power pro oddities: james loney is faster than kinsler and t-plush COMBINED nl east has no greats ryan braun cant play 3B even as 2nd position franklin gutierrez sucks at fielding moises alou has great BA and average HR, yet his contact is C and power is B nelson cruz isnt in it nor has a great based on him fukudome is way too good brandon phillips is super slow and finally... no matter how many flashy ps3 games with amazing graphics i play, none ever seem more fun than mlb power pros 08 BUY IT

Awesome series I hope they NEVER go to 3-D on the consoles. The DS version of this is in 3-D and it clearly had lost it's "2-D sprite based charm".

jus to make things clear, u can actually swing the wii remote like its a bat and swing ur arm in a pitching motion in this game, cuz im trying to find a game like the one on wii sports but not jus for 3 innings and that lets u field and run the bases urself

This game is insanely awesome! There is practically nothing you can't customize, and its just pure awesome. Little League '08 is the next best because it has the best Wii Controls.

I agree with your opening comments. I found MLB 09 for PSP to be completely unplayable. I got Power Pros 2008 for the DS and love it. As soon as I get a Wii, I'm getting both Power Pros and Power Pros 2008 for it.

The first two World Series games on the Saturn were kind of like this. Tommy LaSorda on the Genny was too. Just pitch and swing. One of the best baseball games ever.

This game puts the supposedly "more realistic" ones to shame in terms of play control, options, and overall handling. The best baseball game I've played since days of Bases Loaded and RBI Baseball on the NES.

I was happy with everything only to find out you can't play a regular game with motion controls. The only mode using motion controls is a waste and you win by who ever scores first

this was a pretty informational review. I would think most gamers of this gen would be taken off by the visuals of this game(like me heh) I might rent it and compare it to Mario Sluggers coming later(nudge for a review when it comes)

As for the next review, I think you should stay serious, though it depends on what game you plan on reviewing next(for example, I think you should be doing a funny review on another kart rip-off)

I've read alot of good things about this series (power pros) I never liked the art style but If it could be played as wii sports baseball I'd say get it because I've never thought baseball games were fun untill the wii came out and even though it would take less technique to play it's more fun swing the controler in a baseball game than pressing the same button to bat and moving a joystick..........
