European cars are the best, love the 3 door astra, getting it real soon. And the acceleration IS actually really good with the 2.0T or 1.6T 3door astra, better than most in the same class, it does 0-62 in just above 7 seconds.

I have the 2 Door XR manual and I LOVE this car! Great handling, breaking, and even fuel economy. I got 35.6 mpg while going home to Indiana! Took this car to SCCA events and I did very well for a stock car, and on curvy roads it is amazing! I want to get another one so badly! I do hope that it comes here under another badge, but not messed with at all. Here's to hoping for that one day!

I will never forgive GM for killing Saturn. I wanted an Astra, but GM decided to screw up and kill a good brand. That, and they aren't bringing Opel's cars over here.

I was close to get getting this gen in the U.S. (Saturn) last summer (2010). Not cause I like Saturn but I like the Astra is obviously a badged Opel. Lack of good income or stable income I didn't. But I see a decent amount of models where I am. Nice car. I like the new version as welll.

I own an 2005 Astra GTC 2.0 Turbo 200cv for 2 years and i love the car. It's sad, that GM didn't sell the GTC/OPC in US, even the station wagon, which has 60% at the German market of all Astras. I'm wondering, that GM so late sell the Astra in the US, because here in Europe it's on the market since 2004. We've got also the successor since 2009... GM sucks. Great car! As good as VW Golf/Rabbit but much cheaper! I will buy the successor in a few years, comming with a 2.0 Turbo 290cv ^^

This car is sold with overprice in the name what generates more costs to the customers, and again more overprice to the real price.

The car is called here as Vectra which is a car similar to Malibu, but our fake Vectra comes without GPS, and comes with first Gen Cavalier engine from the 80's. Price? US$: 42,331.

I agree. Saturn isn't promoting this car enough. The only one I saw was at a dealership in Feburary.
