  • It looks that Sakamoto did not play the intro part, as he did a few years ago with Kawai's toy piano.

  • I've been a fan for about as long, but missed my chance to see them in San Francisco back in the day. And I doubt they'll ever play America again. The postymo set is fantastic. The second disc has a charming interview with the band, (thankfully with subtitles). You'll love it. Thanks for writing.

  • Yea Ryuichi Sakamoto is one of the best talented musician/composer/w.e. in the world. I really hope he comes back to America one day again for another Tour.

  • @MisterNormanDog

Have faith! I only got into them two years ago, and it seems like since '07 there's been a lot of YMO activity so who knows what could happen this year.

  • @Artstar QUuite right - I just read that they're appearing in Japan at World Happiness 2010 (with the reformed Plastics!) So maybe it's not too late.

  • @MisterNormanDog

Excellent! last year's World Happiness was quite good too, having added Firecracker and 1000 Knives to the set list delightfully surprised me.

  • @MisterNormanDog Here's your (new) chance, friend: They will be playing in San Francisco in Jun 27. The show was just announced! :)

Too bad they won't be playing anywhere near me... =/
