  • China, Japan, Korea. All these countries have some similar instruments. And it's all their traditional instrument. But they have different style in music and playing.

  • I'm sorry there might be similar instrument in China or Japan. But 해금(Haegeum) is a traditional Korean instrument.

    The drama is called Chuno, which means Slave Hunters.

  • So this is a Korean violin that Hmong people play? Or Hmong have their own version? I know we do, but I'm just curious the source or if it's independently designed. I know that waaaaaaaaaay back, Hmong and Koreans share a common root.

    What niamtxiv said. Hmong are as much a part of China as China is a part of Hmong, but Hmong are not Chinese. Hmong are known as Miaozu on the mainland, PRC. In SE Asia and the West, we are known as Hmong.
