Coldplay are what bands should be. They are want bands used to be. They are entertainers. I would much prefer to watch them then watch a few snooty people stand in front of mikes and sing perfectly in tune but be as exciting as watching paint dry. Chris Martin is a brilliant entertainer. He gets the crowd going and that is what it's all about. And... he doesn't bloody LIP-SYNC. He actually sings live. I for one love coldplay, their songs are so powerful, fun, and entertaining. Rock on Chris.

@BluesFinners In all the concerts i have seen Coldplay do even TV appearances, not once have i seen Chris Lip-sync once.. Something most singers these days have to do cause they cant sing live...

@LeahDino32 hi there leah, they were in Ridgefield, Washington in July of 2009, I missed the concert due to things I had no control over. Not sure if you live near there. I was very sad I couldn't go. Oneday I too hope I can see them! ;) I can't post the web address in this post due to youtube not allowing that at the moment, reasons I don't know why, of which is strange, twitter and facebook allow it! . But look up coldplay on youtube, with some people videoing the concert :) Enjoy.

@Gabukea I was at Glastonbury on the Saturday and I thought Chris was amazing. It was a very emotional night so I'm definitely not a hater. You are making me sound like I am, and I have everything Coldplay have done. I've just heard him do the same song (at the O2 aswell) and he sounded fantastic. I just think he was a little out of breath that was all. I'm not criticising his work ethic. Chris is such a humble guy and a wonderful performer.

Children in Need is not a show-ground for acts to prove themselves, it is a way of bringing people together to give to a good cause, criticizing acts like Coldplay or any other act for not having a good enough vocal is wrong, they are all great singers and performers who have come out to raise some money, none of them had to do this, they did it because they want to help CiN give a better childhood to those who need it most.
