  • it will either get stuck at the final magnet or at the bottom pusher magnet

  • хуйня

  • anyone tried___ w w w diymagneticmotor com ?

  • My curiousity would lead me to... Well, how about if you put something on the exact other side of the CD with the same amount of weight but that is not magnetized, like lead. Perhaps it would go longer and maybe if all magnets were angled in just the right position. Then would it work? Hmm... (As I wait for a silly little hater to try to de-bunk me and call me an idiot!) lol

  • "Even the Majestic Oak was once a NUTT who stood his ground."

Experiment all you can while you still can. The knowledge that there are those of us trying, helps me to keep trying, and discovery should not be a corporate enterprise, rather the enterprise of the individual. Whether those discoveries are in art, electronics, the environment, or.. dare we say, free or low cost energy? If we can share the secrets and make those secrets simple to reproduce, we can stop argueing and start doing.

  • This will not work because it's perfectly balanced. You're getting the same energy input to speed up the machine as you're getting to slow it down, minus the tiny amount of resistance you're getting to also slow it down. So it will slow down slightly more than it will speed up, and is no different to removing all the magnets/weight and just have a spinning wheel. You need it to not have balanced forces so it speeds up significantly more than it slows down.

  • Perpetual motion is prohibited by the laws of physics. This "motor" could never work.

  • @OlsenEngrUToob ...know anyone who has ever broken a law?

  • @waterforfuel I did... was in jail 5 years for it

  • @clintautin that's a lie unless you give me specifics....

  • @OlsenEngrUToob yea... and they made videos of them. They are on yourtube.. so if you can't find them then no one expects you to do anything to help. So put your money where your mouth is. For every video I show you that breaks a law of physics you owe me 1,000$ USD. I'll break you from being stoopid.

  • ___ w w w diymagneticmotor com has FREE energy plans ~A+

  • Maybe try shielding one of the poles on that bottom magnet so it don't repel as much. you can find videos of magnet shielding on You Tube.

  • I spose for naysayers furzeham, if you convince college students or the govt to give you millions in tuition/tax dollars so you could have a multimillion dollar facility/equipment & a PhD, you might be able to do just as well.. I actually liked how the *unexpected* happened (disc falling off you put it back in a diff position) & it worked! Interesting how many things in science are discovered this way, I remember a certain fellow had observed an apple falling from a tree and.. :D

  • that sucked, why did you put this out on youtube

  • @furzeham The only obstacle between you and the centuries old goal of Perpetual Motion, a few cheap magnets, so near but so far.

  • nice idea

  • I was hoping to see a practical approach to the gravity approach. One other video here shows a magnetic v gate going up around like you have here and then gravity takes over.

  • get some physics lessons and dont try to do engineers work without needen knowledge people, we dont study 4-5 years just to get a paper, we really understand how this world works, you dont, perpetuum mobile doesnt exist

  • it's always the same that someone sees one thing that "generates" energy but is clearly forgetting all other elements in the system that need to be fed with energy to work...

it is nice as a playing with magnets, keep it up, I just hope you won't end in posting youtube videos with caption "free energy"... :)

  • Very Intresting !

  • Oh man. what?

  • wow, theres 4 mins and 17 seconds that ill never get back.

  • the explanation was very good, demonstrating not much!

  • The trick to capturing the energy from a moving magnet is to transfer its inertia gathered while falling into a magnetic well out of that well with a nonmagnetic object which is not subject to the drag pulling it back in to the well, or gate as some would call it.

  • It can't work as a motor, because you have forgotten to put the magnetic fields into harmonic resonances.

  • interesting

  • you should put it on the floor, not the wall then gravity won't make you screw up

  • idiot

  • Kinetic energy of the disc is increased as two magnets move closer but the energy is decreased as magnets move away. In one half rotation kinetic energy is gained by gravity but in the second half, the energy is lost. There is energy transfer between magnets, the momentum of the disc and gravity within the system but the system itself is not gaining any net energy. Over time all energy put into the system to start the disc rotating will be lost due to friction.

  • 3:08 = FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when the energy YOU put into it by pushing it runs out, it will stop as there is both a push and a pull happening each time it passes by a manget.

  • This is how UFO's get around I bet.

  • @Probewitch ??? You believe UFO's get around using a motor made out of a compact disc and magnets that only turns if someone pushes it with their hand and which is so poorly constructed that if often falls apart? You have a pretty low opinion of the Aliens who construct the things then! LOL!!

  • Yawn. Not going to work. For very obvious reasons.

  • Did you screw it on your bathroom wall???

  • ROFL

  • How about some basic physics.....

  • if you tune it right it will work real well i tested this and it works good took alot of tuning.

  • PLEASE.... tell me this is a joke

  • FAIL!

  • Keep the disk stationary, Spin the magnets on the outside.

  • the reason why doesn't work here:

    watch?v=KQYG27ATo5o

  • lol what an idiot

  • what is the point of posting a video of a poorly constructed machine which fails to operate?

  • have you considered getting a track and having north poles of magnets faceing the corners, then having a mechanical system to twist the magnet as it moves around the track, therefore having it accelerate around corners? just a random thought from me

  • is this supposed to be a comedic video, because it's hilarious. Especially the part where the disc falls off, and he says "whoops!" hahahaha funny stuff !

  • bro, try changing the degree of the stable magnets faces , dont keep 90*direct contact with the stable magnet and rotating magnet ,try 45* where one side of the magnet will pull and the other side will just pust to another ,. and try using some powerful magnets ,

  • lol

  • que lixo!!!!só fez perder tempo nesse video comprido.

  • mistake he is doing is he isnt using the opposite poles on all the magnets around the field , each magnet needs to attrach and push the discs magnet continously not just have " throws"

  • No, no, no. This stuff is garbage. What he proposes violates both the first and second law of thermodynamics. You can't get something for nothing. All energy must be accounted for. That's the first law. The second law limits the amount you can actually recover.

    Sam

    Chemical Engineer.

  • u people always use the word thermodynamics , people insisted the world was flat wud it wasnt

  • move the down magnet more down and wil work with help oof inertia ;)

  • I believe very light wind can help sway the bottom magnet and make the CD turning very often, if it is not exactly forever. If this system generates some pulses of high voltage through the Tesla coil, the voltage may feed back to sway the single magnet at the bottom to assist the effect of light wind for the system.

  • ur kiddin right ? man sell ur camera and make a dencent rig :D

  • If this were actually possible it would have been discovered by someone who is actually intelligent. Fact of the matter is, what you propose breaks the first law of thermodynamics.

  • if it was ever going to work the positioning of the magnets would be very critical

  • it would work forever if you used electromagnets - putting electrical energy into the system.

However, just with magnets will not continue forever - you are putting energy into the system in the form of magnetizing the magnets, and taking it out in the form of demagnetizing the magnets.

  • yeah but demagnetizing a magnet can take a thousand years...lol... and then they just need replaced and restarted

  • if you replace the outer magnets with electromagnets and pulsed them on in sequence it'll keep going forever......

but that's a stepper motor nothing special about that

it will never work no matter how many magnets you have or anything

please just give up now so you can look back at this and laugh once you understand the science, rather than being laughed at

  • It's not behaving terrible well, because it's a terrible design...however you do have one good feature...vertical disk with gravity help on lock-up force. I would like to help you out significantly...since you have the proper vertical disk "format". Place 4 or 8 rare earth magnets on the CD 90/45 degrees apart, and then the peripheral should be an iron-steel band. Do not place magnets on the peripheral. The band forming is difficult...band father then closer until the gravity lock-up point.

  • How do you make house payments when youre crazy? I need his job

  • fail XD

  • i'd use smaller magnets!

  • your wife is going to kill you when she finds out what you did to her bathroom tile.

  • $10.80 Under Funded, It Doesn't Work & It Fell A Part. LOL 3:08. Well Fuck It , Lets Post It Any Way.

  • If you don't have the magnets why make a vid that it doens't work? haha.

  • no matter if CD disc was burned with country music?

  • what kind of screws are you using to attach those on the tile?

  • Your right, its ok for hobbists to have ther fun... but in this universe we must obey the laws of thermodynamics!

  • I`m sorry , but no.

    It won`t keep rotating indefinently.

I`m not trying to be rude. It`s just no energy put into the system from anywhere.

A magnet is like a spring. It has no ability to produce work in and of itself.

  • Maybe a counter weight on the CD to help balance the CD out.

  • don't worry and take into account moronic critics. just do your research as I do mine

    cheers

  • I've never understood why all of the physics nerds on the internet insist on being killjoys. So what if the physics don't work. Let the guy enjoy his hobby! He might just stumble onto something one day. How many inventors throughout the years were considered fools by others.

  • Why is it that furseham deleted my comments concerning this half backed antiscience nonsense that he has deluded himself to believe is feasible? Is it because he is incapable of dealing with criticism or is it because he likes to censor comments that he can't answer?

I wonder how long this comment will last before he deletes it.

  • I think, this is because you can't do any experiments nor scientific work but only critique others. No one likes those who criticize anything and everything around. and you seem to belong to those criticizing circles

  • kkkkkk

  • i have a video in my channel that could help you

  • lol

  • great idea, but the replusive magnetic force at the bottom will give it a push but will also slow it a bit (nothing too major). another thing is that you need more magnets (as you said) and the magnets need to come somewhat closer to your repulsing magnet.

  • You will not get over unity using magnetic force. However you may get close to unity using magnetic force, i.e. increased efficiency. What you need to do is tap into free energy of the earth such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, waves, etc. etc. Natural energy exists all around us. We must learn how to store it and transmit it efficiently. Why waste time with magnets?

  • I can't disagree with you but it's just so much fun !!!

I don't actually beleive that overunity as such is possible but I do kno wthat we have heat pumps that are 450% efficient and solar panels that provide all the energy that you need for washing etc so why not let people play with other forces and who knows what interactions of these things may bring. Example: car, fix magnet on underside, opposite magnets in road - friction gone !!! neat huh ?

  • @furzeham so a magnetic train? >_> expensive and hard to make. VERY VERY COOL. Probably not made with CDs btw and needs a power source. This line of inquiry into magnet generators is very stupid messing with magnets = fun and neat but I am sure there are better goals then this idiocy

  • Comment removed

  • I agree making energy from nothing is definitely impossible, but if a machine is built that appears to produce zero-point or free energy, that excess energy could easily be coming from an as yet unknown source. Electricity was one of those unknowns until it was understood, and there are plenty more unknowns yet to be discovered.

  • @felicity5150 if u combine electro magnets and telsa technology we will be closer to free energy

  • @felicity5150 yes, that is stupid to limit yourself in such a way, but thats your choice. i think with all the diamagnetism, copper usage with magnets for power and of course lenz's law, something could possibly be accomplished

  • @felicity5150 the magnetic field of the earth is completely consistant. whereas the things you speak of are not as consistant. Wind is at times there, but not all wind is strong enough to create sufficient amounts of energy. Solar is not always there. You have clouds that block out the sun. If a volcano erupts, ash is thrown in the sky and then solar is irrelevant. Hydro is but isn't consistant.

  • @felicity5150 Not all places have a water source in it's backyard that is large enough to create a steady flow of energy. the thing about magnetic energy is that it is EVERYWHERE. even in the ocean. other types of energy such as the ones you mentioned are only 'all around us' in some areas. Overall Consistancy. Worldwide Consistancy. That's what we're looking for. Not regional consistancy. not sectional.

  • haha

  • when you make these things have it so it's impossible for the wheel to remain motionless. you don't want any aspect of momentum being used to bridge circumstances vital to its function.

  • huh?

  • in the perendev motor design, there's 3 misaligned wheels on an axel, and the repulsion is used rather than attraction. i was saying that if the wheel can be made motionless by holding it in a certain position and letting it go then the design isn't going to be storing the momentum it needs for powering a generator.

  • hmm I gonna buy some magnet's and try this if i have the permission from you ^^

  • fail

  • what rubbish. didn't you finish primary school?

  • double post, but the problem you will run into is before the magnet reaches the bottom magnets repulsion on the left it experiences it on the way down on the right, if you can break a magnetic field on the right you would solve the equation, however until that happens your theory is "stumped"

  • your arc is off a bit, not an entirely horrid idea

  • see my ramp magnet "my channel is gilbondfac"

  • Use less metal parts.. CD good metal backing to shuck up magnatisim bad.. Think of springs and the flux of genomic magnitic forces. So close my freind.. the thing is thoug it well over heat fast and only gevi 3-1 or less out put.. Take it from me Im Russian..

  • your idea of using the north poles to push the disk is good but the rest is obviously not good at all

  • welcome to the internet

  • i think this is quite a nice approach to perpetual motion, he just needs to buy more magnets, all these complicated designs are just horrible, simpler is much, much better, have about 5 magnets on the disk, and ten on the liner outside it, great idea, i rly wanna try it

  • certainly gets you thinking. every attempt that produces a negetive outcome is one step closer to a positive outcome.

  • the idea is interesting, I just think you shoud have 3 magnets on the disk and at least 4 around. that should get it working

  • get it working b 4 u post

  • haha if he actually gets it to work he better not post it, but make a patent!!!

anyway dont the magnets basically work like springs? Isn't this like wanting to let a weight on a spring jump up and down forever?

  • Your idee is interesting. I think it would work if you add mass to the magnet on the disk, and add other magnets (better a semi-moon) on the outside. Giving it some speed or (energy) initially it would be work, for me.

  • idiot why would you post a failure and waste my time that I will never get back

  • build a camshaft on the cd so when its about to stop the other magnet will drop closer pushing more force cousinging it to keep spening it mite work

  • This has probably been discussed already but would ballast help on the other side of the CD?

I don't feel like reading all the posts.

  • And I thought a little kid drawing on the bathroom wall with a crayon was bad. Wait til his wife see's this.

  • ABSOLUTE FAIL

  • FAILURE

  • We built gravity/magnetic motors when I took an "electronics" course in college back in 2001. Never came to think of using it for a generating application.

  • Thats because its IMPOSSIBLE.

  • I had a similar idea involving magnets + gravity.

  • I literally laughed out loud when I saw 1:35.

But seriously keep trying, you're only short on D.

Also order up some earth magnets, or like grab some hard disk batteries, and remember 'three' it's very important.

  • This is imposible, you are triying to create a perpetummobile, and that can not be created

    sory for my english

  • try putting another magnet at the opposite side of the disk where you put the magnet

  • Try it with Two Magnets? or use more outer attraction magnets

  • I quote Homer Simpson "...Young Lady In This House We Obey The Rules Of Thermal Dynamics!"

  • No it won't

  • put more magnets around and it will work

    will it>? :D

  • nice try.

    keep trying。

  • jajajajj FAIL!!

  • it would be better to balance the disk othewise it would shake apart if you got some kind of rotation

just now its not balanced thats why it wont keep turning

  • Where's the gravity?

  • your idea sucks

  • Have you ever heard about something called FRICTION... it's the thing preventing infinite free energie...

  • no thats called the goverment

  • es una buena idea pero podrias probar poniendolo en forma orizontal

  • dude the fact that you were smart enough to realize that you need more than one drive, almost had me. But when you drove screw anchors into your bathroom shower wall....uuuuhm a nope!

  • It is the best comedy I have seen for years!

  • maybe he should have got it to work BEFORE making the video. Right?

  • i dont have a big knowledge on magnets, but wouldnt it be possible to have a small magnetic feild "pulling" the central magnet, and have a larger feild just past it to "push" it along, focusing on the sides of the disc that are spining towards the ground and sky? if i am wrong please reply and tell me how the idea is wrong.

  • 4 Minutes and 16 seconds of shit

  • I think all yours are very inspiring....

    kind regards....... :)

  • you need some more magnet on the opposite site to make sure one direction of spinning. it wont work like this.

  • it wont work if you use electric magenet then mayby

  • xD

keep trying!! just a little help... think about magnetic field as a solid thing..

  • AdminOnDuty is right. then again, when is anything NOT about *the sweet spot"..?

You need to think it through in stages and test in stages. At what distance do the rotor and fixed magnets start to attract one another? At what distance do they start to repel? Would pivoting the fixed magnet at the bottom during transit, change the equation in any way?

There is a sweet spot. I think you need more component-interaction testing to find it.

One man's opinion, use it as you are wont to.

  • It not going to work hardhead!

  • Hi furzeham,

I got a comment that might draw your interest. At the site: overunity dot com/index.php/topic,4375.0.html (there are many folks there who focus upon the same interests and share research and development of various projects.) Best regards to you and yours!

  • This is funny... I like the fact that you are so confident in your work. Maybe a few more dollors will work, well maybe not, you know inflation these days. Good Luck!!! A+

  • It's not the winning, just the taking part. Playing with magnets alwasys has been and always will be fun above all else. If someone comes up with something astonishing one day then great but in the meanwhile at least we're all having a good time :-)

  • I agree I just bought a load of magnets just to have some fun playing around and maybe solve all the worlds problems but that would only be side issue of the playing with magnets :)

  • I've had this concept drawn up for quite some time and share your feelings that the two will work together. However when I set it to math I found that the field density needed was gradient values not obtainable by current off the shelf magnets. Also it is imperitive that the final magnet set be rotated a bit and a shunt included to prevent negative torque on the rotor. There is a sweet spot where momentum, inverse square gravity and inverse cube magnetics merge. They must all work together.

  • Have courage my riend. It's a shame that some are so quick to judge upon what they absolutely think they know. Nature is filled with such beautiful mystery. So many "real" things in this life are "unseen."

  • yah it will never work why dont u consider the magnet law.

    Opposites attract and likes repel!

  • This won't work because a magnet on disc is fixed.

If a magnet can move on axis by others magnetic force,

    may be it work.

  • This is a classic example of where people can't seem to wrap their minds around the fact that gravity and magnets are energy neutral.

There is no "gravity assist" because the fall on the right is cancelled out by the climb on the left.

Look at the magnet on the bottom. It repels the approaching magnet on the platter at first thus slowing it down, and then it pushes it away to speed it up, for a net gain of zero.

  • I think what Drevtoobe is trying to say here is that Gravity and Magnetism are conservative forces and net to zero when object movement ends up back where it started. However the two forces have different gradients over distance and this differential can be exploited when used together.

  • It will hang at the maximum attraction point and will stop as it gets closer to the repulsive magnet. Unfourtunatly this needs a little work. Gravity is the key though. Maybe one day we humans will succeed in attaining free energy. One day I will post my discoveries. Thanks for sharing!

  • It must be able to take up the other magnet at the total bottom. And let it slowly fall over the other side.

    I hope you succeed :)

  • Spacing is a bear on these... I think the idea is like Crob227 as he has used in effect with one coil driving the wheel and using magnets around the coil to speed up the return to the coil.

  • With a proper design, this just might work. Keep going with it. Shield the attractive force coming out of the curve and also shield the repulsive force coming into the bottom magnet. Good Stuff!!!!

  • How do I achieve magnetic shielding ?

  • I have to admit, I don't know. I am new to this free energy quest, so my knowledge is limited, but I am extremely fascinated by it. I did see a video by klicUK where he used something he called GIRON to shield the entry into a triforce gate. The video is called, "shielding the trigate stack." Hope this helps.

  • you can shield a magnetic field using any magnetic metal that conducts the flux away... iron,nickel... problem of course is that other magnets are attracted to the shield instead of the magnet that's hiding behind it.

  • The most common magnetic shielding material is called mu-metal. If you google it or check out wikipedia you can read about it. There are other shields, but don't waste time just "trying" different metals you have laying around - they wont work. One metal you might have handy is the one that's adhered to the magnets in an old harddrive. Also, you can buy the stuff online and in different types - like solid metal or flexible thick-paperlike stuff etc. Some work better than others. Good luck

  • good idea
