@IanROX22 no, when an object falls for a long time, depending on the air resistance, it will reach a maximum speed called terminal velocity. once they reach that speed they cant go any faster. and btw no objects terminal velocity could destroy it.

Im still trying to figure out the timeline...., 1st its metroid: zero mission, metroid return of samus, super metroid, metroid other m, metroid fusion, metroid prime, metroid prime hunters, then its 2 and 3......, is this the correct order is am i missing something?

@Darklord4vr Prime isn't canon in the metroid storyline apparently but yes the rest of your timeline is correct. Fusion would be after other M because of ridley being dead then infected with parasite x and nightmare being brought back etc.

@ZMat3 There quite clearly wasn't enough room for Ridley to maneuver in that tunnel complex. He couldn't have turned to face upwards when he was above samus, and if he tried to ascend while he was facing upwards (when he was beneath samus) he'd still have to fight Samus.

And then, after the Leviatan hit it, Meta-Ridley became the Leviatans guardian, corrupted by Phazon and named Omega-Ridley.
