always loved reading his notes now listening to him in lots of clips and afe wthings he wrote on his own site...(and a few things i dont get anyhow...but..
Leo's stories alone are worth the price of admission. I'm still plain old jaw on the floor amazed at his guitar playing. I think I'd rather see him live than anybody else currently out there.
I want to hear saginaw Michigan I had that "TAPE IN 88 With rings on it { NOT BELLS] he said his voice sounded like greased goose farts I think It was pretty good Im wanna these guys that loves music but I need Singing and stories ..... Ah, ole Leo . . . first heard him play at the old coffeehouse he speaks about in Minneapolis, the Scholar Coffeehouse, about 40 years ago. I got hooked on his guitar playing back then, and still am!

This is an essence of the beauty of American thought and art. Why -and how- have we chosen to brutalize it with hate, war, slaughter, and greed?

Leo Kottke makes me smile with the way he plays and sings. The world needs more people like Leo.

When is Leo going to write a book? He obviously has a way with words and an affection for literature.

The strangest experience of my life so far has been seeing him and a string quartet cover "Linus and Lucy". Brilliant stuff.

I heard him tell a story about John Fahey and a
monastery of buddhist monks, with a pond full of
snapping turtles.

I saw Leo perform 30 years ago in New Orleans. He has aged beautifully. What a gift to the music world.
Thanks for sharing.
