@willyjones7 I often hear the charge that Ton Paul is "a nutter" yet rarely iare the reasons ever explained as to why. It appears that some unthinking individuals are merely repeating haphazardly television-based personal attacks.
@willyjones7 he wants to dismantle an institution that has kept the USA as a world superpower with an extremely high GDP and a very low inflation. That
@willyjones7 USA has a current inflation of 3% which is by far the lowest in the world. Inflation is important because it helps to keep prices steadily growing, thus stimulating the economy. The government could easily stop all inflation by shredding billions of dollars but they dont, because it would be suicide. Deflation means lowering of prices. Deflation means bad economic situation. Its basic economics but I wouldn't expect you to understand.
@foolcow1976 they're bad for the economy because they do not encourage trade. There is no incentive to produce more so the GDP will remain stagnant and/orwill lower
@WKaliberr So, businesses no longer want to increase their profits when prices are low? That is very interesting. Can you go into more detail as to why that is the case?
@foolcow1976 Its a domino effect. We need inflation because we need to print more. We need to print more partially because of the population growth. If prices were stagnant and the dollar lost 3% of its value every year, like it does now, companies would lose money if they kept the prices low. . Not to mention the fact that there would be no incentive for investors because they could keep the cash from year to year without it losing value. Inflation creates movement in the economic system.
@WKaliberr Inflation IS printing more. So you're saying we need inflation because we need inflation. That's not an explanation.
If prices are stagnant, that implies the dollar is holding its value, not that it is losing 3% of its value every year. The value of the dollar is the inverse of the general price level, isn't it? So you've lost me there.
@WKaliberr "Investors could keep the cash from year to year without it losing value." This implies that the sole and overriding concern for all investors is to not lose value. If this were true, nobody would ever buy stocks when the interest in a savings account is greater than the inflation rate. But this happens all the time. I'm guessing investors want to increase the value of their portfolios as much as possible.
@WKaliberr "Inflation creates movement in the economic system." Does this mean that nobody did any work before inflation existed? If so, I cannot fathom why the human race didn't completely starve to death long ago.
More specificity regarding Dr. Paul's alleged mental condition would be appreciated. How does seeking transparency of the Federal Reserve, the promotion of sound money, and a balanced budget make an individual, whomever he or she might be, make them "crazy?"
hope that will be true, but then again hope is a very bleak word. most likly as the Bible states, it will take the end of our secular ways for the people to see what truth was in front of their eyes and that they chose to ignor.
Paul is sooo on-target.. Bernanke is nothing more than a common criminal dressed in DC attire.
To Bernanke I say this: You've been uncovered! We see you! You won't be able to carry on your criminal and unconstitutional activity for long, now. People are on to you and they will not stand by while you help others to rape our nation.
We have the right to bear arms against an unruly government, and although Congress should beware, this also pertains to YOU Bernanke.
Ending the Fed will not be nearly enough. The IRS has to go too. And while we're at it, we should toss out Congress and fire the President as well. After all, they're the people who established, and then maintained, these terrible systems.
What guarantee do we have that if we end these systems, that the government won't re-instate them in the future? The only way for us to be eternally safe from these people, is to stop relying on them. We must end government tyranny.
I like how Ron Paul uses his time, he knows that getting into questions and answers with these people is almost useless. So better to keep beating them over the head with facts and logic.
There's a good documentary out there called "The Money Masters". It talks about how the federal reserve has robbed us blind since 1913. It's right here on youtube. Watch it.
Government and central banks created this problem and now the Fed and gov't want to solve the problem THEY created by expanding their power? Hello America time to wakie, wakie.

Ron Paul is common sense.
The Fed is Diabolical.
When the fed is gone, the whole of America will feel a weight lifted off its shoulders.
Till then it will only feel heavier and heavier, year after year.
Its called Percentage of tax vs purchasing power of our watered down dollar.

"low inflation"?
our dollar has lost 96% of its value since
