Decent rat reds. They are there year round and shrimp in the winters/whitebait in the summers is the way to go.

nah, I don't eat most of what I catch but I will on occasion if the fish is breathing that "mountain air". You know, the clean water in or near the gulf. Fish in Tampa Bay itself I don't usually eat and would never eat anything caught up in any of the four main rivers flowing into the Bay.
