He broke the rules to hide his sexuality, but he could have claimed more if he hadn't done that. I really don't think he was motivated by money. Anyway, just because he's a millionaire doesn't mean that he should have to pay significantly more than anyone else to become an MP (although he should be heavily taxed like all rich people). I feel really sorry for him. He's really talented as well... and he has hardly done anything wrong.
David Laws is an incredibly clever guy who sacrificed a lot to go into politics.
.
He wasn't "exposed" - he realised that he might have been unknowingly breaking the rules and announced it himself. The taxpayer lost nothing from his mistake, but he has said nevertheless that he will pay back all the money he spent on rent since 2004. And then he decided to resign. And then he referred himself for investigation. WHAT ELSE COULD HE HAVE DONE!?
He's very talented - so they keep saying on TV. Talented at butt-fucking. Talented at getting the shite out the end of his knob with a corkscrew. Talented at cocksucking and asslicking his way , literally , up the LibDem Party machine. And talented at stealing taxpayers cash for his gay lover. Something always stank about the Coalition Government. Now we know why - it was the stink of shite.
...therefore it is in everybody's best interests to force the Telegraph to reveal everything it knows - PRONTO - and lets have done with this 'expenses' matter once & for all.
No government should live in thrall to any media mogul who can twist public opinion whenever he/she is feeling a little mischievous or put out.
Yes, the Telegraph was right for 'outing' this hypocrite.
But one has to wonder, how many more aces the Telegraph has up its sleeve. It appears to me that every time the Tory party steps out of line, the labour party gains more votes, or the lib-dems gain more power (?) the Telegraph will be there to manipulate matters back towards the right.
He is also a homosexual. Not only is he involved in riping off us - the taxpayer - but he also is a sexual sinner. Is it not about time the Liberal party starting looking at returning to Christian values instead of following doctrines of demons?
Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. All support the growing police state, the aggressive wars, the banker bailouts and the destruction of British freedom and sovereignty. The voting system is there to give the illusion of choice. Research the new world order.
Sounds good! I am not an expert in this field but I will go for it. However, I totally agree with the views given in the last part of the speech and his comments regarding the nation is sleep walking into the conservatives ideas.
Laws support of academies is a shameful U-turn. They do not serve the poorest and neediest, they suppend and expel them, gradually marginalising those they profess to be serving - many questions of them need answering. Only today 40 pupils were suspended from one.
Choice is the wrong language and used endlessly by Blair - parents don't care about this.
I also reserve the right to suggest David LAws is out of his depth and better suited to the W&P portfolio, where he understood the issues
That's not an income issue it's a conduct issue. Just because someone comes from a poor background it doesn't mean they should be allowed to be disruptive.
What's a better and more liberal achievable alternative to academies?
gay or not... who cares about his private life??!!!

Laws has now resigned for being a fraudster.
His sexuality is irrelevant.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

This man is yet another political hypocrite.

@raymcvey
What Christian values do you mean? Mistreating Jews and homosexuals or destroying the classic Greek civilisation.
