrels. I have the greatest respect for everybody in this sport, it isn't as easy al it looks. Keep up the good work, ride safe.

WOW!! 43 characters left, 17 now. Bye :)

  • Finally a person who understands that horses shouldn't do the same thing over and over again.

  • DANG

  • Sorry xoxobarngirl101 !!!!!!!!!! I meant that pocplocoranch is making a big deal out of nothing! Sorry again!

  • Barrel racing is hard on a horses joints just as much as it is hard on a football players! They like their job, and really, if it was BAD for their joints, then they would probuably be limping! I know a twenty-four (24) year old barrel horse! You wouldnt even know that it was 24! His runs are great and he has energy non stop! Your making a big deal out of nothing xoxobarngifl101 !! Nice video! I think its funny when the riders fall off... LOL :)

  • barrel racing is not cruel! as you can see most of the horses that lose their riders continue to finish their barrels. and other equine sports such as racing, jumping, eventing, dressage, reining and driving are just as hard on their joints as barrel racing. and dont you like to go out on the weekends and play sports. well, so do horses, you do not like to sit on you couch all day, and they grow bored sitting in their stalls all day. horses need things to do to keep them healthy and happy.

  • All sports are hard on horses. Even them galloping across the pasture is hard on them. The horses love to do it because thats what they are trained to do. I am sorry you feel differently. You may want to consult a vet or other equine expert if you feel so strongly about your viewpoints. And I can guarantee you though most equine athletes get excellent care and maintenance. My horses are better taken care of than I am!

  • Umm excuse me? I run my horse in barrels so basically you just called me a non horse lover....you know barrel racing is no harder on a horses joints then any other sport! So screw you! I treat my horse excellent and trust me if my horse didn't love to run barrels he wouldn't do it so don't even try to tell me I'm being cruel to him and I make him do it! He loves his job! Don't comment poorly on any more of my barrel racing videos or I'll block you.

  • It is not a cruel sport! I LOVE horses and i have a barrel mare and filly.... SHE LOVES HER JOB AND TRYS TO GO FASTER THAN I ASK HER TO GO!!!!! A barrel racer (horse) joints are just as a football players! If there was real pain, they would be limping all the time... BUT THEY DONT BECAUSE IT DOESNT HURT THEM LIKE YOU THINK!

  • Ya no barrel racing riders are very good riders i dont see why ppl think they arent bcuz the accidents and stuff are unexpected

  • no kidding...them and jumpers...they have to know how to sit in the saddle otherwise they are screwed...i thought i was good...so i bought a retired barrel horse who won at alot of comp.s...well needless to say i got on it ...got her goin tried out the pattern..the horse went one way i went the other...bout 4000 times later i finally got the hang of it...but dam they are quick

  • well thats good. i was just wonderin cuz i saw the vid about his back and hip problems. that sucks my gelding jack before he died had those problems i had to call a chiropractor for him every other month it really helped.

  • Yeah his back and hip are doing pretty good. We'll probably have the vet come back out in the next couple weeks to check to make sure all the adjustments held but other than Duster's eye I think he's doing okay right now

  • no prob hows your horse doin?

  • He's doing good :] I don't know if you've read my profile but he's been having some eye troubles for the last few weeks. He had a corneal ulcer but the vet came out to look at it today and he said the ulcer is healed and all that's left is some bruising.

  • hey ppl get over it.sheesh i think the video definately showed the bad side of barrel racing. its not always that way. turnnburn12 thanks for the video it was great!!!!!

  • Thank you :] I'm kinda upset that everyone is arguing about the riders and the horses in this video. I made this video to show that everyone has off days people and horses alike. No one should have the right to judge it's not like they're any different they make mistakes too! Thank you for your nice comment on this video though :]

  • im just saying its a great video. i love the music!!!! turnnburn i think its a great interpretation of our bad days.

  • Thank you :]

  • barrel racers have to be some of the worst riders i have ever seen

  • but alas, she was fine so bite me

  • OMG!!!! Get a life! If your not into horses then stop commenting and whatching the videos. Go watch something like a car crash or a drive by shooting and leave us horse people alone.

  • No one cares what you think. If you don't like horses then why the hell would you watch a barrel racing video?

  • im not watching the barrel racing you dumbass im watching the spills you take, idc about the racing just the falls DUMBASS. if it were to be only barrel racing id get bored out of my mind and kill myself because it would be so tedious

  • aha you obviously have no life if your sitting around watching people fall all the time. its really not hilarious at all, so your the one whos really making a fool out of himself ;P

  • is that all people say to dis somebody nowadays? is that you have no life? wtf does that really mean? is working 8 hours a day, spending time with friends, and doing hobbies not a life? then what is?

  • then dont waste your time watching people fall off horses, go spend some time with those friends of yours. seriously what was your plan of what would happen when you would post a comment on a HORSE vidoe saying "horses are gay"?

  • Are you that depressed with your life??? O.O

  • people are idiotic.

  • 2:42 tht horse is like fuck u

  • that's a friend of mine

  • wow rlly? is she ok? srry but iv seen a lot of things and sum of these clips make me laugh cuz the ppls head goes dwn and slams into the neck of the horse and for me riding bucking and rearing horses isnt tht hard...

  • yup, she's fine. She has a hard head...LOL

  • i hate you that was mean

  • that;s fine..you can hate me for whatever reason. I'll loose many nights of sleep over a little joke....yup, loosing sleep now

  • well thts good lol tht horse was crzy man

  • that girl at 1:33 is a really good riding at staying on and making her horse do the shit its suposed to so out in the ring. Godd Job.

  • umm who cares if you dont like not wearing a helmet. maybe its like having freedom and maybe i live it when ppl dont wear halmets. Adn i call that ant heads lol. But anyways omg i feel so bad for those ppl who get hurt, But besides getting hurt there probably really good riders.

  • Love seeing people get hit in the head with hooves, horse heads, the ground and barrels....makes me feel great about wearing a helmet each time I ride. See, I care about my intellect...

  • so you are saying that people who dont wear a helmet arent smart? i love not wearing a helmet. they are a pain. kuddos to you for wearing one. but many people dont care for them. that doesnt mean they dont care about their intellect

  • i dont get why people are even AGAINST wearing helmets, whats it gonna hurt?

  • 3:11 ouch!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3:14 ow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I noticed that alot more of the people who kick continuisly when there at the barrel the horse starts to slip. Of course the horse will, because the horse needs to slow down a bit to go around the barrel, when you make it accelerate that much, etheir they will make a wide turn or slip. easy logic. :]

  • What I do is I wait till my horse is mostly around the barrell then I kick. what do you do?

  • Its not called being annoying when you are trying to help someone.. You can get seriously hurt while riding and its to dangerous to take the chance of getting hurt over something stupid. Do a little research next time before over reacting.

  • why dont all you complaining about balance and shit. jesus christ, you all are soo damn annoying. why dont you keep to yourself, and stop complainingg over Youtubee. if you have something to say about barrel racing, balance, helmets whateverr the fuck, then message me and we will talk. im tired off all this bullshit, its so annoying and immituree.

    Reallyy guys.!?

  • A lot of these barrel racers lack balance. If they learned to sit deep in their pockets then they wouldnt fall off. The two worst things you can do is brace while in the saddle and lean forward in while your horse is turning.

  • actually it is safer to stay straight while they are in the turn so you can pull them back up getting out of the turn. its like juping and moving up in the saddle.

  • what a lot of ppl don't seem to be doing is turning them in a circle, not backing them up and getting in their face. only makes it worse "/

  • Yes, they have too much tension going on at the moment and keeping their feet moving helps to calm them down. Back up, as we see here can result in a flip over and that is the worst thing. The horse that flipped didn't hesitate for a second, just up and over! Dangerous.

  • you need to learn to balance yourself in the middle you move your body weight and you will knock the horse off balance. and another thing dont set there and kick the horse and pull back at the last moment. and spurs and whips are not needed if you train that horse right you will not need them a hose is only has good as its rider and if your not a good rider then you should hit the ground make sure you check ever thing on that horse before you go in everone knows that if not then dont be ridding

  • were did you get the clips?

  • look now that i think bout it whoever makes fun of country they suck cause true barrel racers listen to dat and we go through some of the most intense and dangerous stuff i n da world so whoever makes fun of country music youd better quit

  • this is the last thing i should be watching when i got a competition coming up in about 2 weeks... My horse is so gosh dang fast i worry about him falling over and this video confirmes my fears....hey if it does happen id be sure to send you the video! LOL! i guess that would be a good thing but hey NO GUTS NO GLORY!!!!I still love the video!!

  • Omgosh, I remember one time i was training my horse for barrels, like near the beginining, and around the second turn she reared. xD She caught me totaly offguard, her poll got me square in the eye. I had something close to a shiner xD(black eye)

  • Some of thows horses are just being annoying but i feel bad for the people who fall off thows horses, somtimes they just need to be yelled at!

  • Why are horses bucking that much?

  • Sometimes if a horse is not responding to leg cues before an event a rider might change spurs. If the horses are unaccustomed to the spurs they could to buck.

  • It takes years and years of hard work to train these horses. Some girls think the horse is ready and hit the road but it is too much, too soon for the horse who isn't seasoned yet. And this is what you get, a blown up horse. Plus too much grain thinking it will give them speed but it just jacks them up, like eating Twinkes.

  • I giggled big time at the twinkes comparision

  • thats sooo true with the sweet grain. its basically feeding kids candy. "/

  • WOW

  • Lol wow what?

  • i'm SO glad we got this back!!

  • Yea I know

  • seems like a lot of those horses could benefit from more training.

  • yes training is an ongoing event for any horse in any discipline...but I think the bigger problem is that these horse become burned out on the routine on top of being fed to "hot"

  • no more riders need alot more training

  • Excellent video compilation and music clip choice! If I could give it 6 or more stars I would!

  • nice video.. just wish some of these people would wear helmets... their diccisuion tho :/

  • wow these people dont sit down they are way too far forward going around the barrels alot of them anyways

  • Yea I know lol

  • lol like is that not like one of the first things you learn, the bare basics of barrel racing lol

  • You'd think so because I don't think you can excell very far in barrel racing if you can't stay on your horse lol

  • these people can be so stupid. "Oh, my horse is f'ing pissed off and is bucking. Lets yank on his mouth non stop with a horrible western but, that'll make him stop!" wtf!?

  • whats wrong with western bits? i know lots of people who use them english and western....

  • western bits are worse than most english bits

  • there is nothing wrong with western bits, as long as you know how to use them.

  • Hmmm not true. Plus for 80% of any bits it is how they are used by the handler that makes them 'worse or better'. You can ruin a horses mouth with a snaffle if you wanted to. I have seen plenty of english AND western riders that use bits equally wrong and right.

  • She was trying to get his head up, which is what you do when a horse bucks.

  • actually, you should really turn its head inwards. not up, if the horse is that angry, it may rear, making it more unsafe for you.;

  • In an ideal situation you get the horse's head up so it isn't underneath them, and then you disengage the hind quarters. Its hard to turn their head when its so low.

  • A horse can't buck if he can't get his head down........

  • Not really, because you have to take in the cavesson, which prevents the horse from opening its mouth to get away from pressure... most western bits allow the horses to open their mouths, which relieves pressure.

  • yup

  • GREAT SONG 4 IT!

  • Thanks =]

  • wtf happened at 3:23?

  • i fink the horse went straight into the gate

  • Well I knwo that I meant like why was the gate closed anyway? It's supposed to be open so the horse won't run into it lol

  • at our hs rodeos' the gates are always closed, you are supposed to stop your horse after the timer, but BEFORE the gate, most girls turn a wide circle at the end of their run.

  • Mine too! I think its MUCH BETTER than having open gates at the end of the ring. Our gate is also set to the side of the ring, so if horses stop at the gate, they dont trip the timer and they get a lousy time. If riders get thrown when the horse stops, they land in the dirt and not the fence. It REALLY weeds out bad riders, and untrained or out-of-control horses you see at some of these events. They dont like getting dumped at the gate.

  • our were always closed until the horse was stopped and/or under control....

  • yeah, that happend to me, well kinda my horse stopped but I didn't I went right in to the gate

  • O.O Owwch.

  • yeah it HURT. lol, but it was my falut, I didn't sit deep enough

  • I know but still you don't deserve to get thrown into the gate for not setting deep enough. It was just an accident. Are you ok now though? o.o
