I was living in Fargo at this time.That year sucked. We got a 130 inches of snow that year. This video shows only half of what we got that year. I remember driving home, and the snow was above the roof of my car. Gotta love ND
here in Buffalo, NY we got over 7 FEET of snow in ONE storm in Dec, 2001. you have to try to climb to the top of it to even walk. then when the national guard plowed it, fuggetaboutit, it was 20 feet high. nowhere to put it. had to ship it out of town. couldn't dump it in the lake cuz of the salt in in from the streets.
I live near Buffalo now. You get the snow but it isn't near as cold here. Also, the snow melts sometimes between storms. In Fargo, it doesn't. Your stuck with it until spring. The weather is nicer here in Buffalo! Why do you think I left Fargo and live here?
I lived in Fargo at the time. The wind chill was -100! Kept my kids home from school that morning because it was coming down so hard. That was a good call because they sent everyone home at 10 am. I decided to go to a shelter because I didn't think my furnace would make it. Good call. It didn't.

You're exactly right. The sunshine makes it seem not so cold, but I remember how crazy cold it was that afternoon. Snow has a unique crunch when it's 20 below that it just doesn't have at zero or warmer.
I love North dakota. Rather live in this than Hot and humid days! Plus I love to Skate Snowmobile and Ski!And love having 4 seasons. People are wimps and cry about it being too cold. Big Deal
Cheap to live, friendly people. Not much diversity, though so the racism card hasn't had a chance to play out to much extent (imho). I don't see it, but I'm not in minority.
Here North Dakota: quiet, freezing winters, mosquitos in the summer, good farming, good place to raise a family, boring if you like going out or having a variety of things to do, spaced out country, flat on the east, low population, friendly. Like I said, good place to have a family, not very fun and exciting to live in though.

I lived in Fargo and remember this blizzard, it was my first big one since moving to North Dakota. Thanks for posting it, really brought back memories.Thank god I am back in Indiana.
I hope to post the 2nd half of the video soon. I'm glad I'm out of North Dakota too, and came back to Florida. No blizzard, but hurricanes are always popping up!

instead of being all hot and sticky all year long u get a different types of weather instead of just rain sun wind WE GET SNOW!
