  • You seem to be involved in a lot of incidents....could it be that your style of confrontational riding is part of the problem....please remember that in any bike-car collision, the car driver walks away with perhaps a small fine, whilst the bike rider ends up in hospital with serious, life-changing injuries. Being able to say"I was legally in the right" or"I have every right to be in this lane" or "filtering is legal"won't assist you with being able to walk again following your serious injuries.

  • Damn, Missed again!

  • Typical car driver

  • Get a good view of the tags, then send links to all insurance comapnies. Then when they do get claims they can see the trend of the driver.

Better yet, call your politicians and tell them to create a law like some US states have "Driver point system" each offence has points. So many points and license is gone for months. Each time after few point and longer suspensions.

  • Whats worse, being called a twat or cunt!

  • How come you have so many incidents when ringing. You must be causing some of these problems.

I ride regularly and have very few incidents ..... think you may be a trouble maker.

  • @Petergm999 Count my incident. Remember many of my videos are not about incidents at all. Then consider I've been filming since the start of 2007, and I cycle nearly every day to work, and that is currently 12 miles each way. Now think about how often you have incident. Extrapolate and correct for distance and time. Tell me how you get on.

  • Same thing happened to me last week on my bike. You have to be ready on the brakes at intersections. Most motorists are good though (I drive more than I cycle).

  • lol

  • I DID YOU TWAT. can't stop watching that!

  • Not being cheeky but by the looks of your videos youd be safer getting yourself a car, although id love to see your face to see if iv even seen you about before :) x

  • all he was doing was timing it so he pulled out behind, maybe abit eager he was, but you didnt need to slow down...

  • I've had this happen when I was in a Big White car...some people just should not drive!

  • @ellisd82 Same here; big white convertible. Impatient idiot looked my why and decided to pull out a bit. Had to stop my car in front of him (couldn't make the turn anymore).

  • And there are drivers like that in almost every country. I nearly get nailed by one every day on the way in to work. All because drivers refuse to see a cyclist as an equal!

  • I'm not a cyclist but I do respect them. What I want to know is in these countries who in the fuck decided it would be a good idea to mix cars and bikes on the same road? I ride a motorcycle and people have a hard time seeing motorcycles let alone a bicycle.

  • @chicomilo

I've just had TWO motorbike accidents in the past 6 months. Both NOT my fault. One at 10mph and one at about 15mph. IDIOT car drivers.

Get a great big FOOKIN LOUD exhaust! :o)

I've got one now and everyone seems to move out of my way!

  • @owdrider I got the semi loud exhaust also! lol

  • @KeepEuropeWhite with arseholes like you driving on the road, it's no wonder people don't want to cycle.

  • riding a bike on the streets in glasgow is really not that much fun. i now try to avoid as much as possible.

  • Notice at 0.30, the car is already half a length over the stop line. At this point he is obstructing traffic flow. At 0.32, he is pulling out ahead of the cyclist.

This is abysmal and dangerous driving.

  • Magnatom Can i call you MAG , i have an idea why don't you put some bells and tassles and a wee basket on your bike as this may help other road users see you ? or dress like a big pink bunny and cycle just an idea :-))

  • you gt pwned lol u scream like a girl

  • LMFAO!!!! Omg the sound you made then was absolutely imperrishable, fantastic! I can't imagen a doctor saying "I did you twat!".

  • Poor driver left his guide dog at home, so he could not see.

  • Your approach was so fast the driver thought you were going straight on, no harm done really, he did stop and did say he didnt see your signal, maybe try and make it clearer or buy indicators do you not agree

  • @2wheelsteve Mmm. Yes you might have a point there. Where can you get those big floppy sponge hands from... ;-)

  • @magnatom He still would have not noticed you there even if you would have slide cross his bonnet.

  • @magnatom Lol now that would be a sight. Cyclists using those big hands haha.

  • @2wheelsteve Now do you really think that that driver would have seen any kind of indicator?

  • @busog97641 I bloody hope so cause thats what I use ;-)

  • @2wheelsteve

"approach was so fast" - define fast? 30mph? 25mph? 20mph?

The same speed as a car maybe? Probably less?

Can bikes travel within the LEGAL LIMIT?

  • @owdrider relative to a pedal cycle

  • @2wheelsteve

I get what you mean, but I reckon car drivers need to realise that some of us (well, when I'm fit anyway :o$) can actually keep up with most cars in a 30 zone, especially when the traffic volume is up.

It'd be good to get them educated into the fact that we're not all 5mph'ers, don't you reckon?

I've been ploughed into on an island by a car pulling out from the junction while I was on the island on my MTB. I got lucky and walked away. My bike wasn't so lucky.

  • @owdrider Yea though I would not cycle my pedal bike on the roads, your a sitting target, motorbike is much safer ;-)

  • @skinnbob they arent really anti car vids- more anti bad, stupid and dangerous driving vids =D

  • this happens almost every time I ride, here in the states drivers don't think cyclists should even be on the road.

  • @AKA1Ralph in boston run us over and act as we dont exists, maybe i should carry a land mine on my back LOL

  • Even if the cyclist wasn't signalling a turn, the driver should have given way. It would be no more 'correct' to pull out into a cyclist who he thought was going straight than it was to pull into a cyclist who was turning right! Those little dotted lines mean that he has to GIVE WAY!

  • Ok, one of the rare videos I've seen where the car driver is actually at fault

  • idiot - signal or not, he was not looking properly. I am not a cyclist, but a motorcyclist and even we dont get spotted by dumb car drivers (and yes I drive a car as well).

Anyway, you do not need to signal once you have made the position to the turrn point, at which he then started to move out on you. How can you have your hand out whilst making the actual turn, need both hand on the handle bar. so signal to center of road then make turn like you did. True muppet!!!

  • He we past the line he was ready to pull out, i'll agree he should of looked again but you also should of indicated you where turning and also waited for him to pull out from what i can gather he'd was creeping to get a better view of the road ahead.

  • To all the dumb fucks that are saying he should stay behind the give way line, ponder this one. What if the bus decided to stay in that bus stop for 5 minutes? How is the car driver supposed to see what's coming unless he pulls slowly forward to get a clear view of the road in both directions? I'm not saying the car driver was in the right nearly hitting him, but you lot should read the situation properly before saying he was oh so wrong for being over the dashed line.

  • Agreed, watching the video, the car is clearly across the line before the cyclist approaches the junction, can't see the cyclist indicating so we'll assume that he did, but, surely it'd have been safer to let the car go and go round behind it???

  • Another case of mindless car driving nonsense. As an avid Mountain bike rider and motorcyclist, these cretins are the most annoying thing on the road. Yes you get the odd pratt on motorbikes and cycles, however the majority of car drivers cant even grasp basic things like observation. Also they may not like the 2 wheeled road users, motorized or pedal, but there is no reason to endanger our life's because their in a safe aluminum bore fest box.

Anyway ride safe and greetingd from England.

  • He's obligated under the Highway Code to remain behind the line until it is safe to pull out. It clearly wasn't here. It is the driver who should wait, not the cyclist.

Should he have hit the guy even his insurer would throw a dim view upon the manouvre. And possibly several thousand quid down the drain.

  • Personal injury claim :D

  • Are you nuts? the car should be giving way..... !

  • "twat" lmao

  • wow. pathetic. the purpose of the dashed line is to wait behind it until its safe to pull out. very dangerous driving.

  • There you go, similar to what happened to me, but the driver did'nt stop !!

  • Comment removed

  • It shouldn't be up to him to let you in. That's the annoying thing. It's magnatom's right of way. Annoying that drivers don't seem to heed that, though, eh?

Mag, if I hear rightly, the guy shouts at you for not signaling? Even if you were going straight he was a pillock. Edging over the Give Way line like he does. Far too aggressive.

  • In sync with the flow? Sounds like a euphemism for always giving way to anything with an engine.

  • @JimexJimex

In this case the cyclist clearly has the right of way. How can you not see that? The driver cannot 'let him in' - the road doesn't belong to him at this junction. It belongs to the vehicles on the main road. The driver MUST wait until the road is clear. That's the law.

  • @BeeryUSA

Please refer to your driver's manual: Right of way is GIVEN, not entitled.

EVEN IF you are entitled by the law to turn before the car, is it really WISE to do so? Yep. It might be lawful, but intercepting the route of a car without communication / verification is. just. unwise.

  • glad you weren't hurt magnatron

  • upyergarry's missus ran off with a cyclist, poor chap. He masturbates into a sock each night, when he comes he cries"Bloody cyclists, sob". It's terribly sad.

  • LMAO!! Spindrift, very funny!! Have you googled his other comments, it seems he will be a lonely boy soon, LOL. He knows not how to be polite, haha!!

  • the old cunt upyergarry said he like to see tom flattened dead but he must be old as he into old duffers car so he prbly be on his way out soon fuckin old miserable twat

  • @fastfred26 Did you write that while bunking off from school ? Maybe you should think about attending classes a bit more often because you are just coming across as an ignorant moron. If you up your game a bit you might one day be able to afford an "old duffers car" yourself. You will find it makes a nice change from waiting for the bus.

  • I always make a 'show' of using my hands so that way, witnesses and the driver can see that I made a clear turn. The motorist just didn't want to wait and his language just proves he was no gentleman of the roads. I bet he has a string of convictions and he was nervous in case he was about to get disqualified as as had so many.

  • dumb fuckin bastard driver

  • upyergarry is obvious a gay boy they always hang round yer lycra clad ass just they get angry cos they in denial. ones like him always complain the most big fat poofter lol

  • @fastfred26 Yes I am clearly gay because I drive a car and don't have to cycle or take the bus like you. Your thought process is faultless !

  • when the driver commited why didn't he floor it - tw*t motorist's

  • I love the way the driver takes a few seconds to recover, then yells as if you were in the wrong! I agree, it's not worth reporting, but the driver's an idiot. Maybe he's posting here...?

  • Google, 'Magnatom FAQ'

  • Umm, please point out where I broke any rules of the road and we can take the conversation from there.

Oh and while your at it... do you ever break the speed limit driving a car?

  • (Of course I am assuming you are old enough to drive a car...)

  • So your not answering my questions then?

  • Let me translate: I'm not willing to have a discussion as I know I am talking a pile of steaming turd.

Anyway the only bit of myself I film is usually my hands. They are exceptionally wonderful hands though, so you could be right about my ego...

  • @upyergarry You have passed your test haven't you? I mean, all the things you've covered there are some of the the things you're told you to look out for when you do your training.... and no, I'm not a cyclist...

  • @rootsquare Please translate into English

  • @upyergarry Initially I thought "Brilliant, we've got a grammar nazi" but then realised you're right about my post, must have gotten them mixed up with another rant I was on. What I was trying to say was that you seem to think it's not your responsibility for being constantly vigilant, alert and aware of other road users and having to be ready for unexpected behaviour. But I was saying that you do and that's what you're taught when learning to drive.

  • @rootsquare Fair enough. What I was unsuccessfully trying to convey with that comment was that cyclists who think that it's reasonable to assume that all drivers are constantly alert and expecting cyclists to try to commit suicide are deluding themselves. But then playing that kind of Russian roulette with a ton and a half of steel puts them firmly in the delusional category anyway, doesn't it ?

  • BEEP! BEEP! TROLL ALERT! TROLL ALERT!

  • LOL I love the fact that I dont pay VED on my bike and that it personally winds your right up, Garry. D'ya like me lycra *slaps arse!* Ya love it! Haha!!

Responsible for the near miss... Mags! You'll have to remove that massive magnet from the front of your bike, LMAO!! ;-P

  • Not that bothered?

You have a funny way of showing it, given that you ploughed in here, a propos of nothing, describing cyclists as a 'bunch of cunts'.

What a strange individual you are.

  • Me = lycra clad 'twat'. Shock horror I have a car! Dweeby = nope sorry. You = probably overweight! Also, why comment about paying road tax?! Idiot. Oh shit I realise why now, it's because your jealous you can't ride a bicycle ;)

  • I started to read it, but got distracted by seeing myself in the mirror. Damn I look good in lycra! Fatty want a picture of me? ;)

  • Just a typical driver really. Nothing exceptional at all.

  • he was half way across the road before you even met with him...

  • Exactly the same thing that happened to me a few months back. The minute you take your hand in to brake / corner, some motorists assume you're no longer turning and despite the fact you're right in front of their nose (and they've sat and stared at you indicating for 10 - 5 secs beforehand), they'll pull out into you.

I also got told that I should have had my hand out (which I had, for about 200m until the point I was turning / braking in front of him.

  • Mags, every time I watch one of your videos I can feel the cheeks of my arse clench long before the incident. My daily commute from Dunfermline to South Queensferry and back seems positively idyllic compared to a jaunt through Glasgow.

  • What a div that driver is. I wonder how much he pays in insurance as a result, of if he's insured at all, LOL!

  • Even if you weren't turning and/or signalling still makes his driving a piece of cr*p as he nearly drove into the side of you, regardless!!

Muppet is probably too soft a word for that pr*ck!!

  • Yeah, get an airzound! There are too many idiots on the road that don't pay attention to their driving. And blame everyone else but themselves. Everyone including many driver have to put up with these idiots too.

Blast him with 120dB. He'll probably blame you for being noisy ;)

  • Comment removed

  • I can't believe he had a go at you over this, you were passing in front of him when he started to pull off!! What an idiot.

The fact he wasn't waiting correctly at the give way line is very telling I think, obviously he's a sloppy or inattentive driver.

You can just imagine him moaning about the cyclist he met on his journey to his friends and family. Urrrggh makes your blood boil!!

  • @jonredhornet Clearly it's you who are visually challenged as you failed to see the fucking great bus that was obscuring the driver's view, thus he was slowly pulling out until he could see what was coming, as specified in the Highway Code. Then along comes fuckwit magnatom at speed, failing to read the situation exactly as you have. If he'd been awake like he expects everyone else to be he would have fucking slowed down instead of trying to bend it round the car like a crazed lemming.

  • @upyergarry Blimey, somebody got out of bed this morning the wrong way. I'm hoping you simply have a grudge against magnatom, if not, I'm hoping you don't share the road with others.

  • @jonredhornet I don't have a grudge against magnatom per se, I am merely pointing out that he's a self-righteous, publicity-seeking hypocrite. This video seems to have attracted a profusion of halfwits who are just taking out their frustration that they can't afford to drive on those who can. To prove my point: so far I have been labelled as an old, fat, gay, retarded tosser whose wife has left him for a cyclist and has to resort to wanking into a sock, purely because I admit to driving a car.

  • @upyergarry Dude, try and calm down and not take all of this so personally. nobody is having a go at your driving.

Also, most cyclists on here do drive cars including Mags. This isn't a car vs bike thing, cyclists on YT moan about other cyclists as well and we pick each other up on points of safety. I've driven since 1992 and ridden motorbikes since 1997.

If you're recieving negative comments, I can only say it might be due to how you're coming across. you're very aggressive.

  • @upyergarry ...if you want people to listen to your opinion, you're not going about it correctly. Avoid ad hominem attacks and present your arguments calmly, use reason, avoid stereotyping and be willing to change your mind, otherwise you will receive negative comments by return. You'll find people will listen to you and answer in a calm and reasoned way.

  • @jonredhornet Thanks, I appreciate the thought but I don't need advice on how to deal with these idiots. I respect that you are probably a friend of magnatom but my opinion of him won't change until he stops precipitating near-accidents just to get hits on YouTube. Just consider this: If I had videoed all the stuff I've seen halfwits on bicycles get up to over the years I would have a film lasting a week. There's no need for this shit.

  • @upyergarry Nobody here would mind if you took videos of bad cyclists, in fact I know many YT cyclists who would welcome it (I would). Many here are against bad / dangerous driving, whatever vehicle they're using.

I don't know Mags that well, but he appears to be somebody who is concerned with safety. Even if he wanted to do this to get hits, why is that wrong?

  • @jonredhornet You really, honestly don't see why it's wrong ?

  • @upyergarry only reason people would target you is if your siding with dangerous drivers- i, aswell as many cyclists/motorcyclists have been hit by a car, nearly hit or know one who has - and its scary stuff- magnatom is simply highlighting where road users get things wrong and how bad they could have been- if no one tells you then you dont know! as for the insults- you have just said every cyclist is poor- simply not the case!! and i am curious to see what reason you have to thin this is wrong
