Archon Tahril (Dark Eldar Commander) - He is probably the best commander in Soulstorm, played the part well, psycho in his speech and a weird voice.

Necron Lord - He should have not said anything.

Farseer Caerys - She really doesent care for her people and she thinks she is powerfull,,, Bitch!

Commander Boreal - I laughed so hard when I hear his first words come out, everything he said in the intro is like he has no idea what & why he said it.

Dark Crusade was the pinnacle of the series, Soulstorm was terribly written and acted compared to it, and it improved on the solid original and Winter Assault

the commanders in DC were also at their best - Gorgutz and Eliphas were the outstanding ones, seeing Carrion and this version of Gorgutz makes me sad

Agreed. Soulstorm was so awful that in DoW II when the subject is brought up, the marines are reluctant to talk about it at all, claiming it was a mistake and almost destroyed the chapter. Cyrus finishes the conversation by stating that he shan't talk of it again.

The problem was that the makers the game was outsourced to went bankrupt about halfway through and so what was released was unfinished.

I love how it's evident Gorgutz has gotten a lot more cynical over the campaigns he's won or lost. Before, he'd probably be the one designing the stronghold. Now he lets his second-in-command do it for him, and doubts his abilities ("Say dey beat all dat.") Character development. It is... lovely.

Orks travel through space either on looted enemy ships or on space hulks, which are basically huge mountains of space junk and debris that accumulate in the Warp.

Ghazghkull reached Armageddon on a space hulk; while it was travelling through the Warp, the power failed several times and the hulk came under assault from loads of daemons.

Ghazghkull and his boyz got plenty of battle experience through fighting them off.

Orks don't suffer from age. They just grow bigger and stronger; the only thing that stops them being immortal is the high probability of getting killed in battle or through a fight with another Ork.

Gorgutz is probably just very cynical. Then again I didn't really like the story of Soulstorm that much, and I prefer thinking that the DoW series just finished with Dark Crusade and then picked up again with DoW 2.
