I watched this anime, first the episodes in the 20s-when I was just seeing what it was like. Then I grew curious and rewatched it from the beginning all the way to end in 2 to 3 weeks and I LOVED it. Most animes get so overdramatic or sappy to convey an emotion or point but this anime somehow finds a balance.

Yeah, the ones who make it past the slow stage, I congratulate them as well.

This is a VERY beautiful, underrated AMV for a beautiful, underrated anime. I love how you chose to focus more on the fragility of the characters, and the darker sides of their lives and themselves (the "monster", I guess I could say). They all seemed strangely beautiful. Would have been nice to see Runge since *SPOILERS* it turns out he is nowhere near as heartless as he acts. In fact, he isn't at all.

Johan will always be a mystery. He's one of the best fictional characters ever.

Oh, also, commenting more about the AMV: 3:25-3:33 is so gorgeously edited. It really hit my heart seeing that (and almost made me wish they got together, just a little). Moments of "sweet surrender", indeed. There was such a human connection there that it felt real. Johan makes you lose faith in humanity, and Tenma brings it back.

...and on a shallow note, while Johan is indeed beautiful, I think Tenma is extremely handsome (inside and out...especially when he grows his hair out. Mmm).

The manga is pure brilliance. Though the anime ain't too shabby either. I mean it's pretty much the closest you can get to the manga. Compared to other series like Death Note where they totally took a crap on the manga and then animate it (cough episode 37 cough) the Monster anime is just awesome.

But yes the manga is just total reading power ownage.

Good Job! Making an AMV from Monster must be tough, considering there are like 74 episodes to pick from. Monster is awesome. People are too much into the sillier anime series to appreciate this - or so I find usually.
