People lose a lot of people they love in the war, so that's where the "lost love" comes in. In a different song from this album one of the lines are "slit the necks of soldiers while they sleep" implying that he thinks that americas army is pointless. This song is beautiful in everyway. This song has nothing to do with the army or soldiers being shipped oversea. In a different song from this album one of the lines are "slit the necks of soldiers while they sleep" implying that he thinks that americas army is pointless. This song is beautiful in everyway. But the slideshow ruined it.

That seriously made me want to cry. Brand New is one of my favourite bands and one of my really close friends (ok my ex boyfriend) joined the army last year and I will admit I have a newfound respect for what those men and women do.

The argument that those soldiers fight and die for your freedom isn't really accurate. They're dying because their government wants to implement freedom where it isn't supposed to. It's a moral question of intervention force. From clip pictures I know for sure that these soldiers are all simple humans who are put into tanks just to fight their flawed government's wars they should have a right to walk away from.
