@tweakrenegade He has a point though. They make a big spectacle out of the NFL Draft, yet we usually don't actually know the results of that draft or "who had a good draft" until years later! That being said, I like watching the NFL draft, haha. I like saying to myself 5 years later "oh wow! I remember when he was drafting" even referring to some 5th rounder. I remember when the Patriots drafted Brady in the 6th. It's good to have those memories and it's a fun off-season "Event."

I think it's both entertaining and funny. It feels like someone should bring up that there are actual sports being played that could be watched instead of the draft, which is a much bigger spectacle than the NBA or NHL ones are (though that's generally because more people watch it, so it makes sense).

I like the draft though.

Also, ESPN runs sportscenter at 6 pm ET to compete with 5 pm and 6 pm editions of local news in the central time zone and the eastern time zone, (aka the two contiguous zones with the most people in them). ATH and PTI are two very good lead ins to sportscenter as well.
