he's probably doing a better job than anyone else could. put andy did such a good job that it is hard to forget. gannicus became a legend very quick but he was a new fresh character. it's going to be hard to fill andys shoes but having some good writing would help. this season seems to be very poor story wise in relation to the previous 2 seasons.
Andy Whitfield was so perfect for the role. New Spartacus is a good actor, but when he said the words "I am Spartacus!" I was just thinking "no your not'' :,( RIP Andy.
Whitfield had an everyman quality about him and is the definitive Spartacus imo.
But McIntyre is doing a good job, I believe him as Spartacus but am more worried about the current series lack of direction, the writing falls well short of the first two series..

Saw the first episode last night. Im sorry but the show is so lacking without Andy. Its like all the actors, even though the same, are just stumbling around trying to work with this new guy but it just doesnt work. @30calcowboy well you can watch the first episode by going to the offical facebook page and clicking a link to it or going to the starz websie, and as for the bringing back of people that have died they dont really show people who have died already unless its a memory from the past but you will be surprised who they bring back in the first episode! Losing Andy is such a tragedy. Not that I'm comparing his role on a TV show to the man's life on the same level, but in terms of the show his loss is tremendous. He WAS Spartacus. It's not fair to Liam whatsoever that he has to be judged upon Andy's legacy in the role. But I mean, it is what it is. I'm going to be glued this season, but it's going to be hard seeing someone else play the role.

Watching the other trailers it looks like Dustin Clare returns! Loved that character. On topic of this video though one thing I like is that Liam is not trying to be Andy's Spartacus. Andy completely dominated that role...it's so sad that he passed away. I do think they should have let Liam bulk up though. I don't have Starz, But I'm a HUGE fan of the series. I have to wait until the season DVD comes out to watch them.

I think he will do good, I will miss Andy a lot.. but I think that will give Liam more to prove himself as Spartacus. like Andy he is also a new actor trying to shine too... I will give him a chance.. hopefully I like it, because is not the nude scene what I like, it was Andy's performance, he gave soul to Spartacus.

I think any fan of the show will agree that he wont live up to andy but we need to support him, I mean come on think if it was the other way around where liam mclntyre was the first spartacus and andy whitfield was the one takeing over we would all bitch about it, I know it will be kinda awkward seeing him take over for a while but i think we will all get used to him, HE MAY NOT BE AS GOOD AS ANDY BUT I THINK IT WILL STILL BE A KICK ASS SHOW!

I like Liam as Spartacus, its gonna be awesome! From watching all the trailers, my anticipation and excitement for the show has not changed a bit even more excited, its really what counts. Change and all from technology to character, its gets better with Vengeance.

Watching the other trailers it looks like Dustin Clare returns! Loved that character. On topic of this video though one thing I like is that Liam is not trying to be Andy's Spartacus. Andy completely dominated that role...it's so sad that he passed away. I do think they should have let Liam bulk up though. I don't have Starz, But I'm a HUGE fan of the series. I have to wait until the season DVD comes out to watch them.
