CPU has the egde in everyway even if your gr8est MK player of all time. btw i hit caps lock wen i started typing and was too lazy to rewrite it.
There's a way to make it play just like mk3/umk3/mkt did just simply go to handicap and turn it to the lowest it can go and then moves and combos are easily performed and the opponent will go a little easier on you hoped this helped fans

the funniest thing happened when I played this today I was using ermac to fight jade and both had low health and I beat her and she fell and ermac did his win pose but before she fell she used her boomerang and it came back and while ermac was in his win pose he was hit and the screen froze and said DRAW even though I won.
And just yesterday I figuered out how to beet this game on grand master tower on its hardest with rain. even crappy games can be dominated

When I heard that MK 3 was going to ported over to the GBA, I was suspicious and had a hunch that it was going to be a terrible port. But little did I realize just HOW bad it would turn out to be. You know what the most pathetic thing is? Not only did EGM give it a 0.0 but X-Play managed to give it a 4out 5! What the hell?!
A 2 outta 10 is too generous. This game was horrible. They purposely made it a bad game and just slapped an MK logo on it. It's not MK. It's an abomination.

1.49 it would be nice if it had additional features, but its not needed, another good thing is after you have unlocked the secret characters it saves them
if you ask me it just as shit as umk3 because the ai after the third fight in that is a fuckin disgrace whats the diffrance there both anoying bullshit and should be burned never to return.
I mean, it's the GBA so you can't expect everything to be arcade perfect. Graphics were fine for GBA, controls were weird but playable if you learned the new buttons, etc. Music was limited, too, but I didn't expect everything to be Arcade-perfect for the GBA. The real problem was the AI, which they easily could have fixed. It was so bad, and so very unfair.
Actually the box with no character depends what tower you fight. Warrior gives you Human Smoke. And the other towers are everyone else. He forgot also that if you play with the girls notice if you kick the girls make the same attack noise as the guys. I had this game and what I did to win is get the computer in the corner and just keep pressing the punch button, it works with all ninjas, trust me I tried it.
...I feel terrible for myself. I bought this hoping for a good game and it was so fucking bad. The only way I could ever beat it was with Stryker and his broken ass gun attack.
i was never that impressed with the gba to begin with, i thought "looks almost as good as the mega drive"
also i dont think it works to compare this to special forces as this is only a port, and if i was to compare it i would say "umk3 is much better than special forces"
It sucks to win by trapping your opponent in the wall.
And I got to Shao Kahn and beat him by spamming the rocket move by Sektor and when I finally beat it I got Shao Kahn and when I turned my GBA off he was gone...
yeah when that mk game for ds came out almost made me want to get a ds but, I didn't bother cause I love the psp not to mention I have mk1 - mk3 in the palm of my hands but still doesn't feel the same to not have the rest of the characters and stages oh well =)

There are a few other goof ups as well such as
1) You fight Motaro on any random stage not his lair
2) When you get to Shao Kahn it looks like there are more enemies in the ladder
3) Shao Kahn doesn't die in an epic explosion like MK3 and UMK3
4) When Shao Kahn is defeated The game automatically gives you the characters ending instead of finding lost treasures
5) Classic Sub-Zeros Ice Breath Fatality is just Reptiles Acid Spit Move just in Blue.

yeah... both iof them are there... its a big roster in the gba version exactly like the arcade and psone version... it worth the money u pay for it... no matter what amounts its fun as fuck!!

It's been ages since I played this. I didn't even notice that the walking animations don't look right whenever some characters walk backwards. And yeah, UMK on DS is freaking amazing. It has a bit of slowdown here and there, but it's otherwise quite faithful to the arcade.

i grew up playing this game, and i of course wasted money on this game. i am far from good at it, but the easiest mode is impossible for me. I cant not play an MK game, but this is close..

When I heard that MK 3 was going to ported over to the GBA, I was suspicious and had a hunch that it was going to be a terrible port. But little did I realize just HOW bad it would turn out to be. You know what the most pathetic thing is? Not only did EGM give it a 0.0 but X-Play managed to give it a 4out 5! What the hell?!

I mean, it's the GBA so you can't expect everything to be arcade perfect. Graphics were fine for GBA, controls were weird but playable if you learned the new buttons, etc. Music was limited, too, but I didn't expect everything to be Arcade-perfect for the GBA. The real problem was the AI, which they easily could have fixed. It was so bad, and so very unfair.

Actually the box with no character depends what tower you fight. Warrior gives you Human Smoke. And the other towers are everyone else. He forgot also that if you play with the girls notice if you kick the girls make the same attack noise as the guys. I had this game and what I did to win is get the computer in the corner and just keep pressing the punch button, it works with all ninjas, trust me I tried it.

i was never that impressed with the gba to begin with, i thought "looks almost as good as the mega drive"
also i dont think it works to compare this to special forces as this is only a port, and if i was to compare it i would say "umk3 is much better than special forces"

I was an idiot for buying this krap.
It sucks to win by trapping your opponent in the wall.
And I got to Shao Kahn and beat him by spamming the rocket move by Sektor and when I finally beat it I got Shao Kahn and when I turned my GBA off he was gone...
This game sucks.

yeah when that mk game for ds came out almost made me want to get a ds but, I didn't bother cause I love the psp not to mention I have mk1 - mk3 in the palm of my hands but still doesn't feel the same to not have the rest of the characters and stages oh well =)
