  • im sry for my stupid comment..

i just meant that i like manring more than jaco, his style, his sound everything,

  • @BearWithDreads

No need to be sorry:) Michael is excellent, I tend to like Jaco more, you like Manring more.

  • Jaco in heaven will join in as he hears this music. He'll say "It ain't bragging, man. Some real stuff going on!!!" and smile)))

  • all this compares with jaco..

    manring is better than jaco

  • @BearWithDreads And you are an idiot!

  • @pleximanic thx now i know what i am

  • @BearWithDreads :ehm....what????????????????????????they are different, stop!don't stay these stupid things please...

  • @BearWithDreads

I disagree, except with "all this compares to Jaco" well it should, as Jaco was the guy who changed the way the bass is played and perceived. Manring was a student of Jaco and Jaco, if alive would most likely like this.

As for Manring being better? well he's better than you or I.

  • @jjaaccoo or, not to burst your bubble, his immodesty would take over and he'd try to outdo Manring, which he may well be able to, or maybe not.

  • @BlackMaidenTallica

Jaco dealt with 2 large egos in jazz, Shorter, Zawinul, Zawinul said, "three forceful personalities, totally different, nobody giving an inch, yet all together." Your word, "immodestly" is what drove Jaco to the heights of groundbreaking jazz w/electric bass. Bursting my bubble is not the issue, it's looking back in jazz history and realizing the importance of Jaco's contribution and to a much lesser extent Michael Manring. Jaco outdoing Manring is not the issue either.

  • He use to play with Jaco, Stanley Jordon, awesome etc, but this is a fretless bass. This is his older stuff, check out the newer tunes, like Teen Town, Helios etc.

  • This is incredible

  • @beanflea12 NOT

  • This reminds me of Stanley Jordan. It is not flawless by any means but it is still mind blowing. For these lads, two hands sound like 4. I would be happy being able to play just half of this piece.

  • Awesome music! I love music without overdubs or anything fancy.

  • Oh my God, great performance.

Best solo since we lost Jaco.

    Peace and Sound

  • Jaco wrote pretentious crap with out any substance at all. He is/was the worlds most overrated bass player.

  • @TheAmazingUploader You must think slap bass is the epotime of soul. Weather report had no lyrics in there songs so it wasnt a matter of shallow "friday" type subject matter. Manring is a cover artist how in the hell is that substance. Nobody with any sense would put jaco in the company of noodlers like Wooten, Miller and Manring. Jaco's inprov had imensely more feeling than the aforementioned technical players. ***Cringe!!!***

  • @Wilbursson Jaco still only wrote prententious crap.

  • @XicoFlavio

Jaco will turn in his grave if he heard this CRAP !
