@d4t4wx You are quite right, who the hell does that 'driving around in circles' donkey think he is, i have seen Michelle in action both in the UK and in Europe (that would be 'England' and 'France' Bobby), she is a tremendous driver who very nearly won the World rally championship in 1984, if you get the chance, get to The Goodwood festival of speed, it's every July and EVERY race driver and car you can think of is there. P.s i have an original ur quattro, i never put the radio on either.....

Colin Chapman of Lotus personally thought the Indy roadsters were built with 1930's racecar technology.

The Lotus looked like some spaceship in comparison.

Very true. Michèle Mouton really showed off that women can drive rally cars too just as much as men and even better. I remember how they had pretty intense exchange of words with Walter Röhrl who won the championship in 1982. Probably the most stupid comment I've ever heard so far in history of rallying was Walter Röhrl's statement for Michéle Mouton that "Even a trained monkey could drive rally with Audi." I think Röhlr was just jealous when he had to drive with RWD Opel... :D

A woman with a calculator for example, would be able to come up with answers to complicated maths problems faster than a man without one. Your right, the video is about the quattro, but comparing Michèle Mouton to a woman with a calculator competing against a man without one is a bit ridiculous, she came in a close second to Röhrl in the 1982 Championship and won three rallies that year. I was there in 1985 and saw Michelle drive that car. To me it was probably one of the greatest moments in motorsports. A true triumph of incredible technology and incredible driving. For it to be done by a beautiful woman in a little 'door-slammer' that looked like a 'grocery-getter' was absolutely beyond belief!!!

The Quattro is the equivelent to the Nissan Skyline GT-R, with their big turbos and AWD system. The GT-R was also banned from Australia touring cars because of its abillity to kill anything you put up against it.

Quattro was the first the daddy addy all others are the kids of it incl.Skyline. Skyline dominated only unimportend Aussi Toring car race series. Quattro rocked the world at the same time. 4 WRC Rally world champion titel, winning TransAm, DTM,STW, successfull at IMSA GTO, 1996 the most successfull single season Touringcar of all time, winning 7 championships all around the world the reason why FIA banned quattro from racing and not only in a single race series in Aussi

Sorry doofus, the skyline wasn't banned, and certainly not by Australians.

It existed for group A touring car racing; post 1992ish Group A was scrapped as a worldwide formula (hence BTCC, JGTC, DTM etc formulas appearing). It was a racecar without a race then, just like the M3s, Sierras, commodores and so forth.

Group A touring was only adopted so there could be a FIA World Touring Car Championship in 1987. Bernie and the boys made short work of cancelling the series during it's 1st year, WAY too much of a threat to F1 -- coincidentally they also banned Group B for the same reason in 1986. The Group A Skyline was banned from Australian racing when a V8 only formula was adopted in 1993. It was specifically to get rid of the Nissan. Gp A was also cancelled in Japan because of "godzilla".
