How dare you say such things about Coupling ? Friends is (though funny, I have to admit) too american, too made up ! Coupling is about what Man/Woman relationships are really ! And it is so much fun as you can always picture or remmber yourself in one of these situations !
I agree. For one thing, Coupling is far more sophisticated, the jokes are wittier and it has far better characters than a bunch of less than intelligent people who lack even the slightest sense of humour. Also, there's no similarity betweem the two TV show, except that both involve men and women who hang out together. other than that, the shows are quite different.
I think Coupling is more like How I Met Your Mother, one of the best sitcoms on TV right now.. Not only some of the comedy, but the ways that they're filmed with flashbacks and everything....

I'm American. I'd never heard of the American version of Coupling, until I watched a clip of it this morning and let me just say it was terrible! The original is one of the best shows I've ever seen, except I only have one channel that plays it and I think they only play it once every weeknight.
I'm not trying to play peace-maker here and say things I don't mean like some people on YouTube do, I'm telling the truth.
I loved coupling but never saw the american version, however I have seen the american version of the office. It wasn't bad but just seemed to lack something in transaltion

I don't think I have ever seen an episode of Friends that I actually enjoyed. It wasn't that entertaining, especially compared to Coupling.
