The problem isn't one or two person's jobs, but millions. Closely related is the entire US (and by extension, world) economy - which will, at best, be severely negatively impacted, reducing our ability to find cleaner sources of energy.
You are correct that there are examples of cleaning the environment creating jobs - short-term, high-risk jobs, and almost exclusively for the government - again causing a drain on the economy!
You said "cleaning up the environment", not "preventing further degradation of the environment".
You will note that I addressed creation of jobs relating to future impact in my first paragraph - if the economy is negatively impacted, the "green jobs"go away as companies downsize or close. The only way that will be avoided is to plow yet more tax dollars into "green", which will further negatively impact the economy leading to more layoffs in "green" jobs ...
@dragonsrightwing All you've done is repeat a talking point, view that is promulgated especially by the oil industry & other "polluting" industries, and carried forward by the politicians who cater to those special interest groups.
If you want any sort of meaningful debate you will have to come up with a specific piece of legislation or policy proposal.
Errr - I was responding to your post - not you to mine. And, to boot, all you've done is ignore the substance of the arguments by casting me as a stooge of "Big Oil". Sorry, I'm done: I don't waste my time answering straw men and ad hominem
@dragonsrightwing Congratulations. You managed to string together both "straw men" AND "ad hominem", the two most overused & hackneyed phrases of the pseudo intellectual bullshitters on YouTube, in the same sentence.
The Marxist Obama's entire agenda was to destroy the economy and blame it on the Bush administration and capitalism. He is succeeding. Unfortunately ZERO Republicans will call him out on it.
Why in Gods name do all these anchor ladies have to look like models and moviestars these days? Is it news or a news show?

Fucking Americans.
Now their precious job is more important than the earth's environment.
There are also examples of cleaning up the environment leading to the creation of jobs, but you will never hear about them on Fox.

@dragonsrightwing "Short term, high risk jobs"?
How is the manufacturing of solar cells, or more efficient batteries, or alternative fuels vehicles, etc "high risk" or "short term"?
