alright lets get shit straight, they arent the "best band to come out in 15 years", yes theyre talented, but there are other bands who are just as creative and technical as them, such as between the buried and me, children of bodom, arch enemy, job for a cowboy, trivium, etc etc, they are even better than a7x, but as far as songs go, theyre good, as far as syns solos go, he doesnt have much creativity and relys mostly on scales and wails rather than his own style, and hes messy, ie: this video

this guy is 26. I think he's one of the best, because most guitarists are, like, 60% technique and then only 40% talent, or 90% creativity and 10% technique. Synyster has it all in balanced ammounts, besides he sweep picks like a demon. He knows what he's doing and he's got talent, lots of it, and the "special touch" you just don't find that easily, it's like he was born to do this.

I really like him, but yeah, there are better guitarists. But Syn surelly is the Special One

well, NOW.. after these 2 last albums... even if their 4th album isn't as good as the first 2 (City Of Evil is quite good, too, but they were already kind of mainstream at that point) they're still a good band. You don't find much bands like them nowadays, they're all good musiciand and they're not posers. But you're right, such a great guitarist should be in other kind of band. But he's pretty young, I'm sure in time he'll find his way to be on top. He deserves it.

I am a guitar player myself in a band. First, the Half-Fingered Gloves do not help with sound at all. They are merely to prevent blisters when Palm Muting the strings, or sweeping. If you notice, the glove never even touches the strings. Second, I doubt any of you could play anywhere near that degree.
