2:44....Does anyone bsides me find it questionable that games are allowed to have a referrence to satan and demons yet when positive people come around and try to work on something pure they're put down and rejected. In the industry they say you can't work a game that implies any referrence to any religion at all, yet most games in our society are allowed to move forward with dark appearances like this. Can't believe the Illuminati have to ruin practically everything. -_-+
i found it. the problem now is....... im stuck, but i can always watch DavetheUsher lets play to find out where i shuld go. i found it together with some other games for the SNES, NES, Nintendo 64 and some other consoles.
sory if i writed some wrong, im not so good in englise, im from sweden
Me too. Wtf were the programmers thinking? Idiots. The world map is huge and it's so tedious to walk from one edge of a continent to another... and then you get the bird and it makes travelling easier and more enjoyable... for about 10 minutes.
Oh well, by the time you get the bird (mina), I am pretty sure at least one of your characters will have warp spells.
Hehe... got alittle nervous there on the new recorder. The repeated "I wonder how long I´ve recorded..." suddenly sounds funny. You inattensionally made some comedy. X)
Well instead of having all these weird quests that are kinda goofy it's more of a straight forward storyline that makes you want to keep playing without stopping. The story just makes more sense and keeps you interested more than BOF2 IMO.
Thanks for clarifying. I guess that is one of the reasons I don't really like BoF as much as the second one. I like having the optional side quests. In the case of BoF, I don't think the main storyline was very engaging. Though I haven't finished the game. Maybe I should get on that. :D
It's just a difference of opinions I guess. I also played BOF first and it was the first RPG I ever played so maybe that's why I think it's more "classic" haha.
BoF1 was their first rpg and they kept it a bit standard (tho I love that game) BoF2 they got to experimenting and tried creating their own style tho it was sort of a crossover title imho. 3 is where they really get into their own style.
@OverdrawnGalin Wrong. Breath of Fire 1 was made by Capcom, and Capcom contracted Square to translate and publish it in the US, because Capcom had never tried to translate such a text-heavy game before. The series was created by Capcom, and has always belonged to them.
@OverdrawnGalin Capcom and Squaresoft jointly developed, localized, and promoted Breath of Fire North American version; however, Squaresoft had publishing rights to the game in North America.
ive beaten one and two they are great games i just found out that there was a 3 and 4 last year i haven't beating 3 but i love it so far and 4 keeps glitching on me and i havent beaten dragon quarter yet eather but over all i love the BOF series.
i only played a small portion of this in the beginning and i never played the first one either. i beat the other 3 in the series and BoF3 is my favourite one. i also heard that all the BoF's are sequels of eachother and that all the ryu's are incarnates of eachother.
Breath of Fire tends to have some religious elements to it. Although that's no big deal for the Japanese, Americans tend to be concerned about about religious controversy so even minor religious elements were generally edited out of games of the 16-bit era. Breath of Fire was one of the exceptions, with the final boss of the first game being a goddess, and in this game it's demon/Satan figure.
BOF1 and 2 were some of the best snes games that I have ever played. I highly recommend playing BOF1 with its great music that I'm sure you would like.
I'd look at that walkthrough if you played BOF I. You're like a gaming MST3K or something. You just need two more drunkards and you'll be gold! Or at least it'll be even more interesting.
I tried hyper cam 2 but it would only record audio from my mic and not from the emulator. No one else seems to have that problem. I think I'll stick with Cam Studio
I had some audio problems at first but when I tested it the other day it sounded just like a CamStudio recording. Part 2 will have to be the one you use for comparison... I wish I could stick with CamStudio but the thing isn't giving me good video quality lately.
after Bof 3 this series got really weird..especially Dragon Quarter they gotta go back to 1,2 or 3

Funny you said Capcom. Breath Of Fire was first created By SquareSoft back in 1992 then later past on the rights to capcom.

"This game was made by capcom"
This game is Breath of Fire II.
DavetheUsher 2 years ago
you have that totally backwards, OverdrawnGalin.
Capcom made the original BoF and Square licensed it and translated it to its English release.
