Actually it works well once you set it up. You still have to adjust a couple of them the old fashioned way to know how many "clicks" for your valve clearance. Owing to different adjusters and thread pitch it is not the same on all cars. As your rockers and pushrods wear together the round convex of the ball makes the rocker concave and running a straight feeler gauge through those round surfaces won't give you a true reading valve clearance reading. This is where the click adjust really works.
