  • subaru legacy

  • Lo

  • the 2010-present Suzuki Kizashi is assembled in

    Sagara, Japan

  • Suzuki Kizashi is a very nice car. Read some good reviews on it.

However, Suzuki North America needs some new products for all the Suzuki`s dealerships. I seen the Swift in Europe and it is nothing like the ones we get in NA. Ford has the right idea, they brought the Euro Fiesta and Focus to North America and their sales went way up. May be Suzuki can learn something from Ford.

  • This guy is great at reviewing cars.

  • habla en castellano tambien

  • thats a hot car :) wooow

  • looks like a Passat and Insignia

  • Suzuki, Kia and Hyundai have improved alot compared to Toyota and Honda. Have you seen the new Honda Civic 2011, on the basis of refinement, its rubbish and so are many Toyotas including their top of the range off road, Hilux.

  • this year they have it with a v6!

  • Thanks Ron, however bench-press it, then i'll buy one!

  • With the new Suzuki Kizashi :

The luxury is no longer will be Monopolized by rich people ONLY !

  • @sadanjd only if it didnt costed 50k usd in some places like asia

  • I wish they made it 5 doors instead of regular sedan so it would be usable as a pracitcal family car as well, maybe they'll make a wagon, later, that would be great.

  • @claybourg The sport wagon version is already in the plans. Hopefully it will be ready when the new engine choices are made available too.

  • fuck all the idiots with the american ugly shits, you need one million cc to make just 200hp, don't compare suzuki or better japan technology, you are the only reason that don't let and sabotage other companies to improve themselves with your money and your commercials, give a kizashi and i have you everywhere you and your bucket!!!

  • It seems like a nice car awd 4 cylinder that's good

  • its a crappy chevy cruze! it squeeks and rattles just like the cruze. they're both the same car. chevy is been rebadging suzuki's for years. badge monkeys!!! did he say fake exhaust pipes.wtf! is up with fake stuff. they talk so much about this car then they toss in some fake exhaust outlets.chevy make your own car instead of using another car makers platform or atleast pick a better built car. this guy said he would buy one.he is representing the manufacturer.worst review ever!

  • @sevstate wow are you ever misinformed. The Suzuki Kizashi has absolutely nothing to do with the Chevy Cruz. Kizashi is a 100% Suzuki designed platform and NOT shared with any other car. As far as rattles any car can have them but you won't find many Kizashi car reviews that mentions ANY rattles in the Kizashi. And no he didn't say fake exhaust pipes, he's only talking about the exhaust SURROUNDS. The Kizashi DOES have REAL functional dual exhaust pipes, the surrounds just dress up the pipes!

  • @sevstate you are an idiot suzuki and chevrolet are no longer together!! Stupid fuck

  • I WANT ONE!

this is better than Toyota Camry... though VW Passat is still a good competitor.

Also.... what he said? 25k $???? Here it costs ~40k. Damn, living in States (or EU?) is cheap.

  • @khanx3000 Well $25k is for a fully loaded deluxe version of the Kizashi that is the SLS. But Kizashi actually starts at 19k here in the U.S. and that is before rebates. Even an AWD version can be had for around $21k nicely equipped.

  • I really love the design of that car. Looks beautiful in person too, I finally got to check one out at a dealership, and I gotta say it's even more impressive in person. It handles much better than anything else I test drove. I went to test drive a Hyundai Sonata the next day and I was really disappointed in how the Sonata drove compared to the Kizashi!

  • whats the price?

  • @Fanispapachristos I have no idea what the prices are in Greece but in the USA the price starts at about $19,000 (around $18,000 if you count the rebates) and even the AWD version can be had for around $22,000.

  • never mind the price.it has FAKE exhaust oulets. dont you guys get it. FAKE exhaust cutouts. why would you even consider a car which has stuff thats not functiional. geta suzuki bike.its the only thing suzuki thats good.

  • @sevstate The pipe SURROUNDS are just there for the VISUAL effect, but the dual exhaust pipes and functional dual exhaust is REAL. GET IT BONEHEAD? REAL? Get a real brain, the one you currently have not functional LMAO! FAIL!

  • Kizashi is better looking than Corola,Civic or any other car in this category....but it is sad that they sold only 532 units in oktober and november....

  • @gigimanjo They didn't start their advertizing campaign for Kizashi until December, so the numbers will pick up.

  • same platform as the cruze?

  • @fortziii Nope it's not the same platform of the Cruze or any other vehicle. Kizashi is a brand new platform that is All Suzuki, and it doesn't share that platform with any other car at the moment. Very soon though Suzuki will be using that platform for a new MPV as well as the next generation XL7. Additionally, Volkswagen and Audi are also going to use the Kizashi platform for upcoming new models of their own.

  • This is a nice car but im not a big fan of that grill....I like and hope they come out with the kizashi 3 concept which would be a big competitor in the car industry

  • I love this car. When can i have good fortune to have it?

  • Please japanese model MT

  • I just bought a 2011 Kizashi S, AWD model. I hope that it's everything every one of you say it is.

  • it looks like last years Jetta

  • Just went and test droe the new Sport model SLS. It has some nice additions to it over the non-sport. Main thing you notice in person is that it's lower to the ground. But it's not just a height drop, the suspension is actually tuned a bit differently too, it has more aggressive cornering ability and such. Inside it goes a bit more sporty too. Apparently Suzuki is already testing an in-house turbo version. Road Race makes a turbo for it too, those will be available at the dealer!

  • @racers115 Yeah I saw a turbo version Kizashi, I'm pretty sure it was the Road Race one. They had it putting out 300hp. As far as the factory turbo, I read about that too on a Japanese forum. Looks like they are developing 2 versions, both of them 4 cylinders, one runs on gasoline the other is a turbo diesel. The GDI is being tested with a dual clutch auto transmission, rather than the CVT.

  • wow i thought kizashi would be another midsize cheap alternative, but now i see that they're serious and they do it WELL! OMIGOSH THIS IS THEIR BEST ATTEM,P YET AND THEY ARE BULLSEYE. i love this car

  • turbo would be a good idea. i like the exhaust outlets built into the bumper too. you dont see them too often.

  • Funny how all the negative comments about this car get spamed

  • i proud to be working in suzuki

  • suzuki needs to reinvent their logo

  • His shirt is stupid. I am glad Suzuki is coming out with this.

  • logo - icon "S" Suzuki who drew = invented her , in 1987 from Russia man ???

  • put a SR20DET in it and it will be cool

  • @c0uchsl0uch ... Yes it is.

  • I have one of this and its really nice the car really surprised me

  • I might end up buying a Mazda but will consider this car

  • I can buy Accord / Altima / 2011 Sonata / Kizashi .. But definitely a NO NO for camry.. I am 25 and i don't want to be seen in a Camry !!!!

  • Suzuki IS AWESOME!!

  • This looks like a nice car

  • Good review there , Don!

  • suzuki is beast in europe!!!

  • beautiful car!!!

  • I heard they are making a V6 version of the Kizashi. Is that true?

  • @ZSwierczynski There was a V6 test mule of Kizashi that had a GM engine in it, but Suzuki dumped GM so no GM V6 for Kizashi. Suzuki is now partners with Volkswagen though, so it's possible Kizashi will get a VW V6 or hybrid system. It goes both ways though, the next VW (Rocktan) and the next Audi (Q1) will both be based on a Suzuki platform, the SX4. VW wants to use Kizashi platfrom for a new VW MPV too.

  • I got lucky and got one as a rental car, brand new too. I was amazed at the comfort and pick up this car has. I has to keep looking at the emblem to make sure this was a suzuki. Now hopefully they pick up on the tuner world and release a turbo charged version. This car has great potential and good looks.

  • excellent reviewer !

  • I drove a kizashi as soon as it came out its impressive if your looking for cheap luxary.

He mentions about the Samarai it turned into the sidekick and then to the Grand vitara.

regardless the kizashi is a very practical car

  • A kizashi is like a small katana .The name make sense as lots of Suzuki's are related to ninja's environnement.I actually own a suzuki's car my second one in a row.I also own a mazda wich is my third one. Both are reliable but i prefer by far driving my suzuki.

  • Better than a Lexus!!!

  • Kizashi ROCKS!

  • thats a sexy motorcycle

  • Suzuki got its feet wet with the sx4, now this should help put their name on the radar.

  • I don't really find the name strange, it sounds cool and slick on the tongue. Take this scenario for example:

"Hey what kind of car do you drive?"

    "A Kizashi."

    "...A what?"

    "...You heard me."

  • i dont think the name is strange just because its different...its a japanese car ..camry is japanese....but i too was skeptical because its not a big brand name but boy am i glad im not just a following sheep anymore the kizashi is a great car excellent handling no regrets looks better than a lot of brands outthere who just running off of name but name dont make them better...kizashi rocks

  • Good car, good for Suzuki, it deserves the best!

  • Damn this bloke left out so much about this car! I looked and sat in this car at a auto show and the standard what you get in this car at 25 grand, would be in the 35 to 50 grand cars.8 airbags, awd, projector beam headlamps, rear and side impact airbags, timing chain,no power steering fluid...think about it.Thats why whey always talk about how this car corners! The one big thing about this car is compliant with the 2014 NHTSA requirements new cars will have to meet.

  • me like alot! in australia they have an offer that if you test drive a suzuki kizashi and change your mind and buy one of its direct rivals,

suzuki will give you 200 dollars cash!!!

    TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!

And there might be a v6 and diesel model coming later on!

A V6 all wheel drive kizashi (with a few after market trinkets) bring it on!

  • Suzuki keeps coming out with great cars that provide great value at a very competative price! First the Aerio which came loaded with features that cost thousands more on other cars, then the SX4 lowest priced AWD car in America, and now Kizashi, I just test drove one after testing a Ford Fusion and Hyundai Sonata SE, and there's no question, the Kizashi KILLS both of those cars in handling! This is a true drivers car, only cars like Audi A4 and up can compare.

  • @adamizorrr the kizashi is a beatiful car but I would pick the fusion over it just for the quality

  • @Travide lol @ nonexistent Ford quality

  • i think the tsx look better, the legacy look pretty damn good too. i'm not saying the kizashi is ugly, it's looks great but there's just something about it that makes me want one

  • not aggressive you people say as oppose to a Lexus, or a Audi, piff there is absolutely nothing even mildly aggressive about any of this car's competition. this is a good design and try by Suzuki, way more ambitious looking than any of its competitors and the lowered turbo version looks great. this car is hotter than most of its lame box competition, just face it. Suzuki didn't inject another stupid lame boring looking vehicle that needs a badge to sell into the segment, thank you Suzuki.

  • took the words right out of my mouth turbo that badboy up and you'll surprise a lot of bmw and lexus onwers and acura your included!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want a wagon/hatch version

  • Comment removed

  • It looks abit like the vw jetta

  • looks like VW

  • idk what to think about this

  • the dude looks more aggressive than the car

  • i always knew suzuki will came out with something greater nowdays...despise the crappy sx4, kizashi its the one....i know its their lot of great cars in competition, but this one will be the top of the line.....

  • nice looking car.... since im a gixxer owner... this seems right ..

  • Wow... Seem it's good in handling :)

  • id buy one if it was turboed

  • @jjskater16 Most likely you will get what you want because they decided not to go with the GM V6, so looks like they are gonna make the turbo-4 instead.

  • @jjskater16 you can add a turbo. suzuki's have strong motors in the past and do have some tuning parts available.

  • Good looking vehicle. I'm considering this car.

  • This guy is trying to make a point people! He's right its a great sedan, it should be their best seller, but still probably wont sell well becuase of that S badge, but if it wore a vw or honda badge it would sell like crazy!!!!

  • yay the car i jus bought

  • haha I have a samurai!! THE BEST!!!!

  • I once was sitting at an intersection with my dad, just sitting in the corner waiting for my mom to stop chattering with my great aunt, and a Suzuki car drove by making the sweetest engine noise ever.

  • Buy this car! If $25k is your budget you will not find a better car. I have had Volvo's Audi's BMW's down to a Mazda 3. Of course Suzuki is not well known but you can't beat this car for the money!

  • Fantastic little car with alot of extras that give great thought into purchasing your next vehicle. Why? because of everything that guy mentioned, with an army of Civics, Camrys, and Accords running around the neighborhood, why not stand out and be different? isnt that what buying a car is all about? not following what everybody else has? i stood by those sayings and always try to get something that fits me, not everybody else. The AWD will definitely set itself apart from other FWD sedans.

  • #1 THIS dude is big. #2 Excellent Review! What this guy said is DEAD ON! He said "you can do something different and stand out from the crowd" which is EXACTLY why i would get this car! I've looked @ Cam, Acc, and even Sonata, Tsx, Is. im lookin for fuel economy but a car thats not to big. Tsx gets 31 mph on hgwy but thats prem fuel. Is is RWD. I live n NE, Dont need one! Camry and Acc are LIMITED in their color schemes that i would prefer. If that Big S is a prob just Debadge it. N.P.

  • I just found out Suzuki is offering an increadible lease deal on the Kizashi S, and Kizashi SE. You can get the S version for around $219 a month for 48 months, but you gotta get it before March 1st, that is when the deal ends. That's an increadible deal for someone that wants to get into a Kizashi but can't afford the payments on a $20,000 car loan! All the info is available at the Suzuki website.

  • nicest suzuki car...theyre coming along...their bikes and quads are decent...and those little samurais have a cult following...this kizashi is a nice looking little car...proably fun to drive...im too cheap to ever buy a new car...if i spend 25k on a car...it better be from the late 60s with a big block in it...

  • i know im only 18, but i owned a 93 sidekick for a year, and now a 96 sidekick sport. They are one of the coolest vehicles i know and i plan to drive suzuki my whole life if possible. Now that i see the new Grand Vitaras and now this Kizashi, i have a feeling i will be set for a while with good quality and nice lookin' rides!

  • Suzuki announced that its new 2010 Suzuki Kizashi, the companys first entry into the all-wheel-drive sedan segment, earned THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE RATING by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash tests. The 2010 Kizashi was awarded a 5-star rating in both the frontal and side-impact crash tests for ALL seating positions.

  • Although I agree that the car is well balanced with the 4-cyl, there are alot of people that prefer a V6 no matter what. I already know several people are going to wait for the current V6 test mule to hit production. As for the $17,000+, I was refering to a YEAR END CLOSE OUT, not what the car goes for right now. Those types and amounts are common for Suzuki year end sales. So Jan/Feb of 2011 an S version with all rebates and a little nego is entirely realistic.

  • It's nice to see all the little guys like Suzuki and KIA stepping up their game with all these nice new cars.

  • BOTTOM LINE:

The name is strange, but the ride/handling balance is dead-on. The attractive Kizashi picks up the ball dropped by the Acura TSX and Subaru Legacy. --Edmunds Inside Line Review--

  • @JetBlueIce

Makes sense. Suzuki is a japanese name, and Kizashi makes sense.

  • @TheNewMrCool What Edmonds Inside Line was refering to was the fact that both Acura TSX and Subaru Legacy have become SUPERSIZED and because of that their handling has suffered. Same goes for Mazda6. Suzuki picked up the ball dropped by those brands with the Kizashi, it's a premuim compact mid-sized sedan that out-handles all of the competition.

  • Did he say it had a "high ass?" lmao

  • that's what i heard lol

  • Why yes, I refer to the rear of my car as the ass as well, don't you?! Haha.

  • Nice car and nice video quality as well. Great.

  • These new Kizashis are really nice looking. He's got a point when he says "why buy a Camry, Altima, or Accord when you could buy a Kizashi and stand out". I agree completely. At least this car has some agressive looks and competent performance. My biggest rant? the $20K+ starting price. Just out of reach for me. Oh well, maybe I'll wait to find a nice red, 6-speed one on the used market in a couple years!

  • Or wait for the closeout sales at the end of 2010, Kizashi starts at $18,995 for the Kizashi S, you can knock about $1000 to $1500 off for year end closeout, then there is a $1500 same as cash rebate too, you could probably get into a Kizashi-S for around $17k if you work all the deals ;)

  • couldn't lay down a v6?!

  • doesn't need one its 4 cyl makes more power than my HA27 V6 in my suzuki XL-7 , The HA27 is an old concept if it was refined it would probly make 200 hp.

  • Suzuki already has a V6 Kizashi, it's still in testing phase but it should be available between summer and fall of 2010.
