the melody's are triggered by Colm's drums. They are on a computer. In other words, pre recorded.

Who plays the melody live? Belinda and Kevin were playing doing the rhythm part. It sounds like a synth though...

@64Fathoms The sample(melody) is done through a computer. Debbie Googe, their bassist, has a control board for all the samples. Much like Kevins control board to turn pedals and amps on and off, she uses her foot to activate the different samples. Soon, When You Sleep, I Only Said etc are all controlled through her.

Oh my God! I am in awe of this band. The power and magic of the music and their presence on stage is mind blowing. I fell in love with Loveless when I first heard it in 1993. They did'nt play Sweden or else I would have been there. I love the fact that all the vids I have seen on youtube of this gig the crowd are going crazy. Japan - I respect you good taste. Hope Kevin and the band get round to releasing more music soon. My Bloody Valentine you make this crazy old world a better place.
