  • Snow caching is some of the toughest.

  • good vids

  • Did lot's of snowshoeing in Montana, where I grew up. Loved it. But add geocaching with friends? Wonderful!

  • I have found caches by totem lake lol

  • Snow in UK gone now but it's nice to see! We went geocaching in the snow ...... Lovely fun.

  • I am taking the grand kids to a free snow day today. Hope to get some snowshoeing in. Will upload some geocaches to GPS. I love the Beautiful scenery in the video. This is the day the Lord made.

  • I prefer caching in the winter. No bugs, no bushwhacking, no sweating, and lots of times I can follow someone else's footprints to the cache. I tend to have a higher rate of DNF's in the winter though. I get about 25 caches a week in the summer, about 15 a week in the winter. Right now there's 2 foot of snow on the ground. As soon as the sun comes up, I'll be out caching in it!

  • Caching in the snow is alot easier then in warm summer days, why? cause there are other peoples footsteps that lead you to where the cache is hidden!!! haha. I think I've found about 15 caches this Winter. Stop being lazy and get out there!!!!

  • Geocaching is quite complicated during winter because even 1 star terrain caches can be very difficult to find if they are 50 cm under snow. On the other hand, you can see the trails of previous cachers.

  • Awesome I wish we got snow down South

  • Awesome...great video...went caching and camping New years eve/new years day in the Hoosier National Forest...good time...Thanks for the Video;-)

  • Heh... In my part of Norway, the snow is usually not the pressing issure. It have a tendency to snow about 6", then get just above freezing, letting the snow collapse and then it gets cold again making a think layer of ice, and then a light coating of fluffy dry snow on top... The problem is that either you can't get up a hill, or you go down a hill waay faster than intended with no controll whatsoever...

But finally the snow is gone now so Im going geocaching this weekend!

  • beautiful location and a great idea!
